@@PremierRealtyGroupWestTN I have a giant pelican case (too large to fit on an airplane overhead storage) that I typically keep things in, but haven't picked up a dedicated pelican or hard case for this yet. I think I'll have a video on this in the future though!
Have you tested any underwater accessories for the Pocket 2? I would be interested in your review of those types of cases. Living in Florida with a lot of water activities make this a must for my Pocket 2! Very informative video. I’ve upgraded from the Osmo Pocket to the Pocket 2, so I am always interested in any reviews and tips.
@@daves517 I havent used any underwater cases for the pocket 2, I've been meaning to pick one up so I might be using one this summer! If I do, I'll make another video about it. Thanks for watching!
Hei Keith ! It is there any way to connect the pocket 2 to a external screen not mobile or tablet. With a type-c to hdmy for example directly in to the do-it-all handle and still use the phone or tablet as wireless remote ?
Thanks for the info!! I'm looking at buying a Pocket 2 to be my main vlog camera, instead of an Osmo Action... as well as all the accessories to make it work!!! Thanks again and now I'm subscribed!
Nice video!. Also, I would like to leave a suggestion. Your lighting is good but the backgroung is creating banding effect on youtube. Even on 4k. Maybe try to create a different angle maybe?
I noticed that! I’ve fixed that in my latest videos by not shooting against a backdrop - or really paying attention to the lighting when I do. Thanks for the feedback
Screen and lens covers; a clamp made by SmallRig which fits any telescopic rod/extender. A phone clamp mounted to this enables you to see what the camera is seeing when you are doing a crane shot for example. Re phones, not all of us have the latest phone which DJI often requires. Moreover, a phone display on a sunny day is...poor. I use Samsung S5e tablet which has excellent glare reduction for P2 & Mini 2 drone. Wow. For P2, there are tablet holders with tripod port, to which P2 can be mounted, with cable if ho handle, without cable is Handle is on. Yes there is added bulk but you can see and control everything much better. Love that big screen.
Hey Rajaa, I've been using the Freewell filters and havent had any big issues with them. I typically only use this camera when I travel. I've been using this without any additional stabilization. Thanks for watching!
Hello, are you sure the pgytech holder works for pocket 2? I been reading reviews and people say it has trouble holding pocket 2 but pocket 1 is fine. Any opinion or help etc? All the best.
Instead of a typical power bank that you mentioned, the Ulanzi BG-2 is a better option because you can attach it to the bottom of the Pocket 2 wireless mic module tripod thread. I just wish there was an easier way to attach an LED light and external mic to the camera without obstructing the handling operation.
My 5 cents: I have been using the 128GB SanDisk Extreme SD-Card in my Mavic Air 2, but there were glitches while filming at 4K (always format the card before shooting, btw). So with the new Pocket 2, I decided to buy the 128GB Lexar SD-Card, which is a lot snappier than SanDisk. Huge difference!
You can use two wireless microphones with the P2 and if possible, which ones do you recommend. I plan to record and usually it is two people with a microphone that I will record.
I'm not aware of any way to use multiple microphones with the P2. It seems like you're going to need to have a separate dedicated audio recorder with multiple inputs for recording multiple people on different channels
I'm not aware of any cases that protect the gimbal while in use, but the scotty makes stuff cases are pretty durable. The case that comes with the camera is nice for on-the-go or minimal protection. I've dropped my Pocket 2 on the gimbal (check out my insta360 one x2 vs pocket 2 video, about 75% of the way through my Pocket 2 drops from a railing directly onto the gimbal - it's been fine *knock on wood). Since the camera can rotate, I'm not sure it's possible to have a case the 100% protects the gimbal while in use. If you find one let me know! Thanks for watching and the great question
I know this video is older but the small tree charging handle is a better option over the charging case. I get a whole days worth of charge and some with it. Otherwise I have all the same stuff you do lol. Good video bud.
Quite an informative video on the accessories, well done! I’ve been following you for a while on youtube & instagram as I mainly use your Air 2 LUTs (which are brilliant) I’d also like to add that ND Filters are my favorite accessory or the most important as it’s one of the tools to separate great footage from good/mediocre footage & I use them even when i film in HDR with the Air 2! I think i’d go for the slim do-it-all case to take less space as I prefer to carry only what’s needed PS nice t-shirt & greetings from Hamilton Canada! Looking forward to more ‘aerial guides’ from you!
