How much LASER POWER do you NEED? - Aufero Laser 1 Review

- The Ortur Laser Master 2 Pro is one of my favorite laser engravers, but it is quite expensive. The Aufero Laser 1 has the same motherboard and laser diode, but a smaller engraving area, and most importantly a smaller price tag. In this video I compare it to the LM2Pro and also compare the 3 available laser attachment options, so you can get the one that is the best for your application.

Our Laser 1 just arrived and I'm super excited to use it. It's my first experience with laser cutting so this video is super helpful! Thank you.
Thank you for this video! @7:14 I didn't know that all diode lasers have pretty much the same output power regardless of the wattage.
The thing is that the "20W", "30W",... does not say anything, they are pretty much made up numbers based on the power draw. The actual laser light that is output is only vaguely related and is mainly based on the diode used, which is mostly the same on the higher end models, just the cooling and driver board varies slightly between brands.
Thank you.
thx
150$ for the frame, board and the head? woah! i thought it was more expensive than that!
That's the cool thing about these laser engravers, there really is not much to them, to aluminum extrusions, two small steppers, a couple brackets and a cheap controller board. By far the most expensive is the laser diode, though thanks to mass popularity even they have come down in price a lot.
