*This is the second Treadmill friend I've owned **bestgym.equipment** t was easy to assemble and easier to fold than my last one. The controls are a lot better as well. I give it 5 stars!*
Hey, Amelia - I purchased the Horizon T303 last month and it is the model just above the T202 that you have. The T303 is pretty much identical to yours except the LED display screen is blue and not red-orange and the motor is a little bigger at 3.0 horsepower. All other specs I believe are the same but the parts warranty is 3 full years instead of just 1 year. I think you are correct on all of your CONS, but I will say that my water bottle does not shake when I run on this treadmill. I am not sure why it would for you as you showed because I think both models weigh the same. That's crazy that is happening for you! One PRO that I think needs to be mentioned is the "featherweight" suspension shock that kicks in whenever you want to raise or lower the treadmill. This is a support shock that allows the treadmill to fall slowly into place when you lower it if you have it in the upright position. It also allows the treadmill to fold up more easily without the user having to do all of the lifting should you need to put it in an upright position. This also prevents accidents from happening like crushed hands or fingers in those situations. My kids are big now, but this would have been nice to have when they were younger just as a precaution. This treadmill replaces a Nordic Track T series I ran on for almost 9 years before it began to fall apart. I will say the fans on the Nordic Track are better, but I think Horizon is a solid brand thus far and comparable to Nordic Track if not better.
I just ordered the t202 and paid $765 for it. I bought it directly from Horizon and found a coupon code which lowered the price. Can't wait for it to get . here. I watched a review of this model and it isn't the best model for runners. It's best for walking and jogging.
Rollers- When we chose the rollers for our treadmill line we went with only the best and outfitted all of our treadmills with the same high-end rollers that most people only offer on $5000 treadmills. We use large rollers with a sealed bearing design and copper ground wires for each roller to reduce static. Larger rollers make for a larger contact surface against the belt and longer roller and belt life. This makes for smooth, quiet, static free motion that will stand the test of time. Here is what I found on a different treadmill and may explain what you talked about. Great video thank you.
Great video! I had a golds gym treadmill that sounds just like this one…I had to wear my Bluetooth headphones because it’s loud, it was bouncy on an incline. When I would run and touch the heart rate monitor I would get a shock too so I covered them with hand towels and that fixed it. I had my treadmill for 11 years before I finally decided to replace it with a Horizon. Horizon has a great lineup!
FYI - We had a different brand that also shocked every one who used it. Come to find out that is static electricity generated from the rubber mat (tread) you're walking or running on is what we were told. A simple application of a little silicon spray on the inside of the mat (whereas any that was spilled on the side of the mat you walk or run on is potentially a dangerous slip hazard) took care of that problem. These machines are grounded through the plug into the socket so that's NOT live 120 VAC you're getting hit with. Anyway that's what we were told and the silicone spray does work. But you need very little to eliminate those static shocks. You MAY also be able to ground the entire machine if the silicone treatment doesn't work but either way that seems like a very easy problem to fix fom what I've read and been told...
It’s good! The only problem is that I live on the second floor and it’s basically shaking the house every time I run… my dad built a platform to prevent it from shaking the house but now the treadmill shakes. Nothing is wrong with it but I should move it to the basement
For those mentioning that they’re getting shocks I will tell you after owning about three treadmills now need to Ground the electrical outlets and you should do this especially in case you leave it plugged in during the storm that can potentially ruin the entire equipment. You should really do this with any electrical equipment that is large. Are use an orange type of plug on top of a power strip that has grounding capabilities.
Just got mine in the mail this week. About to set it up! Glad for this video! If you have any put together tips, feel free to share! So glad your cons are mostly cosmetic. I don't care about the bluetooth or fan, but I know to use an old treadmill cup to fasten to the water bottle holder to keep it from falling off! Great review!
Thank you!! Be careful when you snip the zip ties on the bottom of the treadmill. There are tons warning signs but I snipped them off while the treadmill was on the side and the folding mechanism popped out extremely fast. I could’ve gotten a concussion but luckily it missed me by an inch! Enjoy your treadmill!
Just curious, are you pairing a fitness app to your treadmill, ive downloaded three and none of them seem to work. I have an android. Want to connect to my fitbit.
Thanks for posting your review on this treadmill. I've been using this treadmill since 6 months. It has been good so far. I don't run a lot but i do walk. I've been trying to pair the treadmill with an app but have not found the best way yet. Have you or someone paired any app with this treadmill and able to track your workouts? If yes, please feel free to share how to pair. Bluetooth pairing doesn't work, we need some app to automatically pair with this treadmill
Thanks for watching! I have not paired an app to the treadmill but I have paired Bluetooth. On my iPad under Bluetooth in Settings, I selected the 'T202-4 SPEAKER BD6F' device. I did not need to download an app to pair bluetooth but I believe the app to track your workouts on this treadmill is called ViaFit. I hope that helped!
I received mine two weeks ago. I watched the reviews on other videos. buyer beware. the customer service for horizon is horrible. I have yet to use it because it won't turn on. price was great but need customer service help. sorry. Your video was great.
If you call the customer service number you may never get through. If you have not already tried, call the parts and service department at 1-800-244-4192. I spoke to a nice lady there at that number and she said that sales and customer service are totally overwhelmed due to everyone ordering treadmills to use at home thanks to the pandemic. You will automatically be disconnected if your hold time exceeds 10 minutes. However, the folks at parts and service seem to pick up after a small hold time. Be sure to register your machine online too if you have not done so already. It will make the warranty process way easier.
@@Aztekko I ordered mine through a sporting goods store and it shipped from Washington state to my home in South Carolina. It took 3 full weeks. It may be quicker if you ordered directly through Horizon.
Thanks for the review on the t 202 treadmill, based on your review I purchased one of these. One question I have ,it is not in the manual that I Can see, is how to lower the treadmill once is has been raised. I don't see any release button or anything else. Can you please give me a hint as to how to lower the treadmill once it has been raised. Many thanks
I’m glad the review was helpful!! The one time I folded my treadmill up, the only way to get it back down was to kick the bar on the bottom. I thought I might break it but it’s the only way and requires force
To avoid getting shock you can purchase an insulation tube in a hardware store they looke just like a pool noodle and you can cut it and use it on top of the metal handle. Same for spinning bikes handles
I used to shock myself on my old treadmill but not by touching it with my hands. I used to get shocked through my ear buds! That was the only time they ever shocked me! LOL

I don’t get shocked on mine. I think you should call Horizon to either come out or instruct you on how to take apart and properly put together. Good luck.
It’s the heart rate sensors. If you touch it with your finger gives you a little shock kind of like when you rub your feet on the carpet and you get a shock -Static electricity. If you stay back on your treadmill you won’t hit it

Oh wow! That’s really smart! I’m glad you enjoyed the review 😁
Perfect timing. I've been looking at this treadmill for a while online.
I came back to say that I purchased it a few weeks ago and absolutely love it!
