The main value I find in airsoft comes from its two extremes -- hoofing for miles and sprinting for metres. It lets me test my gear with what amounts to a patrol load. Surprisingly the kit I've found that works best for me is a modified ALICE concept using an H-harness and my own extremely advanced and sophisticated pouch retainers (bent pieces of wire, two per pouch, which secure into a standard width 3-hole belt. Revolutionary technology, truly!) Besides that, airsoft is also just plain fun and lets me enact my deepest darkest power fantasy as a procedurally generated eastern European arms dealer.
I just love your Airsoft videos, there are way to many gun channels that do the range stuff and many airsofters that just do kill montages I think you find a great middle ground for both communities to learn and grow. Keep it up, big chimp energy is just captivating. :)

I’ve been playing Airsoft for 23 years. Been to Recondo school and played Airsoft with Josh and Brian back in the day. And also graduated Basic Recon School put on by the Marine Corps Historical Association. You bring up a good point about Airsofters stalling. I tell my guys…. “Fire without movement is a waste, movement without fire is suicide”. The other big one I see is rear security. Airsofters wanna be in the middle of the action. And if the action is somewhere else, they will lose interest in holding their own fire sector and basically set up the whole squad to be flanked and annihilated. I’ve tapped guys on the shoulder before. Diversions work well in Airsoft. I’ve had 3 spine surgeries and just had open heart surgery. My days of sleeping on the ground are over….. otherwise I would be out there with you guys! Great job!👍👍👍
See this kinda stuff is exactly why I want to get into milsim. I squad lead once at a milsim light event and I wasn’t able get much of anything done mostly because I didn’t realize just how much you gotta yell at you’re dudes for them to take action, been practicing getting guys to take action at local skirmish games in prep for the new warsportnw wa vs Oregon civil war event and it’s honestly a blast. Dudes actually love taking orders takes em from aimless to playing with purpose and drive and it works great!

We had a pretty big talk on this on my local field, The teaching of arm signals and communication, moving as a team, being aggresive in movement makes me all tingly, it will certainly do a difrence in future milsim/wood skirmishes as this training will build confidence in both them selves and in their teammates. But fighting a force that knows they won´t die and respawn makes most infantry tactics somewhat uselss. Going Indoor CQB for an example, slicing the cake, stacking up and so wont do squat against an overhyped teenager with a gun that knows he respawns when he get shot. So people are much more prone to take risks :P but after all, it´s just fun and games. But winning is more fun ;)

Great stuff. I wish I could attend. I feel like these events would be excellent practise for ODA's to come out and "train" the local indig's on small unit tactics. When I was in basic training our company was used for this exact purpose. I felt sorry for the SF guys trying to "herd the cats" and train a bunch of kids that had never been in the field😅
Very interesting thing to see other people do. For 7 years I have been going to Berget (Sweden) and the last year I was leading 120 people, 3 vehicles and 2 IFVs. Next year it will be more infantry and more vehicles so I'm preparing myself more because I do feel I miss some of the basics. The organisation structure to get all the people in communications is my strength. My platoon commanders take care of therir squad leaders and they take care of their fireteams. The whole team will be around 500 people strong, fighting against 500 baddies. So it's going to be an amazing game again. The game goes on for 66h with almost no night time (not getting dark there). The physical and mental thing it does with you is crazy and to keep the whole group going is a key task for me. So yes, I will be using some of your ideas and pass them on to my Platoon leaders.

That LDA crossing was strange if I was the enemy I’d probably just wax you all whilst you are messing about in the road. Over here we keep the section in a single file deeper into the woodblock concealed and a small team goes forward to “open/close the gate”, watching either side of the road. The section remains in single file getting through that gate as quick as possible.

