Losing Tom was painful. This song is definitely the essence of Tom Petty and was always my favorite. Now it has a special meaning since Tom had to "learn to fly". I was skeptical of this version when it started but soon found myself in tears. I admit, I cried through the entire song. I did manage to grab my bass and play along with about 1/2 of it. Thank goodness you don't have to see clearly to hear beautiful music. Fantastic job on this. Seriously. Beautiful rendition of Learning to Fly. Thank you.
