I love various color scraps I did something like this on a jacket I made on the bottom and sleeve cuffs, I zig zag stitched over all the seams with black thread made it stand out more too. You could sell those beautiful masterpieces you made love the colors you used it will look gorgeous on your bed etc
Hi Stacey Thank you for stopping by. I had a great time on the Guy Who Sews Live today. I’m so happy you commented . I already am a subscriber of yours, I really enjoy your channel 😊
@@sewandquiltwithaprilsawtelle You did a great job on the live with Sean. I have never done a live chat before with another UA-cam channel, but I will be on his channel in April. I don't have any UA-cam friends, let's stay in touch, and maybe do our own live chat one day soon 😊
@@sewandquiltwithaprilsawtelle That would be awesome! Tomorrow's video is a slightly different format we are trying out to get more retention for the first 30 seconds. Hope to chat with you tomorrow 😊
Thank you! it’s amazing how many looks you can give a quilt by just a few swaps of colors. I was going for a orange yellow one. Thank you for commenting and thanks for watching…😊
I love it , crazy blocks scare me just wildly putting things together 🤯 I like the 70 x 70 size , I always feel lap quilts are to small for people I know . I need to move you to the tv ... I feel a binge coming on ;) take care 💟 You're awesome to watch!!! , (edit) back I couldn't find you on my subscription list, that explains why I didn't get this notification. I honestly don't know if it was me or YT . I fixed it though , sorry about that . NOW to the tv with you LOL
Lol Thanks Colleen Glad your watching, and happy its all fixed. I wasn’t notified when you went live today so I missed it. I’m gonna go see why too….Mabey I didn’t check on the bell 🔔 😊
Do you have the video showing how you did the borders, put it all together and did the binding? I am a visual learner, I need to see it to learn. please and thank you in advance for a reply.
ua-cam.com/video/4vZWFFwgal8/v-deo.htmlsi=7C4Wa-mR4OE3qOlg Good morning Here is a link for the binding I will get back to you on the borders. I will look through and check to see if I have one. Thank you for watching! 😊
Yes I have. There are several techniques to do this. I have only really done it a couple of times on very small quilts. I’ve never done it on a big one one. Do you do QAYG?
Yes I do........... I always do a really good tug test and if it doesn't break, then I'm good to go. I must say there are some that don't make it ..........Thanks for watching😊
I tried the tug test on my new & old threads. The Aurifil 50 wt cotton which is supposed to be the best for patchwork, breaks easily in my hand every time. But not so the older threads. I've not had a problem with old fabric holding up. I use them both and am glad I have them.

Did you know that your old thread might be too old to use? Thread doesn’t last forever.
