Have you seen the locals call the wind? Not just in Siquijor or the Faith healers but the local Filipinos on countryside. Maybe one time you may witness them calling the elemental/nature spirits unconsciously on your travels😉 Enjoy your Trip!

i just want to say as a filipino-american that i really appreciate this video so much! it was very respectful and educative. i've been trying to learn about diwataan (indigenous filipino witchcraft) but unfortunately most of the videos and resources i come upon are in filipino, which i wasn't taught. i'd love to see more content like this. thanks for your curiosity and for fueling mine. salamat ✨
We're glad you enjoyed the video. Siqujor really stood out as a special place to us. It still remains our favourite island we have ever visited. Alot of people from around the Philippines were scared of the island and we kind of felt drawn to find out why. 😊
I really love your vlogging style. Very calm, unhurried and respectful. Thing is, with other vloggers who want to cover so much they just whizz past locals with fake/superficial interactions, sometimes speaking too fast not giving enough time for the locals to process their accents, and come up with a good response.
Thank you 😊 We are glad you enjoy our style. One of The main reasons we travel. Is to interact with local people. We also like to take our time as we get to experience way more 😁 We also try and learn some of the language of each place we visit.
Thanks for featuring the Lazi convent. You two are the first vloggers, that I've seen, to feature that religious relic. Is it an active convent with religious sisters residing or more or else converted to a museum? You've got great cinematographic skills. Was that intentional to feature the two polar ends, a convent on one end and a mystical "witch's" place for healing on the other end?
It was a happy coincidence. Apparently the healers on the island claim that their powers come from patron saints. They seem to be Christian also. Most of the building was turned into a museum of sorts but we did see children being educated in another house of the convent 😊
Re: islands and places to visit, I just watched 2 videos by the Millenial Legends, an engaged American couple who featured their 6th month engagement and stay in the Phil. They featured Dumagete City on island of Negros. I bet you two would love that place. I suggest watching 2 of their videos: 6 months in the Philippines and their video on 3 Waterfalls adventure. Good eating and water adventure.
We spent one day in Dumagete when we extended our Viza. It is a really cool city. 😊 We are passing through there in a few days to head toward Bacolod and Iloilo island 😁
There are people who can really heal, they are called healer. I believe in those because we know people when I was a kid who has a gift of healing. This lady maybe one of those.
Alot of people on the island really believe as well. We spoke to many people who have visited her and say they got better. So she is doing something right 😊
@@LostKnox oh I see. At least the environment has changed. No longer that kind of eerie feelings with full of trees, dark as no electric lights, and secluded, distant houses etc. 😂. 👍. Those stories the old time was so scary that even if we’re in another island we feared. 😂.
No, I don't believe the power of the healers. It's not my thing. I thought the fish were interesting though. Glad you're enjoying your trip. Looking forward to the next vlog.
We agree. At the end of the video I explain that we don't think it is fair that they are called witches 😊 Siquijor was our favourite island in all of the Philippines 🇵🇭
If you're practicing Christianity or even if not but you're baptised as a Christian, it's not encouraged to consult with people practicing as such. That is prohibited in Christianity especially by the Catholic church.
Do you believe in the powers of the Healers in the Mountains?
I believe in God

Nice one mate. Still the best island for you two?
Best we have been to so far. We still have a lot of islands to visit in future though 🤣
Witch craft and wizardry,
Hope the love potion 🧪 works for chilli 🌶️
Great video guys keep them coming
Thanks Lee.
I'm sure if chilli gets any luck with it he will let us know 🤣🤣
Chili is a funny guy!
He is isn't he 🤣
she's a healer nothing to afraid of... but witches are dangerous to encounter..
She was lovely. We didn't want to find one of the other witches.
Best not to mess around with those sorts of things 😬
Holyweek in siquijor is more powerful vibes
😊
Siquijor is number one healer in the Philippines.
We really love it here. 😀
There’s a beautiful beach there called kagusuan….yes mytic healers works only if you believe ✌🏼🇫🇷
Thanks for the advice we will look up Kagusuan beach 😁
#blackmagic
don't leave without trying chicken afritada!
We will try it 😁
I heard too much about witches in Siquijor since young. Some were about the practices in witchcraft but how true. I don’t know.
People definitely practice it here.
But the island is still beautiful 😍

We are having the best time. We have 4 more days on this island before we move on to new places 😁
Welcome to Hong Kong Shanghai Shenzhen , my country is China
You guys werent scared?
We were a little nervous to begin with. But when we met Annie we realised how lovely she was 😊
How much did it cost with the faith healer?
The faith healing was free of charge all she asked for was a donation. We also bought an amulet and a potion from her as gifts for people 😁
Dont stand below a coconut tree.
Its was outside the door of our guest house and it fell as she was leaving 😊
@@LostKnox well... the mystic power worked. Hahaha
😅
In the USA, you have to pay for the fish to eat your feet dead skin.
You have to in the UK also 😅
Don't say witches, have you say them turning into a witch? others might think it's a creepy place😠

We wanted to experience this as a cultural event. We do not necessarily believe in the healing 😊
