@@joshwest9373Unfortunately, it's technically possible to mod a game on a console like the PlayStation 4 or 5, but it is substantially more difficult to put a mod on a console, and requires *a lot* more effort on the part of the person installing the mod.
I guess it because of how the MC works as a self insert, and Atlus has this shonen mindset on their games, still targetting primarily on male audience. I guess that also explain why they're really dipping out from gay link options for dude MCs too.

For anyone wondering why they made The Answer DLC and not add the FeMC route as DLC... One of the devs in an interview stated that "it pains me to say this, but as much as we want to add the FeMC route in the game, it would cost us almost the same amount of times as making Persona 3 Reload, and delaying the development time to release it in time" Then why they made The Answer a DLC? Apparently they planned this ahead of time, since its a "short" add-on story, the FeMC/Kotone's story is almost the same as Makoto's story... if developing Kotone's story, the development time would double, probably releasing P3Reload around late 2025 - early 2026, since it started development around late 2022, if making it a DLC, probably the same amount of time, but with more pressure and cost of money Edit: so I went and looked up the Episode Aigis interview and here is what the developer said in the interview: I would like to take this opportunity to ask a question. I’ve heard a lot of requests from fans that they wish that the female protagonist from Persona 3 Portable would be included in the remake. It's incredible, there is still a lot of room to improve, but it looks good for now, I think what they have to do is keep working on the drawings, they still look quite strange, Furthermore, and the game does not use drawings, they are all Makoto renders, except the one that appears when choosing the dialogues
Not only does this mod bring FeMC, but also enables all the yuri fantasies while eliminating Ken as a datable option. This is literally THE best FeMC experience.
This is very promising. i was skeptical about this project in the past but it's clear that the team has a better grasp on the future of the project and where it needs to go. I still have issues however. some art assets will have to be remade (like her portrait) and some of the animations used here look ridiculous. overall tho im looking forward to where this project is headed

So how would we be able to enjoy the mod once it's released? I've never downloaded a modded version of a game before and this makes me so excited that I just have to play this one.
Everything here looks stellar! The only thing I wish I could see is her naginata, but that would likely involve a lot more work. This mod is absolutely incredible and I will definitely be looking forward to playing it eventually.
They’re actually implementing her naginata and are making multiple versions for it! It’s been in development for a week or two now and multiple 3d modelers have been working on figuring out how the animation process would be with it as well.

Her model looks a little rough with her skirt looking a bit boxy/unnatural but it looks really good for a fanmade project and I’m sure it’ll look even better with time :) Keep up the great work!!!

