Looks good!
Can you make a video comparison for Avata 2 camera vs Gopro please? 😁
It's coming soon.
Thank you. Please compare it on low light too. 🙏🙏
One with a 1/4" thread for Insta360 and other non GoPro cameras would be nifty.
Thank you so much for this extended video. Does the GoPro mount come with the Avata package ?
Best
Greg
The GoPro mount is something we developed and is not included with your Avata 2, you can find it on our website here:

@@AerialPixelhi.. do you ship to asia?
@@heyjani Yes, we ship internationally. It's expensive for us though, we charge actual shipping cost + $1 US for packaging.
@@AerialPixelthat's what i thought. Unfortunately there is not yet avail mount for avata 2 in asia that's why.
Thank you so much for sharing this interesting video!
However, I do have a few questions:
- Why are we using the drone camera with a higher angle (and not 0°, and consequently adjusting the GoPro's as well)?
- Will the Avata 2 also be compatible with the full GoPro 12? (which I just purchased..!)
- Would this combination be suitable for indoor footage, particularly for the real estate business?
Thanks once again for your attention!!
Best regards from Southern Germany,
Cristián
Hi Cristián, with traditional FPV filming we normally set our camera angle based on the approximate speed we want to go. The faster you need to go the more uptilt you will need, or opposite for going slower. The reason for this is the drone tilts forward to go forward, the idea is to keep your horizon where you want in the frame based on your speed.
We have tested our mount with the Hero 12, and Hero 11 Mini, it works very well with both cameras.
Yes you can use it indoor as well, I would suggest sampling both the onboard camera as well as the GoPro footage before getting to a job to fine tune your settings.
Hope that helps!
@@AerialPixel Great! Thank you so much, Ryan!
@@AerialPixel Hi Ryan, regarding your response, I have an additional question:
Assuming I am flying indoors and the speed is not very high:
a) Will the drone fly 100% flat/horizontally?
b) Thus, does the GoPro also need to be positioned at 90°?
Is that correct?
So, in this case, if the camera is placed in the middle of the drone and I use the wide-angle lens, my specific question is:
won't the front part of the drone appear in the shot?
Many thanks for your attention!!
Kind regards
Cristián
Awesome video! How did it handle the weight?
It still flies fine, it is a bit heavier in the air and flight times are slightly reduced, but that can be expected.
if we were to put in vertical mode the GoPro would show some of the drone right?
When you flip to vertical mode just make sure you have about a 15 degree uptilt on the camera angle and you should get the front ducts out of frame. Just make sure if you have stabilization turned on you rock the drone up and down a few times to make sure they are completely out of view.
Just bought one. Very nice solution and priced well. Congress don't screw me on this with the DJI ban, I've got skin in the game now.
Well... it didn't survive the crash.
Does it work with DJI osmo action 4 on it mounted vertical ?
Yes, using the DJI cage and mount it works for vertical filming.
whats the difference in battery life with a big gopro on it? half the juice?
It depends on how you fly. Normal (non aggressive) flights you can expect around a 20-25% flight time decrease due to the extra weight of the GoPro.
are we able to get the stl file?
I'm sorry, we don't release our design files.
how can I mount the gopro vertically?
We offer a vertical adapter on our website:
GoPro 9,10,11,12: bit.ly/goprovertad
GoPro Mini 11: bit.ly/gpminivertad
We also offer vertical skeleton frames:
GoPro 9,10,11,12: bit.ly/goproskeleton

Hi Ryan, Just bought the Avata 2 would like to buy this through your link but i need it shipped to Cebu Philippines. is that possible??
Yes we ship internationally from our Etsy Store and Website.
@@AerialPixel What is the estimated ship time to Cebu Philippines? Can I pay more to expedite?
Most international shipments arrive within 2 weeks. We don't offer expedited international shipping.
@@AerialPixel I just placed the order on your Etsy store. Shipping to the Philippines. Appreciate any help or advice you can give.
I also would like to buy your Air Tag Mounts. I have a Mavic Pro 3. 3 Mini Pro 4's and just bought the Avata 2.
Any help is appreciated. Thank you
Have you flown with a Insta360?
It flies fine with the X2. But the X3 and X4 are much heavier and may be too much for the Avata 2 to handle, I haven't tried those yet.
@@AerialPixel Thanks. I hope you can a video of an X3 on top of it. I'd really like to know. I saw Drone Captain put an X3 on his FPVs (not Avata).
Brother pls tell me how to fix gopro 10 with low battery issue, i need help, i will be your new subs 😢😢😢
Without knowing more about your situation I can offer this advice:
If your battery level is dropping quickly, or the camera turns off suddenly with you still have 40% battery or more you have a bad battery pack. Have you tried replacing it?
@@AerialPixel my battery is still good, and i replace it with the new one, but still same problem, but if i use it with without battery and only with type c to type c cable work normally, pls help
does it interfere with gps?
Very little, see 5:20 of the video, this is discussed.
Very unnecessary I think with the Avata’s camera
The Avata 2's camera is good... if you like high frame rates. Unfortunately high frame rates don't look very cinematic. That is where having a separate action camera comes into play, getting 24 or 30fps looks so much better and is even a requirement for some jobs when filming professionally. For the casual flyer the O4 camera will be fine.
Very useful for clients requesting 24fps for professional tv and film applications. Added benefit of being able to view in lower latency and auto exposure for flying in darker environments too
But why?
Adding a 2nd camera is good for filming in lower frame rates for better motion blur. For casual shooting the internal O4 camera is fine.
@@AerialPixel 25 fps is good, but shooting with a 180deg shutter is not a good idea with FPV. It generally leads to too much motion blur and if your quad is not incredibly smooth, vibrations in the footage combined with low shutter can actually make your footage look out of focus from vibrations that are visible in Gyroflow. It's best to shoot with a slightly higher shutter (ie. 1/100) You still get plenty of motion blur as you're going much faster with FPV anyway
I agree, I usually shoot with a 90deg shutter angle with FPV, gives just the right amount of motion blur and Gyroflow still handles the footage fine.
