There are a few different ways to attach a Gopro to a DJI Avata but this is the best way I have found. These sticky mounts are possibly the most trustworthy mounts out there.
Hey Zach, thanks for another super informative video. I just got an avata, and having difficulty uploading clips to instagram. The quality from the avata is spectacular, but instagram seems to downgrade it when i post. Do you have any insight? Thanks.
I’m not quite sure why. For instagram I always try and upload my videos in 1920x1080. I’ve tried uploading in 4K but generally instagram can’t handle the size of the video so maybe try that. Let me know if you have more problems with that, I’d be happy to respond to an Instagram DM and I can help troubleshoot
DJI avata video suck you need a GoPro to get better video that fits in an iPhone screen, get the naked GoPro so the avata doesn’t get over loaded with weight and your golden
Thanks for the video, awesome stuff... Have you found there is a need to upgrade the Avata motors to withstand the extra weight over time? Saw OriginaldoBo recommended Axis ones if you're attaching the Gopro but not sure its really needed. Considering the Gopro 11 mini over the 10 bones but still up in the air if you have a recommendation. Thanks!
That’s a great question! I personally haven’t experimented with it yet but now that you say that I think I will. I have a buddy who changed the props and he seems to enjoy flights with the gopro better. I actually recently learned the 11 mini is heavier than the normal 11 which is crazy. I would go with bones if you’re worried about the weight but I still have no real problems with the regular 11

I use these GoPro mounts on my RC car and trucks.
what is your avrg flight time with a fully charged battery and the gopro on it ?
I can get about 11 minutes or so
Are you getting micro-virbrations (jello) with this mount? Any footage to share? thanks!
I have not had problems with jello, make you stabilize in GoPro player or Gyroflow though

Why my avata can’t hantle action cam. It’s shakes. Are you take off in acro or normal?
Generally depends on the situation. I usually take off in normal mode and switch to acro unless I’m confined by a small space

I like it! But I prefer to use the GoPro, it looks more professional
