Love this format. I thought I was the only one constantly wandering around the house, turning the light in different directions, only making it worse each time. Shows real suffering of cinematographers.
Beautiful work friend! I was watching the part where you said you hated gear and in contrast, seeing that lark m2 makes me believe that you appreciate gear that makes life easier, but who doesn't? Fantastic job brotha!
@@rapbisnar hey, thanks bro! Haha, yeah, I'm being a little tongue in cheek. I absolutely love the results that gear affords. I just hate when gear complicates things. The heft, the dying batteries, the clutter etc. My dream is to have a crew handle all the gear, me with nothing but a little director's monitor
@@ScottJeschke I hear you! A crew is the answer. You know what they say, you wanna go fast, go alone, you wanna go far, go together. Looking forward to watching your other videos brotha, have a good one 🔥

Your videos have taught me and inspired me to rethink my approach when on set and I’ve seen a huge increase in my quality! Thank you for all the effort you put into these videos!
Hey Scott! Thank you so much for your videos! I'm starting my channel over to be more like yours! What an amazing visuals you bring! And man, for one of the key points to make better videos, can you help me with a question about haze? The device you used to haze the ambient, is it a simple smoke maker or is it a specific hazer? Do you think I could use a smoke machine to do the same? And what liquid do you use and where do you buy it? Thank you so much!!
Hey, thanks so much! It's a ulanzi handheld smoke machine. I think it's not haze actually, but smoke. More like a mini smoke machine.. or a vape to be honest. Smoke machine will have the same effect. Just louder and takes longer. Haze machines look the best but are more expensive and not as quick.
This is great inspiration for a beginner like me. Just a question, do you feel like the cool light from the door window with the blinds is taking away from the warm sunlight thing you are going for? Would it help realism with another warm light hitting that from outside?
@@skyscraperphilosopher8476 thanks! Yeah, if I had more lights, I would do something about that. Didn't have enough. There were powerful though. My thinking is that sometimes there's a general cool ambiance in either the afternoon or morning, but certain spots get a streak of harder warm light. So that spot outside could have a bush behind it for instance. I know I'm making excuses a little, but my rationale is that it's possible for it to look this way depending on what's actually going on outside. But yeah, ideally I'd have another big bright light there
@@ScottJeschke thanks. I got some pretty bright 2k tungsten lights, but only relatively weak LEDs (Nanlite 200) so this is a perfect scene for me to take advantage of those tungsten lights. Question is if I should buy a gel to bring the tungsten to 2700 k for that extra color contrast... Would you have bothered with that or just keep them 3200K along the daylight LEDs?
@@ScottJeschke Agree. I guess it would be better to get all the output of the tungsten and rather gel the LED fill lights if necessary. Thanks for taking time to reply
