Phil McKnight installed a wrench holder on the back of the headstock. He had to drill the holes. The saw dust was dark colored ….. roasted.

@@LOOSEbowelz In regards to Phil testing to see if the neck is roasted maple or just a finish. He had to drill holes to mount the Allen wrench holder so he was able to tell the wood was roasted, not just stained. The dust was dark colored. If the neck was just stained the dust would have been light colored.
Please just attach magnet to tuner and apply Allen key to magnet. Perfect. (Not rare earth magnets please.)
Would love for SBS to make these exact ones but with Hipshot/Hardtails

That's a very awesome guitar and everything I like. Especially with a Floyd ! I started on Floyd's in 1989. But I'd prefer Blue , Red, or Black. Yellow is just too much !

Just for fun, I decided to see if Sears was selling guitars. OMG! You want a laugh? Check the prices of what they offer. Better yet, read the description they put in the pictures. My favorite is the "Cross Body Bridge" and the fact that they detail the pickups on the picture of the headstock. lol

The showroom series 2nd version with the good paint and frets is 259.00 plus shipping = 284.00. Just got mine today and it kicks ass !! I got the Battleship gray with reverse headstock .I am very happy with it !! Good guitar !! GOETH FOR IT !! Under 400.00 ? It's under 300.00 !!!

I clicked your link to the SBS guitars, and even there they are kinda vague on which trem system they're using. They all just say Floyd Rose Branded.
When I got my Jackson, I made sure it had the FR-1000, and not the FR Special. But I guess the vaguely branded one should do fine for the price.

Love the video guys.. also Mr.Bald Shredder..can you tell me what that guitar on the floor guitar rack to the right of your custom IYV with the reverse headstock is ? It looks like it has a Translucent AMBER finish over flamed Maple top..has a Maple neck and fretboard and regular style non-locking nut.
Custom build from about 16 years ago. Based on Charvel designs. Dinky body, neck from Musikraft, Seymour Duncan pickups. One of my all time best.
It does have the Charvel look to it..2 months ago I was going to buy 1 of the newer Charvels..24 fret maple fretboard..SD pickups and the Floyd 1000 but chose the newer Jackson Pro + series DKA Dinky and super happy with it but I want that Charvel because I love that Trans Amber finish with Maple fretboard..@@thebaldshredder

I’ve had three bad experiences with Guitar fetish the first set of pick ups and switches and stuff I bought for an SG the three-way switch did not work so I ordered another set of switches and they did not work so I put the humpback from the bridge and two single coils with switches that I bought from them in hss Strat and I brought three sets of switches just in case so far it’s working

If only they made one without a FR. But the bigger frets are awesome. A lot of the cheaper guitars just have fake wood fingerboard with paper thin frets.

I bought one of the "sbs" guitars, what a piece of junk, it looks good with the features but the wood is no good tone wood. Remember folks these guys are all using "plug ins" which ANYTHING sounds good. Play it it through a real amp mine ( 5150) and upgraded the term and pickups ,still no sustain piece of junk. Just buy something decent and you won't waste your money. Not hating but truly let down. Peace.
The wood has nothing to do with it. So get a better amp and pedals and you will get the tone you are looking for
