  • "The Horten H.IX, RLM designation Ho 229 (often called Gotha Go 229 due to the identity of the chosen manufacturer of the aircraft) was a late-World War II prototype fighter/bomber designed by Reimar and Walter Horten and built by Gothaer Waggonfabrik. It was the first pure flying wing powered by a jet engine[1].
It was given the personal approval of German Luftwaffe Reichsmarschall Hermann Göring, and was the only aircraft to come close to meeting his "3x1000" performance requirements, namely to carry 1000 kg of bombs a distance of 1000 km with a speed of 1000 km/h. Its ceiling was 15,000 meters (49,213 ft).[2]
In recent years it has become commonplace to describe this design as the first aircraft to incorporate what is now known as stealth technology.[3] but this is not the case, since the primary aim of the Horten brothers was to create an aeroplane that eliminated as much parasitic drag as possible, thus employing a shallow flying wing design. This relied heavily on experience gained with tailless gliders tested since the mid-1930's. However, there was an intention to introduce anti-radar measures that were not part of the initial design."

Alkuperäisen videon loppuosan spekulaatiot muiden mallien olemassaolosta on täysin hävitetty tältä videolta.

I am certain the first time these things showed up over Britain or in the Bomber streams the Allied airmen would be reacting with a startled WTF. If they survived the meeting.
This is just another place the Germans had too little too late. Thankfully.

How would they not survive the meeting? This thing was a bomber without any guns.
1/3 of the three test flights crashed!!
