Seriously, at this point the ATP/WTA should just hire Manu to make their official game. Looking at what he is capable of without budget, imagine what he could achieve with a few millions to work with.
Man just wish Tiebreak hired Manu to implement the Tennis Gameplay aspect. It would seriously be the best game ever. But for now, Tennis Elbow 4 is amazing ❤❤
I love the comparison of PES and FIFA at the end. I was thinking that the whole time. I would love to put the time into Tennis Elbow but unfortunately most people I know would rather have a pick up and play experience. Like why people play pickleball vs learning to play tennis.
Not sure how many of the people saying this game doesn't look like real tennis does really know the game. Maybe the've seen matches but never really played at a good level to understand the game. This game has a very good understanding of the physics of strokes. It needs small adjustmentd to become the best tennis game ever. But still the best out there.
I actually like different tennis games for different times. I love TE4 and FAT for when I want to be challenged and improve my tennis game. I also like arcade tennis for when I just want to relax and have some fun...and that is where the problem with Tiebreak and Topspin lie. Tiebreak is better now than before, but the difficulty levels are still broken. They need to adjust for all types of players...good and bad. The Easy level is just plain stupid and the CPU barely even tries to hit anything I send at it. The only points I lose is when I totally screw up, not from what the CPU does, but from missing button presses or knocking the ball out of the court!. But switch it up to Normal, and the CPU becomes Nadal and can reach any shot I send at it. And although it doesn't constantly return them to the exact corners anymore, it still makes the game unenjoyable for someone like me. I am up to Junior-1 now in TE4 and improving slow but sure. I have a blast playing and feel excited when I win the match. In Tiebreak, I win 99% of the time on Easy but I just get frustrated when I bump it up to Normal, and turn the game off after a short spell. I do like the flow of career mode and the other modes available in Tiebreak...but its not worth playing with where the game is at right now.
Tennis Elbow 4 or Full Ace. If you haven't heard much about them and want to learn more, you can watch my reviews of both titles. I also have direct comparison video between these games.
The ball just moves weird in this game to me, physics are poor, players warp/jump into every shot... still not good enough for me. These graphics and full ace gameplay is what I want... Tiebreak just isn't satisfying at all
yes, these graphics and full ace gameplay. very very unfortunate that full ace has only 1 dev working on it. I love full ace, but I will admit I don't play it because everything other than gameplay feels like I am playing a browser game
@@hmp01do you use FA mod? I think it looks fine in gameplay depending on the camera used... some courts like wimbledon look great. Not 'realistic' but good enough imo... some courts in Tiebreak look average too, Top Spin has the best looking courts imo
@@msum23 I used every mod both for tennis elbow and full ace. full ace is the best but the characters and animations still look like a browser game. I wont talk about the cash grab arcade game top spin
agree with all the points here. definitely much more arcadey and I dont think that is going to change, its just a fundamentally different tennis game than TE4 or Full Ace. It's a shame, because it'd be nice for once to have a game that puts together tiebreaks graphics and licenses with the gameplay of TE4.. sadly, the wait continues.
This is the part that is so frustrating for me: Tiebreak got the expensive part done right (graphics and licenses), but they struggle at fundamental gameplay aspects of tennis game. It's a pity that we have to choose between good looking game and satisfying gameplay still in 2024 :/
I never wanted an easy to play tennis game. For an example, I can lose hours over Tennis Elbow or Full Ace, but get bored after 20-30 mins of Top Spin 4. Tho we do have to admit that Tiebreak is literally the first tennis game out there that came out with licensed and correct shots for every player, and for that, it's already better than 70% of competition. Would like to see them implement tactics and tendencies and timing or something for the shots that aren't as easy, but the game looks almost perfect the way it is, just needs work on the actual tennis part.
@takeyourtime3328 Sure thing, but as I said, their "tennis part" is already much better than the likes of AO Tennis, Tennis World Tour, Top Spin 2k25(for me at least, it's a complete ripoff of TS4 which was massive), Grand Slam Tennis 2 which is an older game, Virtua Tennis which is also an older game, and so on. They have all the prerequisites if they want their game to be the absolute best Tennis game out there. Their animations are the best default animations of any tennis game we ever witnessed. Most of the TE2013 mod animations don't come close to this. Full Ace is janky in it's own ways, but has the physics, and so on. They need to work on the game for sure, but it's much less work than any of the competition to make it perfect.
