Is that really Flea on bass? I recognized him but it seemed to me he speaks British like. Maybe because of the echo. I googled the group then. It's amazing!
Odd, I was expecting a live version to be a bit more freeflowing than its album equivalent, but this one sounds in contrast much more robotic and pared-down. Still a great song and still a nice listen.
@@winkmurder that's cool, any reasoning? There are multiple variations in the pre-burst rhythm pattern in the studio cut that are ignored here, is probably the most obvious difference. Where are those little accents, why are they gone? Doesn't seem accidental, seems like a deliberate choice. Would be very easy for a drummer to replicate them, even expand on their variation - instead it's completely unvaried. Hence robotic. The post-burst rhythm pattern varies noticeably less than the studio version does too. All in all the drums seem a lot more copy-paste repeated HERE than they do in the original which is what seemed strange to me since you expect that to naturally be the other way around whenever it's a thing at all. All the weird sounds are missing, hence me saying pared-down. What is added here? I don't see anything that's been added. Where are those lovely bassline variations? After the descending scale, those high notes. If I'm remembering correctly from back when I watched this, they're gone too. Also do you disagree with it being a great song and a nice listen? I'm imagining that was the bit you did agree with, probably, but absent any clarification I'm gonna ask.
Wow he got so emotional singing towards the end… amazing performance
the meaning of music is to express what the listener does not dare to express
This is true in so many ways.

Lovely💚
Excellent comment, very true. That is why we send songs to each other, I believe.
Is this lovely? I was wondering if it was by an AI. Seems only obliquely related to the video.
I cant explain how much this song hits my soul. Especially the interlude. This cover does the song justice. Beautiful.
"Cover".
@@mxnkeyspankyeah, the original was from UNKLE, with the old man himself
@@MercuryEV I know, but Thom York wrote the song for UNKLE, so calling it a cover is a bit much.
@@mxnkeyspank fair enough, let’s just call it version

Thom Yorke nous offre une immersion sonore à nulle autre pareille, comme l'immersion visuelle du clip de Unkle avec Denis Lavant.

I might just listen a few more times haha😂
