I watch the reviews from both HWC and GN when I'm looking at cases, because two opinions are better than one. GN gives you a great look at how well the case performs in sound and thermals. HWC gives a better look at the structure and layout of the case, and how easy it is to build with. Both perspectives are important.

I would describe it more as function over form. My Corsair 900D is ugly as hell and huge, but very functional. Case manufacturers over the 2010's had to design more creative cases to keep people buying cases as ATX form factor has not changed since 1995. If you really wanted you could build a modern PC in a case from the late 90's and be perfectly fine. You can see in the mid 2010's a lot of design changed fell flat on their faces as they chased design over function. It seems now in 2020, they have learned a bit from that mistake.

Still using my CM Storm enforcer case. 200mm front intake fan, clear side panel, 2 each USB 2.0 and 3.0 in front, those 5 1/4" bays I now have put an aftermarket sliding drawer into to hold my USB drives as well as an optical drive, incredible cooling... It is from 2011 and is still a better case than over 90% of the current cases.
Tempered glass makes cases heavy to move and more breakable. Prefer plastic. Lack of 5 1/4" bays means no optical drive and I still have lots of DVDs. Aftermarket sliding drawers for these bays are great for storing USB drives, thermal paste, spare sata cables, various screws and MB/case parts and so on.

You left off one of the coolest cases I've seen in the last decade, the CoolerMaster Maker 5T. I still use it today, and it allows me to use an ATX or even EATX mobo, is completely modular, toolless everything and with beautiful tempered glass sides, which are a lot better than the smaller windows many of the ugly cases had. It is also mostly magnetically held together in several places, which makes taking off parts to clean very easy as well. This is a well thought out case, with great airflow, and is quiet.

I think the Masterbox NR 400 also worth mentioning. It is the best micro ITX case if you need both psu shroud, TG side panel, mash front for good airflow, Good air tower clearance for Cpu coolers and maybe an optical disc bay for your Blue Ray drive(or for something else) in Micro Itx form factor and with a small footprint.

Hi Hardware Canucks. May I also include, an honorable mention after watching one of your reviews, and also Gamers Nexus, and a couple of others: Silverstone Primera 01 RGB w/tempered/tinted glass side panel. Comes with 4 140mm fans (3 front, 1 exhaust, I've added the silverstone RGB fan grill on the exhaust fan), also added 2 be-quiet! "pure wings 2" on the top interior, 140 mm as well, blowing cool air down on the cpu, ram, and motherboard. My Ryzen 7 2700x is set to 4.1ghz in bios, and I maintain a thermal temp of 43c on average, and just 55-58c on load! Silverstone's thermal mesh performance is what sold me on this case, and I couldn't be happier...

I can't recommend it enough as my components are the coolest I have ever seen in a case. Sure there are a lot smaller ones, but considering all the features it gives while being smaller case, it is quite appealing, as long as we don't discuss the looks of it. Still waiting to see if Silverstone is able to improve the functional design somehow.
