Joe Pug did the harmonica on the whole album. He's a killer folk songwriter. The Killers took him out on tour way back and he and Brandon Flowers have been boys ever since
@@christophersegrave6331 yeah man. It's fantastic. Check out his weekly show here on UA-cam called Sunday Songs. He actually played Quiet Town a couple of weeks ago on it.
It stays within that range. So never going above 8 or lower than 4. As long as you have the right key for harmonica, it's very easy to follow a song. That's awesome! I hope you stick with it. Shockingly enough this new Killers albums has more than a few harmonica spots.
That would be correct because the song is in the key of Bb, and the harmonica they're using is also in Bb. Look up sets of harmonicas...they should sell the most popular keys where it will have C D E F G A and Bb.
@@luizzm I'm not a tab maker for harmonica, I don't think you need it. Don't try so hard to be 100% spot on. But you NEED a Bb harmonica. The one I have is the Blues Deluxe by Fender.... In this song, you'll be bending the notes a lot (literally shift the harmonica with your hands), especially when you're drawing. It seems he never goes below 5 or above 8. Play the song at lower speeds if you need to get it.
You mean I can't play it with my C model hohner, my uncle just offered me for Christmas or I can transpose your chords to my model? First time I ve an harmonica so it is like a mystery box for me
@@vanessaludovicclavaudferri7423 you can transpose it for yourself but when you play it with them, it will not sound right unless you find someway to edit them to be in the same key you are... C major is a great starting point. Most famously "Piano Man" is in C.
Alright guess I can't defend it any longer does sound a little flat, idk what happened here usually I tune it before everything I do but at least everything else is correct 👍
@@learnasongwithjon Sorry man 🤣 First off, I mean No disrespect by any kinds. It happens to all of us. I've literally found my stuff out of tune plenty of times . I can't find that acoustic video they posted on their socials anywhere. That take they posted originally was incredible. Then I heard the original studio version and I felt like it was such a better cut just raw acoustic with the harmonica. Keep going though brotha. 🤟
@@gabe688 Appreciate that good sir! I probably just wanted to be the first one to upload this and powered through super hard without noticing it lol. Hmmm was that when they went to Utah and did a few songs? I remember when they went to like the high school gym and then some guys backyard lol

Absolutely brilliant thank you.
Fair play for making tutorials already! Definitely having to subscribe
What key is your harmonica in?
He said B flat
@@Penaltybox66 ah thanks. I missed that
Nice rendition mate! The harmonica player is alt americana player Joe Pug
Thank you! I'm gonna check him out one of these days Haha

I beg to differ - but the chords are spot on.
