Have you noticed an unpleasant smell when you run the air conditioning? Your blower motor may have kicked the bucket. Replacing it is no large task, as Mike Rivera demonstrates on our project CLK500.
We also recommend replacing the cabin air filters while replacing the blower motor, since debris from the motor can adhere themselves to the cabin air filters.

This is a great video - my CLK500 is making those noises and I was panicking about taking it to a dealer. This is a simple DYI job. Cheers Guys!
Thanks, really helpful and technically clear / understandable video
Mines(06 CLK 500)just went out too and I was going crazy 🤣Thanks bro u truly know your stuff and it's a blessing you're sharing this with us🙏
Great job!! Nice work mate!
Really helpful and well presented item. It is good to see the job actually being done AND the replacement as well, which so many leave out. Thank you great item.
You're welcome, Red. Glad you found it helpful!
Also, do you have a DIY on how to fix the drivers side electrical options on a similar vehicle? I checked your playlist on DIY for my yr/make/model but didn’t see anything.
Hey there I have a 2008 clk350 and it seems to be only blowing hot or cold on the drivers side feet and nowhere else. I think maybe it's the blend door actuator but it doesn't make any noise so im not sure
Thank you -very useful and informative and you give a diagnosis that is NOT available elsewhere: BUT you move very quickly and it is a little like a magician performing a trick it not always possible to see exactly how you have done or undone something.
We'll have Kyle go a little slower next time!
I have a 2006 CLK 350 that blows air but no heat is coming out. The A/C worked so I am wondering how to diagnose and fix the heat source while DIY. Are you able to provide any advice or information on the matter?
Literally what I was looking for , don’t have a Chripining noise but definitely a bad snell
Thanks for the great video, possible to add the part numbers in the description?
What if ac works for a couple minutes but then stops blowing air for like 3 mins and then ac works again ? What can it be ?
Hello Daniel, it's possible this could be the blower motor resistor.
What if ac isn’t coming out any of the vents new compressor
All it is blower motor and the type of vet you got
Not sure we're understanding the question? let us know what we can help with
