You had 3 more bolts left to remore the entire Throttlebody and. PROPERLY. ! clean The T/Body & I.A.C. valve. using the CORRECT PROCEDURE . Using Throttlebody cleaner , a toothbrush and CLEAN. CLOTH NAMASTE
That is how the system works the last man that wrenches anything is responsible for the whole job. All blame falls on him. If everything works though he gets full credit for a job well done.
Didn't see you clean the throttle body thanks for the tip on not doing it while it was not running was about to do that. I wasn't sure how to make it run without that sensor in the airbox wasn't sure if that was a airflow sensor or maybe just temp sensor. I suppose it will run just plugged in laying off to the side
Great video! I have the same low idle issue and stalling at stops. Thanks, I'll be doing this tonight to my WK. Question, when you cleaned it with gas, just let it soak in a bowl of regular 87 grade and clean it with a brush?
New sub good video! Just curious I think I have a dirty iacv my check engine light came on n the idle seems kind of rough only when I starts it on a 07 jgc as well, what are the usual symptoms of a dirty iacv?
+voicesfollow i have not been getting my youtube emails so sorry for the slow response.. cold starts it was fine once it warmed it was running rough and about 100 rpms below normal idle and when you touch the gas sometime it would stall out.
Linux & Other Stuff humm. I have a 07' Commander 3.7 and the air box won't come out unless I remove the crossbar that goes from shock tower to shock tower. Not enough room
I have a 2007 jeep grand Cherokee and when I rev the engine the rpm’s doesn’t come back down like it supposed to could the idle control valve be my problem?
I changed my IAC valve on my 2006 JGC 4.7 and now the idle is running rough. Before I changed the IAC, there was no rough running, just stalling. Does anyone know what might be the problem?? Please Help!
I had to use a flat screw driver to gently pry it out along with pulling. It has two O rings that make it very snug. getting it back in I had to tap with screw driver and hammer. I did the work to make the check engine light go off and so far it has worked. The video was useful in showing location of the valve.
Take a shop rag and spray the solvent on the rag. All you need to do is to wipe down the TB where the valve opens and closes and repeat over until it's clean, same procedure with the port that the IAC valve goes into. Folks don't be spraying chemicals into your T-body, w/engine running or not. You don't want that shit in your intake manifold eating away the rubber gaskets and the exhaust from the burned chemicals going thru your cat and o2's. I don't care if B-12 chemtool label says "cat. converter and o2 sensor safe". Unless you completely remove the T-body from the vehicle, just use a rag.
Been a while since this video was posted...but as happy Jeep owner recently of the 2005 model ..your lack of knowledge of bolt size and such...made me reluctant to take your advice....good video tho...not very helpful in the end
Great video especially the way you narrated it and the cool dude helping you

Thanks for the video brother 👊👌👍
Thanks for the video, had the same issue !
You can use Throttle Body and Air Intake Cleaner on both areas,..just let them dry before re-installation.

That's a great video thank you so much 🇺🇸
Thanks for video, I will do it on my jeep renegade 2005,,

Do you know how to adjust the throttle cable on the throttle body ?
thanks very helpfull
Good Job buddy
Thanks good video

+Sam Thomas yes clean it with a small brush. also check to see if gunk build up around the intake throttle.
Sam Thomas
Sam Thomas did cleaning it fix your problem?
New sub good video! Just curious I think I have a dirty iacv my check engine light came on n the idle seems kind of rough only when I starts it on a 07 jgc as well, what are the usual symptoms of a dirty iacv?
thanks, rough idle, stalling. might want to check the code first. a auto place can check the "check engine light" code.
So you used gas to soak to IAC but can I ask what I would/should do with the dirty gas after its used for the soak?
throw it in your neighbors yard.
Before you cleared the IAC, how much was your jeep idling at on coldstarts? and what was the temperature outside.
+voicesfollow i have not been getting my youtube emails so sorry for the slow response.. cold starts it was fine once it warmed it was running rough and about 100 rpms below normal idle and when you touch the gas sometime it would stall out.
How did you get the top air box off? Did you remove the cross bar that goes over top?
the two torx screws under it 0:30 didnt remove any bar.

maybe they changed it, this was a 05.
Thks
The end of this video is making me clean the iac sensor
The hard start after going somewhere 👍🏼
2011 Jeep 3.7 same engine
I have a 2007 jeep grand Cherokee and when I rev the engine the rpm’s doesn’t come back down like it supposed to could the idle control valve be my problem?
yes very well could be.
maybe you need to take the trottle body off and clean it instead of spraying cleaner into the system
I agree
I have a Jeep Grand Cherokee 2005 every time I hit the subtle red it hesitates and it be clicking from the on the valve covers
I have a 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo every time I hit the accelerator it start hesitating and and clicking noise are coming from the valve covers

Ever figure out the issue
@@thatsright2456 I forgot to plug a coil back in
A 10mm works better on those clamps then a phillips
if you have one LOL
did you get a code?
no. the truck never had a code. just was running bad. hard starting and would stall at lights.
I removed by torx bit on my idle air control valve, but I can't remove the valve. Should it just pull out?
I had to use a flat screw driver to gently pry it out along with pulling. It has two O rings that make it very snug. getting it back in I had to tap with screw driver and hammer. I did the work to make the check engine light go off and so far it has worked. The video was useful in showing location of the valve.
You have to fully remove the screw , unplug the connector, and twist the whole valve out.
Take a shop rag and spray the solvent on the rag. All you need to do is to wipe down the TB where the valve opens and closes and repeat over until it's clean, same procedure with the port that the IAC valve goes into. What could I clean it with than throttle spray?
Good job getting the little man involved. That’s how you raise a real man, not a fruity little weirdo.
Ya you can clean it while it’s not running. All ur doing is letting all the shit burn through the engine.

😮 iqual Cero..
He don't know how to screw 😂 lol
