I did helicopter traffic in Cincinnati for a few years and it's amazing to me James Haley kept his breakfast down doing real 3D. Congrats! Met James at a lot of the fun flies, will have to ask him about this flight at IRCHA since I didn't see this video prior to XFC.

I have been flying 36 years and I have 6000+ hours (Military, Hueys, Blackhawks, retired and moved into EMS with Bell 206, 407GS and tried my hat at an AS 350B3 (the AS suxX, I hate the AS350). Chuck has over 20,000 hours, grrz thats crazy. I like my family time too much. Awesome video. ThankX
You know you're in good hands when your PIC has a moustache like that... ;) that's excellent airmanship right here... I'm a fixed wing pilot but just look at his smooth minor inputs to the aircrafts controls... this guy makes it look easy...
What the Blade guy, James Haley, can do with a RC helicopter would make the uninitiated full size helicopter pilot's jaw drop to the pavement. James Haley has exponentially greater piloting skills with a RC heli, then any full scale pilot flying with the full size real deal. Chuck Aaron himself would not challenge this point. Too bad that this fact was not demonstrated clearly in this video. This video is about Chuck Aaron sharing a ride in the modified MBB BO-105 with James Haley.
I am going to meet him at republic airport tomorrow and have him sign my blade red bull heli. He was great at the Jones Beach airshow today! I'm so lucky to have a daughter as a pilot with connections and I plan on seeing his show again tomorrow, Hats off to ya Malibu! He has over 20,000 hours in flying and pray he has another 20,000 to go........ Amazing guy!
I've seen Chuck a number of times at Oshkosh. Amazing what he does with that 105. Chuck kind'a reminds me of Jimmy Buffet in this video. The "stash", drink in his hand, the shorts and flip flops. Buffet does actually fly but I think fixed wing only.
+roger farmer I am no expert by I think they are pendulum vibration dampers used on rigid hingeless heads but I am not sure and actually I'd like to listen the answer of somebody who actually worked on a BBO bo105 and...stalling what? The retreating blade at the exit of the loop or the roll? I guess that's part of being him and the reason why not many others can actually perform these manouvers.

At 3:51 the guy is not clean shaven and has brown pants on then suddenly at 3:59, he is clean shaven and has different shorts on, how the hell did he shave and change his shorts in the air. LOL Did he crap himself and they had to go get new shorts for him and told him to shave?. LOL
So, Red Bull bought a BO105 and found a better than average pilot. Zimmerman > Aaron! BO 105 best chopper to be made, Aaron, decent pilot. Make him do his stuff in a Bell heli and he is great (dead) :D
