When Allah and His Messenger are more beloved to him than anything else; and when being thrown into the fire is dearer to him than going back to disbelief after Allah has saved him from it.”
This is my note from this class: When the Ayah directs to our Prophet and Allah tells him that they left you standing and went for the Caravan, He mentions that by addressing the Prophet (SAW). We as a listener feel a sense of guilt that we leave something so important for such trivial matters of the world. We are causing pain for our beloved Rasulullah (SAW) by doing these. Our Prophet (SAW) is not hurt because we are going away from him, he is hurt cause we are going away from the Dikr of Allah and hurting ourselves. The Quran claims that what you hear is more powerful than what you see. This is an entire philosophy in the Quran. The Quran makes us hear about our reality, and our eyes are making us see our reality. What we hear about reality must overwrite what we see. We see other people succeeding but we heard from the Quran that real success is obeying Allah and His Messenger and fearing Allah and being conscious of Him. Our worldview has changed because we heard the Quran.

They left U standing -Walking away from jummuah is like walking away from the prophet ﷺ -'you' to 'they' shift. 1: cuz Allah didn't want to humiliate the companions . The word they is a degree of speration. And it's also ambiguous. Not directly pointing at a particular sahaba. 2 times nabi ﷺ was told to speak in this surah 1 to the bano Israel Now to speak to us (muslims). Zaroo. Tarakooka Zaroo was leaving something of no value. But nabi s.a.w is of HIGH value, that's why Allah used taraka. (It means to leave) Fadh (when dirt is like a rock but u press it and it breaks) (when u shatter glass infidadh) (breaking of glass) It's like Allah describing jummuah as a gathering and then they broke. This thing broke them and they dispersed like a broken glass. (In it ishara that u were causing pain to prophet cuz these things (breaking) causes pain) -they saw trade, khutbah is about hearing. Quran's claim is what u hear is more powerful than what u see . U see something that other people see as succes but because of what u heard from Allah's book, u know that's not succes, your world view opinion is impacted by what u hear. The hearing overrides the seeing. The seeing is polluting hearts and hearing restores it again Yatloo .. is about hearing and then the seeing at the end is the distraction
