How to stop Procrastinating use The Quran for Allah's Guidance - Beautiful lecture by Belal Assaad

- 1. Structure Your Day Around Prayer Times 🕌
The five daily prayers are not only foundational pillars of Islam but also natural timekeepers. Allah says in the Quran, “Indeed, prayer has been decreed upon the believers a decree of specified times” (Quran 4:103). By planning your day around Salah times, you create a disciplined schedule that ensures spiritual commitments are met, while also organizing your worldly tasks efficiently.
💡 Action Tip: Use prayer times to segment your day into blocks. Schedule high-priority work tasks for the early morning after Fajr when your mind is freshest. Plan lighter tasks or breaks around Dhuhr and Asr, and family time or relaxation after Maghrib and Isha.
2. Prioritize Your Tasks Using the Sunnah Method 🌙
Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) taught us to take advantage of our time before we are occupied by other matters. He said, “Take benefit of five before five: your youth before your old age, your health before your sickness, your wealth before your poverty, your free time before you are preoccupied, and your life before your death” (Narrated by Ibn Abbas and reported by Al Hakim). This Hadith highlights the importance of prioritization and urgency.
💡 Action Tip: Each morning, list your tasks and prioritize them based on urgency and importance. Use whatever you're comfortable with to categorize tasks into four categories:
Urgent and important
Important but not urgent
Urgent but not important
Neither urgent nor important
3. Implement the Pomodoro Technique with a Twist ⏰
The Pomodoro Technique, where you work in concentrated bursts (traditionally 25 minutes) followed by short breaks, aligns well with the natural rhythm suggested by intermittent periods of worship. Adapting this method can boost focus and prevent burnout.
💡 Action Tip: Work in focused, 25-minute intervals followed by a 5-minute break to make Dhikr or perform a brief prayer, combining productivity with remembrance of Allah.
4. Utilize Technology Mindfully 📲
In an era where digital distractions are rampant, using technology wisely can significantly improve how you manage time. Apps that limit social media use or block distractions can help maintain focus during work or study sessions.
💡 Action Tip: Leverage apps like Tarteel for Quran memorization and review during breaks or as a start to your day, making productive use of technology in enhancing your spiritual practice.
5. Conduct Weekly Reviews Inspired by Muhasabah (Self-Reflection) 📋
Muhasabah, or self-reflection, is a practice highly recommended in Islam. It involves reviewing one’s actions and intentions to improve oneself continuously. Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said, “The smart one is he who judges himself and works for what comes after death…” (Tirmidhi).
💡 Action Tip: Dedicate time each week to review your schedule and assess your productivity levels. Reflect on what tasks were completed, what weren’t, and why. Plan adjustments for the following week to better align your activities with your spiritual and worldly goals.
Enhancing time management as a Muslim is not just about increasing productivity but also about enriching your spiritual life and making the most of every moment as a blessing from Allah. By integrating these techniques into your daily routine, you can achieve a balanced, fulfilling life that honors both your worldly duties and your faith.

FROM SAHIH BUKHARI - VOLUME 3, #432
Narrated Abu Said Al-Khudri that while he was sitting with Allah's messenger we said, "Oh Allah's messenger, we got female captives as our booty, and we are interested in their prices,( TO SELL ) what is your opinion about coitus interruptus?" The prophet said, "Do you really do that? It is better for you not to do it. No soul that which Allah has destined to exist, but will surely come into existence." SO MOHAMMED THOUGHT RAPE WAS OK AS LONG AS THEY EJACULATED IN THE PRISONER ??? YOU FOUND AN EXPERT
Ironically I'm procastinating watching this. But this is good procrastination :) If you're going to procrastinate, it's better to procrastinate in study or prayer :) May Allah bless you.

i always thought about this, for me it’s not strange because i was born and raised in muslim country, i always thought what is like to hear the recitation of the Quran as non muslim. i would terrify if i didn’t know. by the way the most important thing is what he is reciting “the meaning if you can understand”

This is important message, sadly procrastination is a reality bitter truth, time management is important, but these days we work and some company has less work life balance, working long hours, not that we like long hours work, and shorter family times
اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ عِلْمًا نَافِعًا وَرِزْقًا طَيِّبًا وَعَمَلًا مُتَقَبَّلًا
"O Allah, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, good provision, and accepted deeds."
Allahumma inni as'aluka ‘ilman nafi’a, wa rizqan tayyiba, wa ‘amalan mutaqabbala.
I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this while doing the dishes.
As soon as it started I hopped up and got right to work. All I typed in the search bar was lecture and you weren't far down the list. I feel blessed and like you are a sign on the way towards the "right" direction.
I am an American white girl whose family is not particularly religious. Although they did send me to an all girls Catholic high school.
I was naughty in high school. I partied and did drugs. Didn't pay any attention in religion class until the professor told us she dated Jim Morrison. Skipped mass constantly or was listening to music under my beanie or sleeping.
I'm 40 now, about to be 41 and I could go on with the mistakes I have made. Don't get me wrong. I don't doubt God. Though I thought simply perhaps "god is everything".
I remember when 911 happened. I was transferred from juvenile to jail on my 18th birthday which is Aug 29th. I was rudely awoken early in the morning by the guards to a blaring tv in the common room. I watched it over and over and it really scared me. I got out the next day and had my mom take me to pick out a study Bible.
I have always had the intention of also reading the Koran and the Torah. I'm just afraid I'll miss out on some critical comprehension on a deeper level if I do not also speak Hebrew and particularly Arabic.
Also I was targeted by power beyond comprehension and really feel like I lived through the rapture.
I must write down my experience.
I should probably do that before I get to actually reading all of those texts.
I think that is going to be my goal for this year. Read those 3 carefully and write my experience of the previous years at least.
Anyway I saw a lot and heard and felt a lot along the way. Shadows and ghosts and holographic seeming projections of sorts... as well as sparking blue spirits, when I called out for Allah I saw hands in prayer flash by overhead in gorgeous bright sparkling blue.
Jesus didn't respond to me, that I know of (I really thought we would have been buddies!)😅 Most likely he did speak to me and he just sounded unrecognizably stern and condescending.... Cuz I have been naughty. I've got it coming.
I'm terrified to die. I used to see it as a "brief reprieve from the unbearable lightness of being".
I called out to SO many deities over the years. Being so uneducated and SO scared.
Like why is this happening to me?
But surely it is happening to everyone.
I must have a relationship with "God".
I must repent!
I must say prayers of gratitude!
Constantly ×3
May Allah grant us Jannah al firsaws

I have a story my grandmother told us.
It was a very rainy night this person who was traveling from a town to other town he couldn’t find a place to stay so he knocked a door of a person who his wife just gave birth to a little girl. So the traveler noticed his name was written in her forehead. The traveler thought of himself, how that can happen looking at the age difference she just born so he tried to kill this new born girl he did and he thought it happened. So he ran away. Years passed. The girl didn’t die she became a beautiful woman, and some how the man heard about her and he sent a family member to ask for her hand. Since he was a very good person with good status so her father said yes.
They got married. When he saw her scar he questioned her when she said the story. He said Alhamdulillah what Allah already wrote your destiny you can’t change it no matter what. I learned a good lesson from this story. I love it 🤲🏻
