Oh Brandi, madly humble and in love with her craft. This band is incredible, the best live performance you'll ever see, and if you're like me, you'll return to be blessed by their talent over and over.
I can see why brandi and the band won a grammy. The strings are a nice addition and the twins and brandi guitar work goes without saying.
just discoved this lady, love it!
I knew this would be amazing before I listened to it. This girl could sing a phone book and it would be amazing...
I was at this performance
@@bartvattieri7598 Wow, lucky you!
One my fav songs of ALL time, I was apprehensive, but she certainly did it more than justice
...she made it her own
@@dawnd5761 Oh, that she did...
"Singing a phone book" is so tired as an expression it should be banned.
I don't swear much , but that was f---ing brilliant!
I swear heaps, & that was still fucken brilliant!
Every once in awhile a brilliant performance catches your attention on the web! There just isn’t that much by way of good music being made today.......boy this was a breath of fresh air! Bravo!
Agreed! 😍 Amazing skill, depth, control and arrangement. Breathtaking!
Brandi has an untamed vibrato that drives me insane.
Wow. Did I mention "Wow?"
That lady has massive talent.
She felt deep for this song.Grreeaatt!!!!
You have to be insane to even dare try this song live. Brandi Carlile nails it.
Brandi is fearless. 😎
Holy crap that string section is great.
Just discovered this today. Now wish she performed this with Elton at Dodger Stadium rather than Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me.
I agree.
Absolutely brilliant. Never seen an artist honor the original so well while also placing their own stamp on it.
Bloody hell what a drummer! Amazing cover.
There are several Elton John tunes that are very hard to do correctly - this is one of them. Hats off to some fine work by this group.
Agreed-this is in top 10 hard to cover. Let someone have a crack at a cover of Long Live the king lol
yeah i have not heard a better version. other then Elton
Kit Levey this group? It’s Brandi FUCKING Carlile! 🤣
BLOWN AWAY!!!!! What was it I just heard? An incredible masterpiece. I’m sure Elton John was impressed. To say the least. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
That was the best version of that song I’ve ever heard, fantastic
Masterclass !!!
In sitting in my chair crying. The emotion in her voice, got me.
I came across this by accident, what a great version.
Fabulous!!!
Frickin tight band!
Brilliant performance of this bAdAss tune! Yea, girl!
Holy shit! That was amazing!
So so so damn good
How many times can I like this?
I caught her Austin City Limits show by accident a little while ago and they did this, one of my favourite Elton John songs, and I was completely blown away. The entire concert was amazing and I became a fan.
The Cello player just nails it. Really good cover of one the greatest songs ever written.
Wow Super WOW. Hard to say a cover is better than the original, but Sir Elton may just say that because Brandi takes his iconic song to a new level.
