I don't have perfect pitch but this feels familiarly low to my old piper ears, compared to the current contest bands, even if well above that of the 1950 Scots Guards recording that made me become a piper back in the 60's. Fine performance, great sound, thanks for sharing video.
I was pleased to see that The USA got to see the Scots Guards twice this year,2013.the regimental band with the Black Watch, January thru March then Pipes and Drums 1st Scots Guards in April,2013.the Americans seemed to have enjoyed the tour. I would have liked to see our bands featured in american shows such as JAG and NCIS.
Scotland England wales and Northern Ireland are under the common untied kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. Because we are joined politically it common to use British. Though Scotland has its own parliament. Wales has its assembley same with Northern Ireland.

Some of my best years serving in the Guards, was with the Scots Guards.
They are not the Oldest Regiment in the British Army !! That is the Coldstream Guards. And the Oldest Band in the World also
