Omg....she's just so awesome....this song is so heart felt...my true love has passed but this song touches my feelings I had for him in a lot of ways...I some how feel closer..💓
I l love to hear her sing this. First saw a british singer sing this on BGT and Simon cried. Then saw she Merim Morris, Brandi Caarwile and another gal on Ellen talking about starting a group The Highway Women. She said she didn't have an agent and I came to her site. OMG is she a song writer, and then played this and fell in love.
On a tangent Fr Kate Hudson’s post of “rainbow” fell in love with “morning person” lyrics and now I find her rendition song of a beautiful song. Executed perfectly!! 👏👏
Wish they could put this one and the larger version which shows the crowd going nuts and hugs from fellow writers. But this one tells the story of the song better. The audio is better on this version.
Some dude sang this on the X-Factor UK a few days after Simon Cowell's mother passed away. The singer dedicated it to his recently deceased best friend. So, with that context, Simon had to leave the set and couldn't talk to anybody, obviously having related it to his mom.
Okay Great Singer but just like Joe Cocker...you just shouldnt watch her sing...those pointy finger indicating the scales and notes she was striving to sing and the last time the ay ay ay abrupt modulation down the scale like that was the song ooo ee oo ah ah ting tang walla walla bing bang...not the song for a bee bop or levity light pop song boy band do whop or pop rock dance cut..this is a gut wrenching from the soul anguish sorrow and come to Jesus...not a song about clubbing or having a crush or having a bad day so you are going out drinking with the girls or hand clapping audience sing along. There is no room for improvisations that have not been agreed upon by the entire band and some real friends who arent yes men btw yes men are not friends but remoras.
Hmmm. She has writing credit on this song. She can sing it however she wants. Your opinion on how she emotes while singing her own damn song matters not. Jealous?
The Highwomen brought me here, too. But why does Natalie have to make a point of saying Timothy (I'd swear she says 'Tony') is Black? It's the kind of unconscious racism that still wounds.
She is the great musician I love ❤😘 very beautiful song
Natalie is an American treasure, her songs and voice are truly timeless...!
I have spent almost all afternoon listening to covers of this song, she does the best and gives me chills. She should record by herself.
Was there for this.. the most showstopping moment of any C2C and CMA songwriters nights.. i love this SOOOOO much!

I gotta go to Nashville to see her and Highwomen after this pandemic. Amazing performance.
Saw her live tonight in Cincinnati, AMAZING performance!!!

Love her and her rich voice. She should reccored an album. Been listening since the Highway women on Ellen.
Her album Puxico is amazing!

I just watched that, the gal with Simon had to do all the talking and had to hug the singer.
