I have their acoustic. SOB is always in tune no matter what. It’s amazing.
Their stuff is high quality.
It is a Les Paul with a better upper frets access, truss rod adjustment and stronger headstock design than a Gibson. And it comes with a speaker lol
Great review, thank you! I've ordered mine, and it should arrive tomorrow. I've heard the action is high, and another reviewer said the bridge can be adjusted. If it can't, as I believe you, I'll probably be returning it.
Normally new tech does not really do it for me, but I can see myself having one of these and just jamming in the backyard or on the couch watching something on TV. It certainly is far better then those gimmick guitar with built in speakers that sounded awful. I remember long ago even Walmart carried those. I think they were Yamaha brand too.
Even though it's carbon fiber it looks like it has a truss rod adjustment. Check the releif, if youv'e got releif you can tighten the truss rod and straighten the neck to try to bring the strigs closer to the fretboard. That's what I do for any set neck guitar where the bridge is already slammed to the body. It's worth a shot anyway. Nice review by the way. \m/
Thanks. Yeah I checked it. The neck is perfectly straight so adjusting the truss rod wouldn't help unfortunately.
Listen sir I didn't know you were the same guy that released that album Reflections I still have it in my hand right here
That's me! Thanks
@@thebaldshredder I've been listening to your channel until I seen your interview on guitar Max and I seen that old picture of you oh wait I have that CD lost my hair in 88th when I got out of the service lol 😂
Great video! I already bought one and I really like it for a guitar I can take with me anywhere without having an amp but it also sounds really good plugged into my amp and effects.
Well, Richard... I was putting this guitar down, but I have to admit, it is pretty good, in fact, great for anyone wanting a travel ready guitar to play at the hotel, or even use it as a backup guitar!
Wow Richard this is another awesome guitar review I love it. Shred on dude.😃👍❤️🔥⚡️🎶🎸
Just happened upon your channel this week. I love carbon fiber instruments so I’m definitely getting this one. You do good work Mr. Shredder. 👍
Awesome! Thank you!
Hey I watched you with Max. Great story, great show! I just got done telling him how much I enjoyed it. I’m positive that your experiences were super helpful to a lot of guys. Thanks for doing it. Keep up the good work. I was telling Max how I’ve recently started using what I’m learning from you two, and guys like you, to buy those four guitars I told you about. Thanks again, man. You guys make our lives better by teaching us some of what you know. So thanks for that. Take care.
🤘
Oh, I like that... 😁
Nice step outside the box, boss! Thanks for the really informative review. I feel almost qualified to render an opinion. That 1/4 out really saved the guitar on a lot of levels. Another nice jam, boss. I don’t know if I ever told you how much I like you clean picking too. Anyway, thanks for another winner video!
I like how it's becoming more commonplace to get a suite of effects on inexpensive gear. Oh, gotta go, I heard Guitar Max has a cool guest on today. 🙂
I gotta pick one up for practicing around the house. Great review. Just sub'd btw
I have one on the way for review also. I'm very curious. I love the concept. Now we can compare action between the two.
Thanks for the awesome review brother!
Can't wait to see it
Replicates that Guitar Center tone perfectly.
Great Review Shredder! 💥💥💥
I am REALLY digging this guitar! It sounds good and is killer sharp looking. The versatility is just too cool for school!🤘
💥😱💥😱💥😱💥😱💥😱💥
I have to admit, I wanted this thing to totally suck so I could hate it without guilt but evidently it plays pretty well and through the L6 Pod software with gain it actually didn't sound bad. And it looks way, way better than their acoustics. I feel like somehow this is more a product of marketing types instead of musicians, but whatever, they've apparently done a pretty good job with this. At $399 though, I'm not exactly sure who they're marketing it toward. Honestly, not me.
This is in line with my vision on the evolution of the Electric Guitar. We have a big slab of wood with 2/3rds of the real estate mostly un-used. I expect builders to start putting more tech on board and for basic pedal functions to eventually find a home on the guitar so we would have fuzz/looper/distortion/reverb immediately accessible with a hand. Product evolution in a free market is pretty weird so...enter Enya. Hold onto your butts and lets see what sticks:)
I agree!
Cute Rig there. Could go street jammin with it. Thanks RJ
that would be cool for my daughter to have to trying to get her into instruments..can just pick it up at any time no need to get out an amp or anything..can take it back and forth to moms house..