The pink in the UI is way too... overbearing? Like, its oversaturated in some areas and way too bright as well. And yet, its way too dark in other areas. The color shades in general are just all over the place.
EVERYTHING LOOKS SO MUCH BETTER!!! One thing I still find extremely noticeable though is how dead the eyes look on her in-game model, although I don't know what exactly is causing it to seem that way. I think it's missing some reflections? Either way, hoping they get to that in the next update one! Also is there a way to support the dev team financially??
Honestly, with how much progress has been made already with this Mod, it infuriates me that Atlus didn’t want to do it themselves. It just goes to show how much the fandom loves Kotone, and how much Atlus just sees her as an afterthought after using her to sell copies of Portable.
Not sure how possible it is, but replacing the linked episodes with the original male social links might not be too hard. Then you could either just use text or the old voice lines. Although with more social links youd either need new days(you could probably remove the random week where you get sick to start) or youd have to remove others(which probably isnt best). And obviously not super sure how you would handle the whole October 4th incident, Extra characters, and other events as well
The only thing that I really noticed was minor clipping issues with the skirt at 8:57 but other than that this is really really good work! Absolutely fantastic! The modding community is always out here completely blowing me away.
What would be pretty cool is that for if someone is playing Japanese Audio, they use the FeMC voice from P3P. So it would be similar to both P3R where the English Cast is new while the Japanese Cast is the same. Also weird fact I found out: Originally in P3, the voice actress for Elizabeth shares a voice with another character within the games. For English, it was Mitsuru, but for Japanese, it's Chidori The more you know.
Thank you to the entire team of modders doing what atlas should have done in the first place. That music is hitting a very specific part of my nostalgia, almost could bring a tear to the eye!
My one critique is the neck on the Portrait looks a bit too long, just a small nit pick but if you look at Mitsuru or Yukari it’s very noticeable that she looks like she’s from a different game
I know this is overcharging, but if one day this has FEMC social links this will be my favorite fan work, I grew up playing with FEMC and it's sad that Atlus publicly admits that they didn't do this because of money, I would pay this game at full price if that were the case, but now I prefer not to play it, thank you for the work of the fans in trying to make this real
I have the ps5 version and as much as i would like to get the pc version just to try this out, I'd pretty much be giving atlus money for something the modders made, which would be eggregiously unfair
Gonna be honest here i had no interest in reload as the original game gives me my fix... But this will. A refresh of the same story but with a different p.o.v a slight difference in execution... This is a reload worth the bullets.
Changing skin and UI can be done pretty fast (certainly not that easy, but it's not something that will take months just to get done), though fine adjustments may take some time. I'm waiting for the cutscenes especially the anime ones as well as every social links, including "Shinji doesn't die", and other different lines
They’re making it where you can pick which all out cut out you want the most. Multiple artists have made different versions and you can install which version suits your taste the most.
I only played FES as a teen and never really experienced femc but knew she was well loved, this mod is making me want to start all over and see why everyone loves her!
Looking great, there’s some poor cropping in the menu portrait but impressive work overall. Some cleaning up here and there would really make it look official.
Does anyone know why the modeling errors are happening, because I thought I had an idea when the first look came out, but I still don't entirely understand. 1. What's up with the idle animation when she's standing still outside of the Dark Hour? 2. Does the hair have physics, or am I just not looking close enough? 3. Why does the ribbon in the portraits and the menus not work? I thought the models in the menus were also custom, but do they actually function off of the actual model? 4. Her skirt and body posture in battle, where the upper part of her body is connected to the lower part where it looks like a round skirt held up with hoop wire or what's it called, can that be fixed somehow, or is that also based of Makoto's model for some reason? All in all, art and music look good, so waiting for the day this mod extends to absolute control of the game.
To everyone saying "WoW ATLUS is sooo lazy for not making FEMC when modders have done it in no time" All modders have done is changed colors, music, model swap and add some new images its not the same as if ATLUS had to do it. New VA for FMEC, a MOUNTAIN of new dialogue exclusive to her interactions with people, her own exclusive Social Links and probably Link Episodes as well, whole new Scenes, Brand new music as well as remixes of her old tracks, adding the ability for Spoiler-Kun to live, New animations for her, new weapon class and her own wardrobe of outfits And probably more. They would have to make the same game a second time for crying out loud, FEMC is cool but the amount of work and not to mention delays it would take are not worth it, if you wanted FEMC at launch for example this remake probably would be out in 2026 and as DLC it would keep P studio from working on other projects Furthermore the reason we are getting The Answer is it's WAY smaller and also directly cannon to the main Persona universe instead of an alternate universe where FEMC is from.
70 usd + 35 for The Answer. P3 already had all set, story, design, setting. All they did was recreate it in a better engine. There is no excuse for not making a DLC for Kotone. Wanna talk cannon? What about the fuck ton of spin offs not cannon they made? There is an audience for Kotone as a MC, they just don't care at all. At least the modders are really good and dedicated. What bothers me is the pricing, Royal has a fuck ton of new things added, for 60 usd.

