- Hello Automobile enthusiasts, In this video I have explained about the 2Valve, 3Valve and 4Valve Engines being used in two-wheelers.
auto makers like Bajaj and TVS has really coming up with bikes equipped with 3 Valve and 4 valve engines. so it is worth knowing what these are and how do they make difference with extra no. of valves!

bro,but 4valves makes the engine hotter?or prone to overheating??
It is not necessary that 4valves make engine hotter but in some bikes it happens as 4Valves are generally used to extract more performance from the engine.
Can we install four valve head in 2v xpulse??
No...It's not like just replacing the valve head n it's done!! ....It will require to do some other changes/mods in Crankshaft, fuel timing etc!
Sir, i want to know if no. of valves increase then fuel avg. will increase or decrease. You can check with Apache rtr 2v & 4v. Can anybody explain me.

So, technically 4 valve engines are considered better than 2 valve engines in all aspects!
And Yes 4Valve engine can give better mileage than that of 2Valve engine!
But It depends upon the tuning of the engines! If tuned properly, 2Valve engines are no less!!

No it's not true!
Having 3 or 4 valve in an engine doesn't affect it's mileage in comparison to a 2 valve engine!

if you need better top end power, 4Valve is better!
Rest 2Valve engines are less complex and cheaper that's why they are still preferred in most of the bikes under 160cc segment!
Sir my vespa is 3 valve engine but fuel consumption is very poor I am getting mileage for my vespa 125 cc only 25 to 29 kmpl in city and highway conditions..
Valve doesn't reduce the mileage... You should contact your service center if it's unusual mileage!

The Intake valve is the valve(s)through which air-petrol mixture enter to the cylinder and through the exhaust valve(s) the smoke and gas goes out through silencer.
Most of the bikes have 2 valve configuration but 3 valve is also being used now a days and 4 valve configuration is given in high performance bikes/sports bikes! 👍
