How to put on socks and shoes when paralysed

  • Being Paralysed from the chest down for almost 20 years, I had to learn how to do everything from scratch. This included basic things like getting dressed. I have no control over my legs at all and they can feel like dead weights. Being able to do simple tasks like putting my shoes on were some of the first skills I learnt post injury and makes a big difference to how I live my life.

    I am c7t1, my legs are stiff and reflexes work that I cannot control my own legs. Please suggest

      Hi, I am no sci specialist, I would recommend speaking to a physio first. I stretch my legs every day to maintain flexibility. That, alongside taking antispasmodic meds (baclofen 100mg daily)
