all i use for carp is corn and bread weightless. i uncrust the bread. i spit in the middle of the bread and throw a couple pieces of corn in it. and it mashes into the same sticky consistency works every time. its cheap, reliable. and all i do is throw some corn and bread crust as chum. alot of people over think carp. you dont need all the fancy stuff, in fact if argue any carp of 40 pounds has seen it before and will shy away from it. especially pressured areas like everywhere in jersey where theve seen it a thousand times

I apologize for commenting twice on this video, but at least it’s not an instructive essay on how to catch a carp. A few years back, I remember watching the show “River Monsters”. Jeremy Wade chronicled the history and wonder of fishing for Wells Catfish. At the end of the episode, he travels to Spain to investigate an area where Wells Catfish have been released and left to grow in size. Imagine how fun it would be if Spain allowed anglers to fish for them. It was outlawed when the show aired originally.

The first time I fished in Alabama, We were night fishing for cats at night. Heard a thump in the boat as we passed under some trees. It was a rather large cottonmouth. This was in the late 70s. Never had the desire to go back.

When it comes to preserving pack bait, you can always freeze it. It dries out a little bit after thawing, but it keeps it from going rotten. Just add a little bit of water.

And it still looks like Tennessee is trying really hard this year to be a football team. Still got scheduled to go though. Stay safe bud.😊

  • @johnknotts885

There has to be a way to rig the rod holds up, maybe get someone to bend you some iron or heavy aluminum plate to match the bend of the kayak, then you can bolt that to the kayak , then attach rod holders. Just a thought

Justin you made a comment about certain rods getting hit when it comes to fishing for carp. I don't know what it is but I've experienced the same thing no matter where I fish. It could be a 30 foot difference in casting locations and the same rods will keep getting hit. It's really weird 😆
