So glad you put the eye protection on! Also, lower that orange shield down close to the material. It’s for protecting your eyes, not the laser head. You have it so far up the that there is no eye protection at all.
Nice video! Don't worry about the laser you chose! Real world tests show minimal actual differences in image quality between the short and long focus choices....and even the lower power ''detail laser''. You do have the added advantage of better cutout capability, however. You need to do a graph test on each new material you use. This will show you the best settings by calculating both intensity and speed. You can get great results with that laser on anything from slate to jeans. Also play around with the lines per inch settings, etc...you can get finer details digging into the software. Also I would recommend Light burn over lasergrbl.
@@LoKnows Do you know what the max mm limit is? I figured out the issue but from some reason it doesn't like to start out anywhere near the edges of the boundary 🤔

not sure if you are aware, but laser light can create "burn out spots" on cmos sensors. def, make sure you have a filter for your camera set up.
Thanks for the heads up!!!!

Can You engraving silver with this machine? Thank you
How thick does it cut?
You lifted the eye protection while it was running. You are risking burned spots in your retina!
