Omg ‼️My man just told me you were the “Ahole “ In The Movie “Slingblade “‼️ You were awesome in that role - I mean I don’t know your music I saw a woman singing your song G&C on “Smule “ (karaoke type app) so I wanted to see who you were ... Also my little band (just two guitarists & Myself ) are working on some covers & I really like this tune !!! So I guess I’m a late Yokem Fan...God Bless you & the ENTIRE BAND !!!! All you guys sound awesome form the DRUMMER to the Back up Vocal Guy/musician & love those clothes you all are wearing !!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🌺❤️🌺💎👏🏻💎🎧🎧🎧🎤🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎻🎻🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁🇺🇸🇺🇸🆒💯☮️✝️ Faymus 1-17-18
When I tell people I like all genres of music , but no country that came out after Dwight. For me, This Time is up there with Stevie Wonders’ Songs in The Key of Life
Dwight Yoakam had been in the game, for what like almost 40 years and he still sounds as great as he did back then...plus he can still rock those skinny jeans!
Wow me too. I'll bet Dwight really likes all that drunken confusion. 😕 🤪 He's never even tasted alcohol. That's what gives country music a bad name...thinking that drinking n bar stupidity is somehow cool. Get serious. 🤡
That was one of the best recordings I have heard, that guitar player and Dwights older voice just made it great! That guitar player is the stuff for sure, glad they let it come thru that bold
1:09 is classic when he turned to the drummer and said something along the lines of, "We need the fiddle". Maybe his fiddle player couldn't make it that day. The guitar work was was top notch on this performance. I'd like to see the full 1 hour show.
You're correct. He hasn't toured with a fiddle player since he split with Pete Anderson & released Blame the Vain in 2005 and revamped his entire band.
He does tour with a fiddle player. The keyboard player does multiple duties... Keyboard, fiddle, steel guitar, accordion, and some percussion. He's a very talented musician. I just saw Dwight this week. He still has it. Best concert I've been to.
banjozach Definitely. Just saw him a few days ago. He has a small band. And that guy does keyboards, pedal steel, fiddle, and i think he mightve played harmonica or mandolin for a song i think.
Not complainin' - just noticin' - the fiddle's gone by the wayside. I think he motions to the keyboard man that maybe he could imitate one in there. Just a guess. This is a nice rendition, but check out the one from Austin (quite a few years earlier; the thumbnail's usually close to this one, over by the side). He does a DIP with his voice in the very first lines of the first verse - you gotta hear to believe!!
Dwight is responsible for me giving country music a shot.. he is trully a great vocalist and musician..

His voice is one and only of its kind. Like John Fogerty. He's still got the moves too, ladies go crazy when he plays live. Lol

Love the Duane Eddy-inspired guitar playing!!! Certainly takes me back.
The real deal the guy who has been an ambassador for country music for over 45 years. A true historian in every single way.
That was one of the best recordings I have heard, that guitar player and Dwights older voice just made it great! That guitar player is the stuff for sure, glad they let it come thru that bold

Dwight almighty, loved him for so long
Dwight Yoakam has a real lovely voice that fluctuates in ups and downs of his voice and bakes him different from
The rest of singers he is unique
I think Dwight is so intriguing, supremely talented and deliciously private.

Jason Carpenter he doesn't have a fiddle player anymore.
Or at least he didn't the last time I saw him in concert.

Nice j-200 Gibson elvis style
Dwight is unmatched especially with the "Bakersfield sound". A perfect blend of old country, Tex-Mex, and non-rock country.

Does anyone know the make of dwight's acoustic he uses in this video? It is gorgeous!
Anybody know the name of the guitarist?
That dude is shredding!!
🤩
Eugene Edwards - I've seen him live playing with Dwight and he's ridiculous.
C'mon Linda, you don't have to do anything but pour chips in a bowl and bring ice out when we get low!
What is the exact model of Gibson he's using? Is it a Custom SJ-200? Really love that pick guard..
Fucking Dwight yoakam. Still got that badass swagger. Lol