I was very wrong😢. I ended up being bumped up to an SL right as the game started, and it was NOT what I was expecting. It was humid and I had a gen 2+ tube that fogged, aka unusable lol. Ended up being 1st squad, and of course, 1st squad is first in the order of movement. Uk that a TL is the point man, but I ended up being point as the SL 👀. I just tried to relay and follow what dbs was saying/doing. He was giving arm signals that I could obviously see, but my entire squad, it was their first event too, and none of us had nvgs. I was tryna just whisper shout to em lol. We were ALL over the place. Which was a bruh moment, cuz I asked the two army dudes if they know the ranger handbook, or even patrols. I only got a yes for patrols, but its understandable for them to be confused in the moment, as our squad was just trying to assume what to do cuz its foreign to them. I only had time to write a squad wedge on paper and try to explain really quick to my squad. My two civi buddies that dont know a lick of any mil tactics, understood perfectly. When we got out there, dbs just said to put em in a wedge. So I told em to do so. I felt bad, but time was of the essence, and I had to run to each person and put them in place 😭.
We get to our spot and dbs said to put em in an ambush over there, lol. So here I am tryna do it as realistic as possible, bounding 😂smh. I want to reiterate, my TL’s knew absolutely nothing and everyone looked to me for every q&a/command. Which is fine and doable, cuz they just dk and will continue to look to me cuz TL’s arent fulfilling their roles. Again thats fine and understandable, we’re literally all brand spankin new, and a few was their first time playing airsoft. Shit in runnin around w a tshirt-ballistic helmet with comms-atacs fg pants, chest rig-backpack- and a p* #mistake. I havnt played airsoft for probably 4 yrs, and then I was a speedsofter. Anyway, we’re at our orp and I thought we didnt have time to go over a hasty linear ambush… So I pick dudes up and place em one by one and givem sectors of fire. Im sweatin bullets, damn m-frames r foggin (how do u stop the fog? 😵). Our mission was to be bait. I didnt think of that at the time… I thought we were literally just early warning cuz theres not shit we can do against nato with thermals,nvgs, and their tanks or whatever. Like dafuq 👀. I told my guys, “i really dk what we’re doin”. At this point we’ve been waiting like 45mins. Ig nato was late… Every dude in my squad is callin me over to say they see legs. They werent wrong… Dudes were just randomly walking the ao… I told PL when he came walking to me thru an open field. At this point I was like bruh..what is this. Idfc anymore, what is this lame pretend shit… Then he says to move a kid up to a shack for some reason. So I tell that army dude that ig hes our early warning and if u see a tank, run back to us. A vehicle comes down the road w brights on. Im naturally blind ash. Ig this kid is too maybe. He comes back frantically saying a tank is coming fast and im like well shit what r we gonna do? kill a tank 😐? So we all sprint asf back to our orp. Then we see its just a normal admin car… Now im really like dude wtf is this dog shit ass game… R we live? R we supposed to play realistically? idfk and my care level shoots down. PL is just walkin everywhere, so I tell my dudes “idk wtf is going on. sorry i got u guys playing like its real life. apparently its not that serious. we’re up against dudes with thermals, nvgs, and tanks… and we’re all new with just our eyes. At this point just do what u want, just let ur TL know if u wanna talk to me”. And of course, no one used a TL, ever. Again is understandable, but is still a bruh. They were still seeing heavy movement and telling me every second. PL comes over again and tells us to go back out to the road and form an ambush again. Ik PL and dbs feel like theyre baby sitting, cuz they were lol. Props to them tho for sticking w us. 3 armored vehicles and a shit load of dudes start flyin down the road shooting… What do we do? Break friggin contact. We all dead if we dont.. So we’re all frantically sprinting to the railway opening, and we’re told “what r u doing?! get back out there!”. Um hold up, pause, rewind, play. U said what? Uh roger that. Instantly overrun. None of us have nods, again, we cant see each other. PL says run this way and points to where rusfor started the event, and then says to hop in the woods. Again NO ONE could see anyone, so we all just start runnin. Bb’s r flyyyyyyyying like crazy. I freakin swan dive into all the thorn bushes in a t shirt. Shit literally caught me. I was stuck head to toe… But uk, gotta keep goin. So im ruuuunning and ramming my way thru, gettin all cut up everywhere. We’re all scattered in the woods, I think. Then dudes start getting hit by the waves of bbs. So we get out of there and try to run back more, I instantly get naded like the dude cooked it or somethin. Landed at my feet and exploded. I get tq’d and continue running. Some of us run back into the woods where rusfor started, the rest like dbs and PL run inside. Now we’re hiding. They know we’re in there and they start lighting people up. Doc and I r looking at nato butts that r looking at the railway. We almost shoot, but we were pulling that ghost recon breakpoint shit where the dude lays sideways and puts stuff on em with his gun aimed a little. A nato runs up to us. Bing bang blow. He sat down and we chatted a bit. One of his buddies come to revive. kaplow. ded. he said “aww i thought u were on my team” (he dk i was there, he saw his buddy and thought doc was dead too on his team) a little too loudly. Then a saw of bbs rain down on me from a distance. I think only one hit me tho. Docs still alive.. Nato come to revive their dudes. The 5min bleedout is up. I stand up and so does doc. Hes having a full blown convo w this dead-now alive nato guy, about anabolic steroids