@@machetegaming exactly, and players have signature animations so during the fast rallies while you're focusing on the ball, they often times look like their real life counterparts hitting the ball
It would be perfect if it had the gameplay from FAT or TE4. The player models and graphics are very nice, and they have the licenses. However, gameplay is mediocre and frustrating.
Hey man...this gets constant updates...and not much better, just the ball is slower...and goes short sometimes... the power shots are toned down, and the big one.... the flat shot actually can make it over the net. Other than that, the game is terrible....NO SHOTS GO OUT of bounds....NONE! first serve percentage should not even be a stat...AI always hits in bounds...no matter what....its an arcade game. The huge improvement would be if shots went out. They just won't seem to address or see it. You introduced me to the best tennis sim ever...Tennis elbow 4.
I hear you and agree with you. Lack of errors, player agency and skill mastery in this game is very apparent to those craving realism. I'm glad my videos helped you find a tennis sim that you're enjoying! Hearing this makes me smile, really, cuz it's the reason I make content! Thanks for sharing 🙂
Hi! Thank you so much for making a video about a question I've been asking myself for a few days. Being a big tennis fan for many years and practicing this sport for several years, I wanted to give Tie Break a try. I've been playing Full Ace for a long time, in fact I have about 750 hours of play, and I've always appreciated the positive things you mentioned in the video; but I wanted (having also done a two-day trial of Top Spin 2k25) to try a game with better graphics and player movements faithful to real players. What I wanted to ask you was about the career mode of Tie Break, since on Full Ace it is very nice yes, but it lacks animated videos or anything else I would like. So I wanted to ask you, would you recommend Tie Break for the career mode? If so, what is it like? Is it worth buying the game for this mode?
Hmm the career mode is quite good in Tiebreak (basically the same as AO2 career mode but with a better roster, if you've played that one). While the mode itself is nice, the gameplay and lack of challenge against CPU make it so boring that I found myself not wanting to play it. So I cannot recommend career mode because of that. Have you tried Tennis Elbow 4 and its career? It's the best career mode in the genre, with great gameplay. However it has the same limitations as Full Ace (presentation) so might not scratch the itch.
@@machetegaming No, I have never tried the Tennis Elbow 4 career, maybe I will think about it. In conclusion, I wanted to ask you if, according to my tastes and gaming experiences, you would recommend me to buy Tie Break
If gameplay is important for you in a tennis game, and my guess based on you enjoying Full Ace so much is that you do value deep gameplay, then I think you will get disappointed with how Tiebreak plays. It's nowhere near Full Ace in everything that matters in terms of gameplay. Once you get the hang of what works and what doesn't, there is no challenge in this game. But I think the best for you is to maybe try it out on Steam? You get 2 hours of playtime before refund expires. So if you're tempted, then maybe try the game for yourself.
@@machetegaming yes but he cant get a refund on his payment method. you can try this game other way, since content creator cannot suggest, I will, just try the cracked version before deciding to buy it or not
The roster, graphics and a lot of details in this game are really really good. But when it comes to the match, you want to turn off the game. It feels like you're playing on a mobile app. Tennis players move very absurdly. I am not a fanatic and there was competition for the fact that tennis in the gaming industry was just developing. But today and for more than a decade, TopSpin's gameplay is the best in the world. Can't you see that? The movement of tennis players in Top Spin is close to real, which immerses you in the match and makes you believe in what is happening. Even the professional players themselves recognized TopSpin as the most realistic game. I really hope for a healthy competition between Tiebreak and TopSpin, then we will get at least one masterpiece.
I view Topspin's gameplay (TS4 and TS2k25, cuz I like TS3 the most out of this series) way lower than many people. In Topspin, movement is heavily assisted. So while it looks good for sure, it doesn't feel good. For me, the best gameplay in the tennis games title belongs to either Tennis Elbow or Full Ace, and it's not even close. If you've never played either, I highly recommend to give them a shot for a really satisfying tennis experience.
