Hey, Amelia -
So glad to hear your Horizon treadmill has worked for you. Mine is still going strong after 13 months of use. The "house shaking" you mention would happen with any treadmill you use in a home setting; especially on an upper floor. I have used treadmills for 20 years and that is just what happens in a home setting. Moving it to the basement should help tremendously. My house sits on a crawl space and I actually have mine in a room that was added to the house in the back as a sunroom on the first floor. Thus, there is no vibration or shaking for others in the other part of the house to worry about. The speakers and the fan are two options that I do not use either, but I am sure others might enjoy. I do not think the speakers are loud enough for anyone on the treadmill to hear anyway. Earbuds are the best option as you say. The platform you are using for the treadmill now seems to have "grounded" you electrically speaking from getting shocked anymore! I believe the shaking you are getting when you run at an elevated height is because of the shock absorber Horizon installed on the bottom to help people safely lower and raise the treadmill as needed. It is a blessing when you want to carefully raise the treadmill for storage and lower it to use, but I think it is providing "play" in the platform when you use the incline. Perhaps the engineers did not discover or consider this at Horizon when they did this? This featherweight shock absorber is specific to Horizon and I have never seen it on any other treadmill out there! I'm just guessing on this one, but it is the only explanation I can come up with on that issue. I might be wrong. The only problem I ran into is the safety key will sometimes not work at first when I insert it. I discovered that if you keep the metal part of the safety key as dry as possible and rust free that it will work as it should, but will otherwise not communicate with the console properly and sometimes malfunction. I think you can get a backup key online for about $30 if needed. Good luck as you move it to the basement. I am so sorry you have to go through all that after building such a nice gym upstairs! Moving a treadmill is never fun, but perhaps this will be the solution you need to make everyone happy!
Nice to see that it's still hanging in there. About ready to pull the trigger on this -- your videos helped me make a decision. Cheers!
Thanks for the review!!! 😊
Super!👍 Keep up the good work!☀
The foam flooring, and the foam under the base that was built will make it bounce. Mine is on a tile floor on a cement slab doesn't bounce, and I weigh more. Cement 16x16 patio pavers would do way more for the bounce and the noise below. Cushion doesn't always damper motion.
did you try to connect a chest strap to it? i was never able to get the app working with my polar 4.0!
Are you want to know more about running on treadmill benefits & disadvantage, You can see this post >> ua-cam.com/video/nqrDRrjXRJU/v-deo.html
I am looking into the T202 for incline walking. Do you feel comfortable walking on an incline on the T202, rather than running?
Yes! I walk on an incline often 😊
Hi was purchasing a warranty worth it?
Did a you assemble it yourself?
5 months late but whatever. I bought the same treadmill but maybe an older model. Yes you assemble it yourself and it's heavy AF. In hindsight I wouldn't have bought this treadmill since I'm renting but I bought it in 2020 and wasn't sure how much longer gyms would be closed. It's still a nice treadmill. My advice is make sure to have one or two people to help put it together. Also, if you purchase this and put it together watch out for the spring mechanism under the treadmill and don't have the base on its side because it snap out and can potentially do some real damage.
Hello I was wondering if you think it is okay for a small apartment/room?
Ehh, it depends on what floor the apartment is on and how strong the building is. If it is above the 2nd floor, in a strong building, I say go for it! Just make sure it is in a clear space and nothing gets caught behind the treadmill while it is running. 🏃♀️😊
@@AMELIAANN I live on the lower floor and my room is a bit small. I’m worried that it might be too big for my room.
With how crazy people are nowadays, I would only use if u have a first floor unit. I have a second floor unit but has a downstairs to garage so I’m going to put it in the garage that way no one can complain
I got this treadmill back in September 2020. It was kind of a dumb decision because I'm not a homeowner and I still move around the country, but I hate the idea of abandoning this treadmill because it is in fact a really good treadmill.
