    Just a great case and really pleasant to look at!

      It’s a good case sure - but it’s been the same case for years now. Only slight interior refinements vs what we say in 2017-2018-2019. Hoping for something truly different from FD in 2021.

    • @moepmoepblubb
      @moepmoepblubb 3 роки тому +8

      @@HardwareCanucks i get what you mean, but sometimes a proven and refined layout is not bad.
      For example my previous case was the be quiet Dark Base 900 Pro, while the interior was innovative at the time it had a lot of flaws, and i honestly didn't enjoy working in it. It is a good case for a server, but a horrible case for gaming.

    • @stanisawkowalski7440
      @stanisawkowalski7440 3 роки тому

      @@moepmoepblubb Why is it so bad? You mean rev. 2? Both 900 seem to have decent airflow (rev. 2 even better with faster fans), seem to be well filtered and quiet. I don't have experience with those cases, but from reviews both seem just great.

    • @moepmoepblubb
      @moepmoepblubb 3 роки тому

      @@stanisawkowalski7440 Hello, i'm sorry for answering so late, christmas...
      Yeah, the reviews and the reality are two different stories.
      On the first look, it seems, that there is enough mesh on the sides of the front panel, so that there should be no problem with airflow, but if you own a case and take a closer look, what's behind the mesh, you realize, that this is not the case. They covered up about 60% - maybe even more - with plastic... So when you close the door, the fans don't get enough air, the graphicscard and the cpu-fan / aio is loader.
      This was the problem i had. And for context, i did remove the air filter, and i had 3 bequiet silent wings 3 as intake-fans, that should supply the air, for a be quiet silent wings 2 fan in the rear, and two be quiet silent wings 3 on my 280mm aio in the top.
      Here is also the next problem, the top has not a very good clearence, and the airflow ist restricted in the same way, as in the front of the case. This leads to the effect, that the hot air bounces back into the case...
      With the front door closed, the PC was about twice as loud, when gaming... Probably not, what you would expect from a silent case.
      It also has more flaws, but as i said before, it is great for a server, where you would install your own cloudstorage for example. But it is not a good case for gamers. I also recommend using an air cooler and no aio in that case, that is what i'm going to do, when the new ryzens are more available and less expensive and i build a server in it with my older parts.
      I hope, that i could explain some of the problems well enough?

      @@moepmoepblubb Hi, no hurry with youtube. As you said, it's Christmas, so Marry Christmas and you, your family and friends stay safe during these shitty times. Coming back to bq!, from reviews I see high quality and design, amazingly ventilated, but then loud case (I mean rev. 2 - rev. 1 seems ventilated OK and quiet). That's why I was wondering, that maybe it's possible to achieve some nice golden ratio between the enough ventilation and lower noise. Except of that, from the look on the construction I wouldn't expect it would do well with AiOs - restricted front and top. I also woudn't expect the case with window (I understand, that you have rev. 2) will do well with noise during load. bq! makes great cases and gives with them the best fans from any case brands (imo overally best ballanced fans just on the market), but personally I woudn't trust them - they seem to be fully focused on reducing the noise, no matter the airflow cost. We've seen it with ,,soundproofing", but in real world restricting intakes of Silent Base 601 and 801, which they silently removed in newest 802. You have something similar. The same with magic, one cm thick foam of these cases - for some reason other specializing in quiet cases producers with bigger experience in topic ( Antec, Fractal, Nanoxia) don't use something like that. I don't know the reason why, but from my experience with damping the cases myself I suspect, that this foam works best, but gets warmer and warmer during longer loads and affecting the components temps (+ maybe even stinks :D) - blocks passive heat transfer. It's a shame that you bought definitely high-end case and you're not satisfied, but even complain about it. If you want to keep with quiet cases with options for AiO or increasing airflow to the max only when you need it and you need them more than yours Meshify 2, try Define 7. I have 7 Solid, can't say bad thing about it. What's worth mentioning, with my config (9700K and 2070S both stock and aircoolerd), there's just no difference in temps during gaming between completely closed and open version (door open, perforated top). Silent as off during webrowsing, nicely quiet during load - most of the time I don't hear computer when gaming, because of sounds from the speakers. Yo can check on my profile two clips of how it behaves in all configurations (all info in the description), which internet lacked to me, so I uploaded :]

