      Thank you! They're my go-to frog now. Solid construction & a better value than most brands. Plus the bass flat-out stomp 'em. 🎣

    3.5 lbs on the random cast in the middle of the lake on your way home 😂 I love it! Great content as always I was happy to see a new one up so quickly!

      Thank you!!! It got too windy for the frog. I caught a bunch on that chatterbait but they were all small'ish. I've got a backlog of videos to edit. Some good stuff coming up. Always appreciate the comments!

    Love seeing this . Thanks Mike. Yeah these fish been shredding our Skipper Toad.
    To improve the keeling on the bait allow it to sink for 4-5 seconds as it hits the water . It’s hard to wait that long but if you do the bait will right itself belly down and keel correctly

      @flipflopfishingAZ  6 місяців тому

      Yw! They're really fun to fish.
      I did notice the baits would right themselves if I let it sit still a bit but it didn't really seem to matter if they were right-side up or not. I was able to hook up on nearly every bite.

    I became the great Bass Fisherman I am on Horseshoe in the middle 80s.Giant Crappie,my first 10lb Channel( Ichtalarus Punctatus), My first Smallies. There’s ancient pottery on Pottery Hill.500+ yrs old. Hotsprings at Sheep’s Crossing.The Zara Puppy topwater worked best for us.

    Mike, I’ve been binge watching your videos since I came across your channel. They are really good and it’s neat to see some one else using BFS. It’s also intriguing on where you can get into that I can’t with my bass boat. Very tempting.
    I’ve been using Phoenix ML rods for BFS because that was all that was when I first got into BFS. But they are really wimpy. What are you using ?

    • @flipflopfishingAZ
      @flipflopfishingAZ  3 місяці тому

      That's awesome! Thanks for watching!
      Good BFS rods that don't break the bank are hard to find, especially in my preferred configuration (7ft, one-piece). I currently have four BFS setups. My first rod was a Shimano Sensilite and it's still one of my favorites and has caught tons of big bass. However, they have been discontinued.
      I also have a Dobyns Sierra Ultra Finesse BFS rod which is still good but my least favorite due to the high number of rod guides (way too many in my opinion).
      Two of my rods are from Old18.com, a rod maker out of Texas. They change their lineup all the time so the two I have are no longer available but you can view their current BFS rod lineup here: old18.com/collections/bait-finesse-system. Great rods for the price!
      I'm really happy with all the BFS rods I own. I've put every one of them to the test and they have all held up really well.
      I mentioned previously that I use Kastking reels. These are pretty much budget BFS reels. I'm slowly replacing the Zephyrs with the Kestrel. Nothing wrong with the Zephyrs but given how often I fish and how much I use them, they don't hold up very well before needing to be replaced. I just got the Kestrel and really like it a lot. It's smoother all around and seems to be built from better material.
      Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any more questions. I love talking about fishing!
