I could imagine this being used as an opening for a Klingon based Star Trek show. A huge fleet of Klingon Warbirds coming over the horizon of a Red Dwarf, slowly encroaching the camera.
"What is that dreadful noise?! It sounds like a Bardakian pronghorn moose!" - Omag (otherwise known as the Fat Ferengi), in response to Worf's and Amarie's singing in Klingon
One time I came into work and for some reason one of my bosses was playing old Viking funeral music on his boombox. I listened to it for a second. With a big grin, he asked me what ai thought of it. “That sounds like the engine room of a Klingon Bird Of Prey set to music.” His look said it all. WTF?
Oh, man--could you pretty please add English-translation captions? I JUST got into Trek and I haven't learned any Klingon yet. Even though I don't understand it, it still feels so _powerful_ and fierce! The voice of the singer is outstanding. Subscribed--can't wait to see more!
I don't get why people think this is what Klingon Opera sounds like, we have heard Kilingon opera in episodes, it's more like actual opera than you think.
Absolutely. This is the grand opening theme! It will be properly juxtaposed against more intimate scenes. I am trying to create new instrument sounds that Klingons might have favored that may have evolved from the battlefield.
I'm having trouble locating a person fluent in Klingon to translate my libretto. If anyone has a person in mind please feel free to contact me through my channel.
@@TroyPacelli i never recieved a notification that this comment was made. Now it's a year old. Hooray UA-cam! .....any chance you would still offer up those contacts? Email me at pdxvoiceteacher@gmail.com
@@PDXVoiceTeacher I'm as surprised as you are - totally forgot about this. Sure! First, and best, place to start where you could reach the largest number and most fluent Klingon speakers is the Klingon Language Institute. You can throw out your inquiry/request here: www.kli.org/questions/ Thomas, actually, I'd do that first. I would be surprised if that isn't all you need to do to steer you in the right direction. However, if after doing so, if you still are looking for a specific person, send me a direct message. I can put you in touch with the people who have translated songs for and with the Klingon Pop Warrior.

Wish skillful opera singers would do an actual entire piece like that!
There have been entire klingon operas performed by actual opera singers. You can find videos of them on UA-cam. They're pretty great

Srsly. How do I contribute? Dough? Or help build wooden trumpets?
He like, posted a link to donate above.
I *wish* Trek had expanded on Klingon music. We get war songs but after so many Klingon Opera mentions, we deserve more of that too!
Hell, I would pay much Money to get more of this.
Beautiful. Always thought it would make a good final act / confrontation scene in the opera.