Great show, yes I didn’t want to like this but it’s pretty cool.
Good for traveling! 🖖🤘😊
I'm very impressed with this guitar. I saw Steve from Boston's review of it and now yours and this would make a great practice guitar to have around if you don't have access to your amp or processor. It's also cool looking in this color and white and looks like you could even play it out live with all it has to offer. Great time to be alive and playing guitar! God bless and rock on 🎸👍😎
Great video!!!!
Great video and your enthusiasm here made me sub. (Also, earlier I watched the video with you and Guitar Max....both great shredders)
Just checked and Amazon has this with a $50 coupon right now. So, it's $376.26 with tax (I'm in New York State) and the coupon.
TEMPTING!!! but I like to set the action low so maybe not this one for me. Besides I just picked up a brand-new Gibson Les Paul Studio....Wine Red... at the House of Guitars in Rochester NY today. Will be setting that up this week and playing amap!!!
Thanks for another good vid/review!!
I love your channel as a guitarist starting at 13 ( turning 60 in a couple days) what age did you start( playing & how long have you been playing) Just joking was playfully trying to get you to reveal your age .Due to not being able to play for near 10 years due to severe non stop cracking ( and open cuts)of my fingertips , suddenly in 2021 it stopped, finding your channel has gave me hope to restart my Shred Journey.(apologize for the long comment. Keep Up The AWESOMENESS
My age isn't a secret. I'm 52. Started playing when I was 11. You're never too old to play. And never give up!
I like it overall. Lots of electronica happening. Could be fun.
Sounds respectable. Looks like it would be a killer practice guitar as it’s just so easy to pick up and start getting some real sounds out of it and great for getting down inspiration the moment that it comes to you. Especially since we all have our phones on us, this is like, boom! and you’re playing without much fuss of setup or firing up your whole normal guitar setup. Wish it were $100 less expensive though and hope they add a few more effect types to it. Will still likely pick this up very soon nevertheless. Excellent review!! Thanks Richard!!! 👊🏻
Nicely done. I like the balance with the pros and cons. The guitar seems to be a novelty from the standpoint of what niche it would occupy especially at the price point.
I want one of these, only thing I am not a huge fan of is the speaker grill on the front. I get why it is there but I don’t need that feature, personally speaking
Subscribed per guitar Max!
Thanks
I remember getting one like this at toys r us back in the 1990s. But only one tone. It’s amazing how technology is advancing.
Where's the technology to restore my hair (without plugs)???
@@thebaldshredder I know where you can learn this power, but, not from a Jedi.
From a fortune cookie?
I almost heard a little Tesla in there. ❤
Cool idea, but nothing like plugging ur guitar made solid wood into a real amp with a distortion pedal or pedals! Thanx man for the video!
Pretty cool guitar man! Also, the name Enya made me think of the singer Enya LOL
Yes to both!
wow
Reminds me of my very first guitar I got for Christmas in 1987. My mom bought it from Toys r Us and it had a built in speaker. It was terrible lol. I nicknamed it the tinker toy. The action was a mile high and it played and sounded awful. It did sound a little better plugged into a regular amp but not much. Anyway it's interesting to see how technology has improved over the last 40 years. That Enya despite its shortcomings is a huge improvement. Pretty cool for a beginner 👍
Take the bridge off and file down the mount ends or find a low profile bridge.
Does it have any neck dive?
Deep Up ' Enya '
Smooth up enya
Sweet Bullet Boys reference!
😄
@@scottcummings8602 thank you! I thought of it while I was watching and I was like I have to comment this
the neck looks pretty chunky, how thick is it?
I would be interested in looking at the insides and seeing how repairable/disposable it is.
I think that it sounds pretty good I kinda like it 😏 😌
I bought a new glossy lightning style strat style guitar with whammy bar only $59 on ebay
Sounds good! Did you have to intonate?Couse if you didn't it's great out of the box. Sounds in tune to me. It sounds like a grab and go gear that works.
I did not have to intonate.
Wow! I'm impressed!
Everything but the high gain sounds pretty decent. I guess there's no truss rod adjustment either? Oh question was there like a thing where you can put on jam tracks kind of like a Spark?
