I am really enjoying watching you guys react to various artists. Yes, High Hopes will truly impress you with the musicality of the band. Emmpu will impress as will Marko with the singing. Keep going and I will keep watching. Thanks.
Congratulations. You have just scratched the surface of Nightwish 🙂 Lyrics are quite big part of Nightwish. Poetry of Tuomas. Every song is a story and has a meaning. Keep that in mind when checking out the biggest masterpieces.
Dark Chest of Wonders is a great opener of this same concert. Song of Myself is one of my top favorites along with Storytime. Ok so this whole concert is amazing.
I love this performance but I want to highlight a couple of things. The looks on the faces of the band is priceless. This is a stunning performance by Floor and they know it. The other thing is that I love the orchestration, especially the part with the French horns. Oh, and that really pretty girl in the audience just loving the whole show.
How unlucky for those who have not yet discovered the magic that is Nightwish. Hopefully performances like this amazing piece of musical art, and the continuing efforts of reactors like yourselves TJ and TG👍👍, many more will be made aware of the energy and joy this amazing band brings to so many.🤘🤘 Just an incredible adventure in songwriting and performance👍👍
On a desert island with just one recording of High Hopes to listen to for the rest of my life it would be the Nightwish tribute. It may also be Emppu’s best guitar work.
One of the best NW songs (in my humble opinion). That drop from operatic back to heavy towards the end is simply epic. Great reaction. Keep up the good work. You will soon get to a point where almost every NW song is a ‘favourite’, and when someone asks ‘what is you favourite NW song’ your brain will just seize up 🤪. Looking forward to seeing a reaction to Dark Chest of Wonders - the opening for the Wacken 2013 show, and one of the best show openers of any concert ever (also in my humble opinion). Awesome reaction by both of you to this wonderful performance. Glad to see you continuing down our beloved Nightwish rabbit hole. Keep them coming. All the best from Nightwish Army Phoenix.
I just can't get over the fact that Floor came into the band as a fill mid tour and this is the end of that tour. You listen to the group working together with her and you'd think they'd been working together for a decade. It's just so smooth and polished. And she sings the songs like she wrote them. As Impressed as I have been with the likes of Marc Martel and Liliac over the past year +, this band has similarly been fun to catch up on. I initially heard Tarja's version of Phantom of the opera and only later decided to follow up. Just took delivery on "End of an era" and this concert specifically on bluray.. it's amazing to listen to clean through. It is really rare to find one group that I have nothing bad to say about.. but I've found 3. Martel I found much earlier 12 years ago and when I checked back in over the course of time. Holy crap did it ever just get better. Fun thing is, It all started listening to covers and reactors.
There was always something about the chorus of this song that felt strange but i couldn't put my finger on what it is until i saw a composer analyzing the video and explained it. In over 90% of songs the singing of verses goes from low to high notes and in this chorus they go from high to low which is harder to pull off correctly and so its rare.
Another great reaction! You're quickly turning into some of my favourite reacters. You have great energy and are fun together. Can't wait to see you react to Song of Myself.
Hey peeps, this is 1 of my favs, long time ago I realized "a favorite" was NOT possible with Nightwish. I have many favorites a playlist of favs in fact with 26 songs just added "Perfume of the Timeless". 🎸7 Days to the wolves🎸 heavy must do. Lighter side 🎶Ever Dream🎶. They have so many flavors, much later 🎸The Poet and the Pendulum🎸 only after you do your homework though so you understand what is going on in the live performance. Watching for the next!
Enjoyed your reaction! This song is from their Imaginaerium album, a concept album based on an old composer on his death bed relieving the memories of his life. One of Tuomas's favorite topics or themes in his music is lost innocence. As a poet and artist Tuomas values the sense of wonder and imagination that innocent children have. In Storytime the composer is remembering the joy he got from childhood tales, thus the references to Peter Pan and Alice in Wonderland (Tuomas often uses literary references in his lyrics and as inspiration for songs). It is through these childhood stories that we discover ourselves and who we are (I am the story that will read you real). Song is inspired by a popular British Christmas movie The Snowman. Storytime" was born when Tuomas wondered why no-one had made a remake of the film, and pondered on what his version of the score to the scene in which "Walking in the Air" plays would sound like. Tuomas ""How would it feel to take a midnight flight with a snowman through the most wondrous landscapes, like in the classic animated Yuletide film? The meaning of our very existence is created though stories, tales and imagination. They are at the very core of humanity." Walking on the Air is a very popular Christmas song in the UK and Finland and Nightwish did a beautiful cover of it with their first singer Tarja that is worth reacting to.
