- I thought I'd do this customer a favour, but unfortunately sometimes favours come back to bite you in the behind. Hobs are always either straightforward or a headache.

Looking for some advice, your videos have got me interested in becoming a gas engineer (I'm 18), the only concern is the apprenticeship I'm looking at doing is purely as a gas engineer with no plumbing qualification (it's with british gas) is just having this qualification good as I know there are plumbers that are gas safe so are gas engineers.
Hello mate, I'm glad my videos are giving you an insight into becoming a gas engineer. Apprenticeship is definitely the best way, I was 25 when I did my level 2 NVQ in plumbing & heating and then did my gas when I was 29. Both privately, so I didn't benefit from on site experience and had to do it myself the hard way. If you've got an opportunity with BG then take it, get your gas, but also look at level 2 and/or 3 in plumbing & heating because that will give you a good foundation of knowledge into how systems actually work. I don't know how the process is these days as I did mine privately years ago, but as I constantly hear there's more people in the industry retiring than there are coming in so definitely a good choice of career to look into 👍🏾
@@cputilitysolutions Thanks for the advice mate, never thought of doing it in reverse that way but makes a lot of sense. Can go do an apprenticeship after I've been working as a gas engineer for a while just so I've got all the qualifications if I want to go self employed one day.
Cheers again mate 👍
what a good guy you are to mute the jigsaw :)
👍🏾
I have fitted the odd second hand fan. I had the same as yourself..... it ran fine for a few hours but then died again after I had left.
I wonder whether it's the old boilers sat in storage, maybe the electronics on fan slightly damp?
Yeah I think that's most likely the case, worth a punt at least
Good stuff pal always enjoy your content 👍🏼. But with them safety glasses on i could of swore BLIND 😂 Ali G turned up as a gas safe engineer booyaka sha

It's not an easy industry to work in if you want to do the job properly, but if you do the right training and get a job with a firm in the beginning then you will get good experience. It all depends on if you enjoy this sort of work or not as well
@@cputilitysolutions thanks brother I’ll see where I can stand because I am here new in midlands I don’t any one but thanks anyway tc