You know back when I was a teenager in the late '70s and early '80s I had went in a pawn shop and bought a teasco del Rey that have built-in amplifier and speaker well the amp and the speaker was missing from it I got it for about 45 bucks action was absolutely horrible really wish I hadn't got rid of that guitar it'd be nice if I still had it and know what I know now about working on guitars but I took a radio shack battery powered amplifier and put in it and mounted a Boss DS-1 on the body! And I put inputs and outputs so I can plug whatever pedal I wanted to but it was kind of cool I guess for the novelty of it
When it comes to solid body guitars, tone wood isn’t a thing. This has been proven over and over again
Is this basically a MOOER GTRS S800 or W800? Can you or will you do a head to head the GTRS W900 and this ENYA ? Please good sir 😊
DOES IT WORK (USB C OUT/AUDIO INTERFACE) with an IPAD?? the acoustic/electric never did (unless the fixed it)
I don't know. I don't have an iPad.
👍
Pull/push
Is this a les Paul size guitar?
yes
Way better through line6
Why do all their guitars have a zero fret?
Why don't most guitars have it?
@@Vadim_Andr. Because it's unnecessary.
@@christopheraaron8299 For me, guitars with a zero fret are much better. It is much more durable to use and does not require cut a sill for each string separately.
Doesnt matter what the body is made of. Tone doesnt come from it. Ive seen alumininum guitars, guitars made from 1000s of picks, guitars made from colored pencils and even one made from leaves.
Guess what? They all sounded great.
Know why? Tone somes from pick ups and amps not material. Its been debunked way too many times.
The problem with most guitarists is they listen with their wallets and eyes not ears
First! Mommy, look I'm first!!!!!!
Here ya go junior 🍪 😂
🥇
isn't this how anikin converted to the dark side? WOW ....RICHARD MOOD LIGHTING? STILL KILLER, but i'm stayin on the Rebel Scum side of guitar.....but i think you can be saved you still have GOOD in you I can sense it, come back to the old school way of playing..you can still rule utube with your subscribers...once you go this route foever will it dominate your U TUBE DESTINY😂LMAO..
He will bring peace, freedom, justice and security to HIS new Empire!
Wait, I lost my light saber!
Is ok but not for me thank you 🙏 😊
Knew it
seems overpriced to me. especially with the high action.
Being a 65 year old fart, I kinda wanted to hate it, but it has promise.
Sounds good for beginners... But LOL Not My Speed... Yeah Guitar marketed to beginners that want to over spend... Carbon Fiber Violins are actually HEAVY NO GOOD SOUNDS. The carbon Fiber Bows are good not as good as a Pernambuco bow but better than a lot of other woods used considered 2nd best for violins. Carbon fiber is fine with electric violins .. but TONE WOOD actually matters with violins since 2 tiny F holes & 2 small sound post. The Top is extremely thin wood typically spruce.. With electric The pickup is where the sound comes from.. Same as electric guitar.. With a dreadnought guitar you have a versatile guitar & the tone wood is important but not as important - as say a parlor guitar which is smaller & really has to have great TONE WOODS ... Acoustical Electrical, & Tone woods dip in importance.. & with Electrical Guitars with an oscillator scope Leo Fender Found No Real Difference in wood Choices for Electric Guitars.. Several studies recently agreed with this & actually poplar wood had the best tone for electric guitar bodies... & it was not enough except for a computer to see it... Cheers 🍻🥃🥃🎸🎼🎵🎶🎶🎶
Sounds like it probably plays, weak link is the amp, effects and speaker
But I can tell it’s a struggle playing it, how’s that action?
10w amps are awful, I hate them.
Quite a lot of buzzing though. Anyway, nothing new, 10 years ago I had a Ferndandez doing exactly the same things (telephone app apart), and even more. The unadjustable action itself for me is a no-no.
action is absolutely adjustable!
It doesn't sound to good, I think I would rather have wood, I've heard several reviews with these carbon guitars, they all sound like a plastic guitar, there is only one built-in amp guitar I like, it's a fender made in Japan, now that guitar sounds great.
but you don't need to play this guitar with a built-in amp!
HORRIBLE MULTIEFFECTS SOUND AND EXTREME FEEDBACK ISSUES WHEN USING ANY DISTORTION, GREAT BODY/NECK THOUGH, 10 WATTS MY ASS, 1/2 WATT RMS! I'M RETURNING IT BECAUSE SOUND SUCKS
I guess you've never owned an electric guitar.
Id rather play through my half stack...if my pants aren't flapping im not playing....
Hard Pass
Let me say it, it’s gimmicky junk
like you