Markos vocals are show cased in the Tribute to Pink Floyds "High Hopes" as several others have also mentioned Tarja was off stage changing and this is just the boys hitting on all cylinders. Next Please, new sub!
Great reaction again 💗 Please also react to A Dead Boy's Poem and Devil and the Deep Dark Ocean, Live Buenos Aires. Kind regards from the Netherlands ❤❤
Every song of NightWish is a journey. I enjoy The Greatest Show on Earth, While Your Lips Are Still Red, The Poet and the Pendulum, 7 Days to the Wolves, Ever Dream, Last Ride of the Day, Dead Boys Poem. I hope u look into these songs live version. Welcome to NightWish Army.
Yes, Nightwish is a group made up of ultra-talented musicians who play for the song. No egos here. You never get bored because every song is different and there isn't a bad song in the bunch. Someone else suggested High Hopes next. I totally agree. Time for you to see what Marko (and Emppu) can do.

New lighting? No orders, just suggestions. Hard nipples are another type of Floorgasm! Tuomas (keys) is a big Disney fan. This song references Peter Pan as well as Alice in Wonderland. High Hopes is a brilliant tribute to the Masters. It is Em-poo. It is a shortened form of his first and middle name with the diminutive of ppu added. Erno Matti Juhani Vuorinen.
Huh. I just looked that up, and I can see it. Makes sense. I always thought it (keyboard stand) was just to make it look like a stylized pipe organ. Thanks for the new info!
Whatever guard you have up, when Floor's voice comes in she cut's thru it like a fresh sharpened butcher knife and get's you right into your soul and while your bleeding out you feel satisfied.Go for high hopes, without Floor but a real great song! Even Gilmore gave tribute to it!
I love that you're going down the Nightwish rabbit hole. Floor gets a lot of attention and deservedly so, but Tuomas Holopainen on keyboards is the mastermind behind everything. He composes these songs and writes most of the lyrics. You should check them out with their previous singers, they had two before Floor. Anette Olzon but more importantly Tarja Turunen, their first vocalist. She is also a fantastic singer, so was Anette.
Funny that you should mention it, but this song is from a horror movie. It's called 'Imaginaerum'. It was written by Tuomas (Keyboards) and stars the members of the band. If you like Disney then maybe Floor's cover of 'Let It Go' might be fun. Always a pleasure when you upload. Love your reactions!
@@TJandTheGringa Make sure you get the remastered version from her YT channel. It was her and her husband's (Hannes Van Dahl, Sabaton drummer, and videographer in training) first try at doing video covers on YT, and Floor's voice in the mix was a tad low, so they quickly corrected it and re-issued.

"The core of all life is a limitless chest of tales".... A "Dark Chest of Wonders", perhaps? edit: thanks for the Damien mention - and the Omen mention! Ha!
Yes - EVERY Nightwish song becomes your favorite as soon as you hear it. That's just the way it works. By the way, the show opener from Wacken 2013, "Dark Chest of Wonders" is THE definitive opener IMHO. Please react to it!
does it shock you, that Tuomas - keyboards/songwriter of 95% of the lyrics and composer 99% of their catalogue, said about this song: "it was done in 2 hours" ? in a documentary you can find about this tour, and a lot more of informations about the band and what happened in the drama to change the mainvocalist in an ongoing world tour it is named "You have 48h to learn the Setlist!", and it is a ride i can tell you
❤❤ All songs are different & the next one will be your new favorite - so I recommend „Everdream“ (Wacken 2013)… BUT „High Hopes“ will also blow you away… a phenomenal tribute….
Hey, if you want to see a Halloween themed Nightwish song, then check out Scaretale live with Annette Olsen the second singer and then live with Floor Jansen in Helsinki festival in 2012, awesome request 😊
It's important to Keep in mind this was shot in early August and Floor had turing constantly with the band since she joined them to finish their north America leg of their past tour roughly 6-8 months. They haven't gone to studio to record new songs so she is still singing songs written for other singers..... and owning them.... that is all
And to think you haven't met their sixth member yet, Troy Donockley of England. He contributes backing vocals, occasional lead vocals, tin whistles, low whistles, Ulleann Pipes, Irish bouzouki, guitar + E-Bow, and any other instrument that might be lying around. From the same concert check out "I Want My Tears Back" with Troy on the pipes: ua-cam.com/video/ga-hR7CYbwQ/v-deo.html
This is one of two songs where I cannot stop myself moving to the music, even if I'm somewhere inappropriate like the supermarket. Luckily I'm old enough not to worry what people think as I dance down the aisle, though! And it's fine to do _High_ _Hopes_ next if you want, there's no rules to the order really...