Congrats, Drone F8! You've won the slim do it all case! Thanks for the kind words, man! Glad the LUTs are working out and you're enjoying them! DM me on Instagram with your address!
Good recommendation on the Pocket 2 accessories. In my opinion the best accessories will be the scotty case for the do it all handle. Cant find other good case out there Well done 👍
It's a really unique case, thats for sure! I'm surprised more companies haven't made cases like that for the camera honestly. He made a great design. Thanks for watching
I think this video would be better if you have shots using the accessories so we could see what impact does it make. Like the filters and mic. I mean what am I buying, you say it's good accessories but what difference does it make?
I was hoping you would cover the controller wheel, as I was looking online to potentially purchase. Thoughts, or maybe it was covered in earlier videos?
I have the controller wheel and I haven't used it much. I find myself moving the camera in follow mode if I need to tilt or pan the camera, or use the on screen controls (which are MUCH harder to use than the controlloer wheel) but I find myself tilting the camera very little when out actually filming that I leave the wheel at home. If you tilt the camera a lot and need the features it provides, use it by all means. But it's just not something I use very often. Thanks for watching
@Keith Knittel Thank you for your prompt response. Honestly, I probably should have waited to familiarize myself with the camera before I ordered the controller wheel. Essentially it's useless once I learned and became used to the existing controls set up. I'm one of those who try it first - read the manual later, guys- hence the $39.00 accessory that will find it's way to the back of a drawer with countless other items. I enjoy the channel and how you present information professionally and concisely.
The do-it-all handle is great, I just wish that the features were baked into the camera where you didn't need the handle to begin with, but I understand to keep costs lower overall some compromises had to be made (I'm assuming thats the reason). Thanks for watching
I bought rode videomic go but i get a glinch in my audio. I tested my mic on other devices, it was working perfectly. Then I bought a 3.5mm trs to trrs cable and this time camera was not recording any audio.
Great review you did here. I was debating whether or not to get the extension handle but you convinced me 😉. I would LOVE to win the bulky handle for the standard pocket 2. I'm really in need of one for protection during my cycling vlogs. 🤞

I liked the video. Those tripods suck by the way but that is fine. Also, I wish you explained how you used those lights at a sample set up. Anyways, thanks...
Hey there, M A, Those tripods have their place, for their price point I decided to include them since they do work with the P2 or small action cameras, but not intended for larger systems (like the manufacturers advertise, wouldn't suggest them for mirrorless/dslr cameras) Thanks for the feedback about the light and will keep that in mind for future videos! Thanks for watching
Congrats, Aldy! You've won the large, regular camera case! Thank you for entering and DM me your address on Instagram and I'll send out your case to you! Thanks again and congrats!
Lol, I was searching for some accessories for my Osmo Pocket and this video came up! Thanks, Keith! (The 1. case would be good if I win one but oh man I don't use Instagram 🤔)
For me, it comes down to ease of use. Always having a charged camera while traveling, along with a case for my ND filters and SD cards makes it a pretty attractive package. It's totally not for everyone, but if you travel a lot and want a minimalist kit - it's a great case (and I think it looks great too!). That being said, I still keep power banks around if I'm adding this camera to my larger kit and just need a timelapse/motionlapse camera or a b cam. Just depends on the shoot and how I'm using the camera. Thanks for watching.
Keith, while it is nice to get your take on the accessories, I find this kind of videos strenuous to watch until the end. The constant flow of words, e.g. "the talking head" video gets in the way of the information. With the plethora of videos available on the same topics, I always favor the videos that provide examples. You may have edited your video to show how you used all the accessories in situ. It helps to make the video a little more lively. I am not saying the actual list is not useful, but watching you speaking gets long in the tooth...
Thank you for the feedback. I understand where you're coming from, and I do my best to include some kind of close up shots for better reference - but I only have so much time to record these videos so sometimes I don't have time to record each accessory in use. Something I'm working on getting better with, and I really appreciate your feedback. Thanks for watching and your feedback
I think if you would put it at the end of let's say a 2m long pole, and you hold it way up, then your total hight would be more than 4m. It would probably look quite drone like already. I'm pretty sure I've seen it already in a few videos on youtube.
