On the 350:
Did you end up putting oversized rings in it then?
Why did you not consider re-bore, new piston etc.?
On the 290:
Did you then re-bore etc. You never really say but kind of hint you did.

Would you ever sell one these ( FE290 ) ours smokes unbelievably and has a knock :( so a doubt a rebuild is possible... We are in Ontario im assuming tou ship ?