Persona 3 originally launched at the then standard $50 USD, which in today’s money is equivalent to about $75. Persona 3 FES launched half a year later at $30, which in today’s money is equivalent to about $43. So if you bought the original P3 back in the day, and then had to buy FES because you wanted The Answer, you were paying almost $120 USD in today’s money. Persona 3 Reload standard edition plus the Expansion Pass costs a total of $104.98 USD and has way more content before even including the rest of the DLC.
If you want her social links, then it's gonna be a whole new game and they need to actually make some modifications inside the original game files and upload it to another site so people can download it. But that's theft from the side of Atlus and they'll press some charges

They just said it will be at the very end of the scope of this mod project as they don't know for sure if they can make custom animations, custom events and maps(especially for Rio's social link as she introduces two new location that isn't even in the game)

The team for P3P Femc cutscenes has decided to take P3R’s Femc cutscenes as well. The biggest problem is the 3d animation right now.
I want to see the Social Links and her other story changes, like Akihiko/Junpei in the hotel and Shinji's (not) death. That will definetly take time.

@@crimsonchaos7224That’s actually not the problem. They want to customize ALL animations. They’re just in the process of figuring out HOW to. Once they figure it out if it’s possible the plan is to replace all cutscenes properly.

It's incredible, there is still a lot of room to improve, but it looks good for now, I think what they have to do is keep working on the drawings, they still look quite strange, Furthermore, and the game does not use drawings, they are all Makoto renders, except the one that appears when choosing the dialogues

Not only does this mod bring FeMC, but also enables all the yuri fantasies while eliminating Ken as a datable option. This is literally THE best FeMC experience.
This is very promising. i was skeptical about this project in the past but it's clear that the team has a better grasp on the future of the project and where it needs to go. I still have issues however. some art assets will have to be remade (like her portrait) and some of the animations used here look ridiculous. overall tho im looking forward to where this project is headed

They’re actually implementing her naginata and are making multiple versions for it! It’s been in development for a week or two now and multiple 3d modelers have been working on figuring out how the animation process would be with it as well.

kotone being a pedophile is canon, the fact it was made an option in the previous game means that kotone would be accepting to doing it, thus making her a predator.

In an interview with one of the devs, he stated that " it pains me to say this, but as much as we want to add the FeMC route in the game, it would cost us almost the same amount of times as making Persona 3 Reload, and delaying the development time to release it in time"

The pink in the UI is way too... overbearing? Like, its oversaturated in some areas and way too bright as well. And yet, its way too dark in other areas. The color shades in general are just all over the place.
It's still have a long way to go but, FeMC fans still going strong 💪

One thing I still find extremely noticeable though is how dead the eyes look on her in-game model, although I don't know what exactly is causing it to seem that way. I think it's missing some reflections? Either way, hoping they get to that in the next update one! Also is there a way to support the dev team financially??

Honestly, with how much progress has been made already with this Mod, it infuriates me that Atlus didn’t want to do it themselves. It just goes to show how much the fandom loves Kotone, and how much Atlus just sees her as an afterthought after using her to sell copies of Portable.

Not sure how possible it is, but replacing the linked episodes with the original male social links might not be too hard. Then you could either just use text or the old voice lines. Although with more social links youd either need new days(you could probably remove the random week where you get sick to start) or youd have to remove others(which probably isnt best). And obviously not super sure how you would handle the whole October 4th incident, Extra characters, and other events as well

The only thing that I really noticed was minor clipping issues with the skirt at 8:57 but other than that this is really really good work! Absolutely fantastic! The modding community is always out here completely blowing me away.
What would be pretty cool is that for if someone is playing Japanese Audio, they use the FeMC voice from P3P. So it would be similar to both P3R where the English Cast is new while the Japanese Cast is the same.
Also weird fact I found out:
Originally in P3, the voice actress for Elizabeth shares a voice with another character within the games.
For English, it was Mitsuru, but for Japanese, it's Chidori

I know this is overcharging, but if one day this has FEMC social links this will be my favorite fan work, I grew up playing with FEMC and it's sad that Atlus publicly admits that they didn't do this because of money, I would pay this game at full price if that were the case, but now I prefer not to play it, thank you for the work of the fans in trying to make this real

I have the ps5 version and as much as i would like to get the pc version just to try this out, I'd pretty much be giving atlus money for something the modders made, which would be eggregiously unfair
Gonna be honest here i had no interest in reload as the original game gives me my fix... But this will. A refresh of the same story but with a different p.o.v a slight difference in execution... This is a reload worth the bullets.

