They were doing the sequel. In fact there is some sketches of development on internet. But do you know what saw Disney? They wanted to make freetoplay mobile games, and they decided to close the studio. Fuck Disney!!!
There is not going to be a sequel per say. The company that made this in 2009 went out of business. But a different company could possibly,y try to make a sequel of some sort. But since it’s been so long and the game is so underrated, it’s very unlikely.
Apparently the developers have a new studio as part of Hangar 13 and they said they're working on a new unannounced AAA game. Here's hoping it's somthing as awesome as split second

We NEED another game like this One. Is still super fun
its really one of kind game. dont know why there is no sequel till now :(
***** that means also there will be no new game like PURE :'(
frnds4evernever The developers are not making videogames and nothing. What a pity
Here's hoping it's somthing as awesome as split second
when I hear this when I am in 8th place, I reach the end in 1st place
SWAG
iTzBurrzyBoii you can say that again
Jeremiah Mendez dude you really right
7:05 I usually came at this moment in game.
I'm coding a game inspired by split second, listening to this puts me in the right place :)
Name it split second 2
I m proud the racers are still exist1😎😏
@shampoo touch gaming its on steam as early access. Lots of progress since my comment, but development is slow at the moment.
@@DethKwok what's its name?
@@BurnedDruid11 project closecall, check my playlists
This game did everything right. My first video game I've ever played was this master piece. The twist and turns on port bridge. Raptor coming out of nowhere to get the win. The plane crashing on airport. This game needs a remaster but sadly Disney is as always....... not the best company. I still play this game to this day because I love living childhood memories.
Maybe it's just me but does anybody else feel like the song is talking to you? With how it goes from slow, and quiet to loud and fast then when you're done it's like "rest up the race is over... for now."
Silent Soul Ken SSK first lap:ehh nothing is like just try to get first place
Second lap:Get first or u will lose
Last lap:HOLD THE FIRST PLACE!!!
last elite race 💀a beautiful ending
sound more badass that overwatch
Ok Overwatch is pretty epic but this is amazing
This is the fucking best highspeed-theme ever
Man I wish this game had more attention. The petition seems to barely get anything and I really really wish there was a sequel.
I love this game soo much and this was really my first racing game and is still my all time favorite to this day
Best racing game to this day in my opinion
Best arcade-type racer without a doubt. Fabulous, simply unique game.
same here honestly, good things never last do they?
@@tommy_14 yes, such a shame they never continued the franchise
The amount of goosebumps is unreal. The deep rooted memories just flowing.
This game is so underrated.
5:30 coming up to the last lap you hit a power play taking down the dam taking out everyone one pushing you up to first you get a 6sec lead you can smell the finish line with only a few turns left and then power plays start going off left and and right you look bk 7:00 and the entire pack is up your arse you see the last turn you pull off the best drift yet pushing for the line 7:40 WINNER!!"
Just played split second today and I've been having the time of my life racing in the elite gt12
Every struggle that you win in this life needs to be celebrated on this song!😎
Talk about creating that will to win, and win in style 💙
Still awesome, we NEED a sequel
It's been a long while since i played this game, and i was just now listening to this. Saw your comment and decided to sort of 'follow' the soundtrack with it. Race summary brought back amazing memories, first lap kicked in, epicness ensued, started smiling. Second lap i was full on head banging, final lap, i was just grinning like a mad man the whole time. Elite races were fucking amazing. And as i type this i'm listening to it again :)
To this day I will NEVER forgive Disney for closing down Black Rock Studios before the teased second season was released.
I swear this game permanantly changed my brain chemistry in some way
Returning to this game makes me think they let me, as one of the old champs, back into the Split/Second sets to pitch a new pilot to another network. A guy can dream, right?
Oh my god, the nostalgia.

Concuerdo amigo, el juego de mí infancia y el mejor de los que jugué de carreras. Debemos firmar una petición para que esta canción sea el himno de la F1 jajaja
5:34 eargasm
Always told people (playing on ps3) "this button is the fun button" "fun button?" *Smiles deviously as I look at the airport* "yes, the fun button. Better drift hard"
I’m gonna use this
Just hearing this music, I can imagine all the explosions and action
One day there will be a Split/Second sequel..I wish might new developers hire employees and start working on Split/Second 2. New locations, new cars and also competitive opponents and rivals except the LIVE WIRE AND VIXEN
That is what everyone wants, the problem is that the studio that made it, was closed by Disney, so we need to hope for a miracle to see a new company who is disposed to make a sequel of it.
If anyone can beat the elite races in the elite gt12 you have my respect because your a outstanding driver
Corbetti User here.
I like more drift n handling than strength n top speed (but without depreciate these ones lol)
One the special flat-body car
Top speed is everything with this car only weekness is the firestorm
One of the best games I've ever played, accompanied by one of the best soundtracks ever.
AAAAH the good memories this song is so good
The last race was definitely the hardest took me about 10 tries to get 1st
It took me 5
Split Second and Blur are the most underrated racing games of 2010. This is just sad that we never got Blur 2 and Split Second 2.
One of the games I finished from start till the very end, till I won every single race despite it being quite hard. Blowing up the helicopter was rewarding as hell. This game had a soul.
My most favorite moment was me and two friends sat down and completed this game together from the elite races to the numerous challenges you can do it really is a shame we never got a sequel. :(
Best song eveerrerrrrrr
Somebody knows who is the mastermind behind the soundtrack? in my opinion this game has one of the best ost ever! , full of action and suspense, i dont know how to explain it with words, you have to feel it yourself.
I know this is 9 months late but I agree with you on so many levels! I love how the game's sondtrack is dynamic and the flow changes with each passing lap.
According to dr Oetam the soundtrack was composed by Marc Canham who also composed the OST for far cry 2
When I hit the route switch on downtown: What street is he taking? He’s not on a street, he’s flying on rooftops! Who is this guy?
It's Vixen!!!