    Just moved my ITX server from a Fractal Core 500 to an NR-200. It's a bit taller, but also a bit thinner, so overall still fairly compact. What was the real point, though, was getting 2 240mm rads vs just 1. It's actually pretty spacious, I even fit a full DDC with a tube res basically on top of the GPU at the back of the case. What I'd recommend to anyone trying to do the same, though, is don't use 3/8"x5/8" tubing, go thinner. Trying to fit those tubes with such tight bends was a pain. Also, I couldn't get the side rad to clear the GPU fittings without mounting it to the 280mm rails and only screwing in at the top to offset it up a little. So consider that as a possible necessity. Otherwise, surprisingly easy given the space constraints. Temps are great too cause the rads are standard 30mm thick and all but 1 fan is 25mm (and that one could've fit too, just without much room for exiting air to go anywhere, so it felt more prudent to go with a 15mm option)

    On the Lian Li Lancool Mesh. The triple hard drive cage is removable, it slides out through the psu bay after removing the retention screw.

    H1 has brilliant temps if you hotrod (or use a 3D printed extension bracket) 2 fans to the back. Way better than any mesh panel.

    Great vid! again you ventured off the beat and path into areas few would ever see, really good stuff! But that also meant you missed some of the more notable cases within their perspective market/size...well nothing is perfect :) Happy holidays to the team!

    That was terrific. I really enjoyed the story frame. I could see you using your evil twin in most of your videos, it's nothing anyone else does. And, last but not least, using the EvilTwin is very informative. Very creative.

    Nice review. The Lian li lancool II HDD is removable cage. You just need to remove some screws off the cage. I have done a vid on this you might want to check it out.

    You can actually remove the HDD bay from the lancool II. Move it to the psu area and rotate it until you can remove the 4 screws under the HDD bay. Then you can pull it out.

    Evil Twin does not have an evil-sounding voice. He did not scare me at all. Love the Lian Li mini. When I get my C-19 relief, oh that's right, I am a C-Corp, I do not get any stimulus. Oh this is bad, HWCanuks is my stimulus 😪. This channel is one of my favorites, keep it going, Merry Christmas, Happy Boxing Day, and to the year of the Evil Twin... (I think that is a Ducky special addition)

    My friend, everytime I see a case video of yours involving the Lancool II Mesh you say that the hard drive cage cannot be removed. When in fact it can and has in my build as well as plenty of others I've seen on reddit or youtube and with that being your only real gripe with the case I was hoping this knowledge would make you happy. Happy Holidays!

    I have the Corsair 4000D Airflow in white and it’s an awesome case ! It’s just that there is not that much room if you keep that HDD cage, but it’s ok if you don’t use a 360mm rad

    I was into the Modular Idea.... until some years later, I'm still using the same setup after various component upgrades, Modular doesnt seem to be much. Unless you frequently change your setup / components (drastically I might add, like ITX to MATX, for eg), just use the case that you like and not worry for like future upgrades or expansions....

    The NR200/NR200P also has some nice customization support through some accessories you can have 3D printed like ATX power supply mounts, different feet, and a complete 3D model of the top panel so you can make up your own. All files given out freely to anyone who wants to print them by Cooler Master themselves.

    Thank you this video was so helpful. That NZXT site at the start came in handy because I've been looking for a site like that. Also, you helped me find a PC case I actually like. None of the ones I've looked at really caught my eye until I saw that Corsair 4000D case. Exactly what I've been looking for, will definitely be picking up the one with the RGB's.

    I really wanted the Lancool 2 mesh but I went P500A on my next build for radiator room up top. I currently have a PB 500DX which is also great, although a little small in the ceiling for room.

    Looks so much better than my old NZXT s340 and the fans it comes with are quieter too!
    Edit: I can absolutely recommend it to anyone!

    The hard drive cage in the Lian Li Lancool II IS removable. I removed mine. You just have to take it out the front of the case after removing the fan/radiator bracket. It will come right out.