Also “A soaring kite against the blue, blue sky, every chimney every moonlit sight…” I know Tuomas is a huge Disney fan, and those lines above, for me, call to mind Mary Poppins very strongly…as much as the imagery from Peter Pan.
Grandgrandpa73 here : The Dutch Windmill ? I teaching you. Stand in a Squat, Hands on the Tight, Head in front. Move from the Shoulders. Got this. Let's go.😅
The guy that's not reacting in the crowd is called 'the traveller' ... you'll see him more during the concert and he never reacts. He's from another planet....😅
This is our Valkyrie Goddess for you. And you witnessed a second time a "Dutch Windmill" , and to finish you off, The Operatic "Cruise Missile" !!!! Floor has 3 distinct styles. Head banging(straight forward, then back), hair whip(almost like cracking a bull whip) and the Windmill(continuous 360 degree revolutions). Why Windmill? Well she is Dutch. Awesome tune , although it is kind of a pop/rockish sound (originally sung by Anette, the second singer of Nightwish), but Floor gave it soooo much POWER !!! Including this "Operatic" part, what was originally done by children's choir because vocal limitations on their second singer (Great singer also, I might add), but Floor has none of that "Limit". Nightwish lyrics are often a bit interpretive, and not as "straight forward" as many other bands, because Tuomas ( The Metal Mozart Tuomas Holopainen: founder, leader, keyboardist, songwriter and the main composer for Nightwish.) prefers people to put their own interpretations and life experiences into the lyrics. you connect with songs on a personal level when there is something there that relates to things you have gone/are going through, and you may even find new connections later on in life when you have gone through other big events/emotions. there might be songs you are quite indifferent about (oh, nice song) and then you go through something big and all of a sudden it makes you break down in tears because now you relate to something in the lyrics you didn't before, and see it from a whole new perspective. imagination and life experiences are powerful, and Tuomas has great appreciation of this. As for the High Hopes... YES !!! NWSU/FloorFan/Epican/Ayreonaut/TWA 🤘😎🤘.

❤❤ All songs are different & the next one will be your new favorite - so I recommend „Everdream“ (Wacken 2013)… BUT „High Hopes“ will also blow you away… a phenomenal tribute….
Nice. Nightwish Army Germany calling 😊
7 days to the Wolves...you would like this one..
Live from Wembley
Took them 7 days to get through that epic drum and vocal solo lol
I concur!
@@aether13x69Yep.
Especially if you want to see Floor go totally feral.
Night wiSh is my favorite gothic metal... Tarja and annet that is my best singer at night wish.. no one more..
Go away
NightWish Army Wisconsin Chapter here. I absolutely Concur with High Hopes! ❤️🤘
Hey, if you want to see a Halloween themed Nightwish song, then check out Scaretale live with Annette Olsen the second singer and then live with Floor Jansen in Helsinki festival in 2012, awesome request 😊
I am,super stolked to see both of your excitement for my fav band. New subscriber and trust me there is many suprizes coming.
Pick anything else from this concert or Wembley 2015 concert or Tampere 2015 it’s all good.
Nice reaction. Greetings from Mexico City 🇲🇽
I am the empty crib of Peter Pan. That's some fine lyrics
I always loved, "follow the madness... Alice, you know, once did..."
Also “A soaring kite against the blue, blue sky, every chimney every moonlit sight…”
I know Tuomas is a huge Disney fan, and those lines above, for me, call to mind Mary Poppins very strongly…as much as the imagery from Peter Pan.
Grandgrandpa73 here : The Dutch Windmill ? I teaching you. Stand in a Squat, Hands on the Tight, Head in front. Move from the Shoulders. Got this. Let's go.😅
When Floor gets the crowd chanting I envision thousands of Vikings listening to this to get jacked up for a battle.
"Dead Boy's Poem" ❤
well, if you love Disney, then Floors cover of Frozen Let it go is a must ;)
and Into the Unknown from Frozen II. On Floor's YT channel.
The guy that's not reacting in the crowd is called 'the traveller' ... you'll see him more during the concert and he never reacts. He's from another planet....😅
😂😂
He is from the future
Nice response again!
It's really fun with you😘
Thank you so much!!
DEVIL and the deep dark oceaaaan !!!
Good one.
Please Weak fantasy at Tampere 🤘 and for the Disney vibe Floor solo on her UA-cam channel LET IT GO