Changing skin and UI can be done pretty fast (certainly not that easy, but it's not something that will take months just to get done), though fine adjustments may take some time.
I'm waiting for the cutscenes especially the anime ones as well as every social links, including "Shinji doesn't die", and other different lines

They’re making it where you can pick which all out cut out you want the most. Multiple artists have made different versions and you can install which version suits your taste the most.

Does anyone know why the modeling errors are happening, because I thought I had an idea when the first look came out, but I still don't entirely understand.
1. What's up with the idle animation when she's standing still outside of the Dark Hour?
2. Does the hair have physics, or am I just not looking close enough?
3. Why does the ribbon in the portraits and the menus not work? I thought the models in the menus were also custom, but do they actually function off of the actual model?
4. Her skirt and body posture in battle, where the upper part of her body is connected to the lower part where it looks like a round skirt held up with hoop wire or what's it called, can that be fixed somehow, or is that also based of Makoto's model for some reason?
All in all, art and music look good, so waiting for the day this mod extends to absolute control of the game.
To everyone saying "WoW ATLUS is sooo lazy for not making FEMC when modders have done it in no time" All modders have done is changed colors, music, model swap and add some new images its not the same as if ATLUS had to do it. New VA for FMEC, a MOUNTAIN of new dialogue exclusive to her interactions with people, her own exclusive Social Links and probably Link Episodes as well, whole new Scenes, Brand new music as well as remixes of her old tracks, adding the ability for Spoiler-Kun to live, New animations for her, new weapon class and her own wardrobe of outfits And probably more. They would have to make the same game a second time for crying out loud, FEMC is cool but the amount of work and not to mention delays it would take are not worth it, if you wanted FEMC at launch for example this remake probably would be out in 2026 and as DLC it would keep P studio from working on other projects Furthermore the reason we are getting The Answer is it's WAY smaller and also directly cannon to the main Persona universe instead of an alternate universe where FEMC is from.
70 usd + 35 for The Answer. P3 already had all set, story, design, setting. All they did was recreate it in a better engine. There is no excuse for not making a DLC for Kotone. Wanna talk cannon? What about the fuck ton of spin offs not cannon they made? There is an audience for Kotone as a MC, they just don't care at all. At least the modders are really good and dedicated. What bothers me is the pricing, Royal has a fuck ton of new things added, for 60 usd.

@@ksyluer The fact of the matter is that video games in the US have not kept up with inflation, and as a result are actually slightly cheaper than they were 20 years ago. Persona 3 originally launched at the then standard $50 USD, which in today’s money is equivalent to about $75. Persona 3 FES launched half a year later at $30, which in today’s money is equivalent to about $43. So if you bought the original P3 back in the day, and then had to buy FES because you wanted The Answer, you were paying almost $120 USD in today’s money. Persona 3 Reload standard edition plus the Expansion Pass costs a total of $104.98 USD and has way more content before even including the rest of the DLC.
There are some things that need to be done such as adding more music but overall, a pretty solid mod right now.

That is outside of the scope of this mod, unfortunately.
If you want her social links, then it's gonna be a whole new game and they need to actually make some modifications inside the original game files and upload it to another site so people can download it. But that's theft from the side of Atlus and they'll press some charges
@@corasundae the modders didn't say they wouldn't do it. They just said it will be at the very end of the scope of this mod project as they don't know for sure if they can make custom animations, custom events and maps(especially for Rio's social link as she introduces two new location that isn't even in the game)
Honestly, I think Atalus missed a golden opportunity here. If they kept the female protagonist and did what this mod was doing, it be perfect!
I still haven’t finished Reload ^^’ I just can’t get invested in Makoto’s perspective; to each their own, but Kotone makes P3 work for me, I couldn’t be more excited for this mod’s progress