and to look em up on yt lol. I said “ur still alive”. He goes “yup haha”. And thats it. He just played it off like he was dead and came w me to the respawn. The medical building was somethin else man. Pitch black without nods. I was walkin around w my hands in fronna me. That was a little fun, but theres only 3 of us here.. no clue where the others went. Now we’re with ur plt i think. I started playing very very casually at that point. Ended up walking the entire ao 2.5 times with our rucks just trying to find our guys. coms wasnt working, or out of range or somethin. Ended up finding 3 dudes from a different plt chillin in a building and they radioed dbs to grab us. Someone had a traumatic event, thats y we got split up. Sleepy time rolled around. Uk we have 0 authority… I cant tell someone to pull a shift… All it takes is a no or a yes and not actually do it, so im like “ok” ig im stayin up.. The fireguard made 0 sense. When it was time to sleep, only thing I grabbed was my woobie. I thought we could get raided and absolutely bent over… Ig not… In the morning, we only had 4 guys left in our squad… From medical and just leaving. Then the whole medic thing didnt exist anymore, so he came w us (my buddy). It really was just a tdm now. Some dudes in my squad would peer off without saying anything. So it was compleeeetly fuck it at this point. It was just me and my buddy, clearing empty building after empty building… It really did get boring.. Ooo yay, killed like 5, i think gmr, dudes in the villiage in cqb. Yay 😐. Everytime I got enemy coms, I reported it. Just got “ok” back. I just assumed they got em or it didnt matter.. A good portion of the day was just me and my buddy doing whatever and completely poooooopin on sleeping nato in the rail way. All day. Docs gun went down and i gavem my glock. We used a moving porta potty truck to conceal our movement into the railway. Literally just walked in and popped SO many dudes with their backs turned. Guys were running away from me cuz we were flanking. 8ft from me just running the wrong direction loll. Then we just spoke with nato dudes for a good 15 mins just cuz. Until one had a stick up his youwho for no reason. I think it was some mayhem guys and polish. One dude said to another “where tf is ur helmet” “o i uh just left it cuz i was sleeping” “get it next time”. Like ew weirdos wtf is goin on over here, want sloppy while ur at it king? 🤮… Nato did one big push. We were runnin around, first off, where r dudes brains at…? Y tf was I leading the offensive defense… There was 0 aggression or surprise is what im tryna say. I sprint across map to the building across from the one nato was pouring into. Im outside with a black long sleeve on, green chest rig, atacs fg pants, and an atacs colored helmet, facing the enemy… Im about to have the greatest one man flank of all time recorded. plink* ONE bb to the backpack… I turn around and look at the friendly that just shot me-wearing a green backpack and very identifiable rusfor camo.. I just look at em for a sec and then just lay down in the street. Very disappointed.. Just dont w this bs. I just took out a full squad of guys indoors cqb-no grenades-many thrown at me…Then run HELLA far and fast to get the jump. Just to get plinked by a teammate… Idec how much i get shot at this point. Let the tank zipper me for all I care. Im goin back to ruck and eat the lunch that my buddies and idk my plt had hrs ago…. Then we consolidated. We’re just gonna leave. Nato is being held back, and when they come out, some bs happens anyway… I felt SUPER bad telling PL that. My buddy has to get back to Job Corps anyway. We were cutting it extremely close for this event. He woulda got in deep shit for being back late. Then this fat fuck SL said “i just like this for the suck”. My guy what suck? They want accurate infantry training? Make them do battle drill 1a a million times over and over, promise them trans, make them wait hours and hours, then cancel trans and make them ruck all the way back. Sprinkle in some smoke sessions and other miscellaneous BS in between all of that. Oh yeah ,and make them show up and wait 6 hours before drawing weapons. Love that.
What I found out is that no matter your age/ experience, if Noone knows what to do, people will follow the one who gives orders first as long as they *seem* reasonable
The main problem training with airsoft is that the bbs are much slower than even semi-unition. You have to lead more, which transferred over to a real rifle would make you prone to leading your shots too much. Also the recoil.
I'm looking into getting into airsoft but unfortunately in my area/island it's a dying sport and my country requires an airsoft license and painting the firearms florescent yellow or red. It cheapens the experience and where I live the woods are very dark green and brown.
I saw administrative results videos on this first (sorry)... But do they integrate things like 3rd party countries that have confederates and non confederates mixed in? Do they do anything with the idea of PMCs and have different rules of engagement? I ask in a non-topical way, that has *nothing* to do with current world events Because a half polish guy would never care about such things... But I am legitimately interested in those ideas in a full milsim airsoft match... As to how it would be handled and if a certain side would have "IDGAF" rules vs the other side... Just questions and maybe random food for thought for whoever reads this comment

Watched this before Caspian Assault, thinking it was gonna be a straight up FTX 👀.
I was very wrong😢. I ended up being bumped up to an SL right as the game started, and it was NOT what I was expecting. It was humid and I had a gen 2+ tube that fogged, aka unusable lol. Ended up being 1st squad, and of course, 1st squad is first in the order of movement. Uk that a TL is the point man, but I ended up being point as the SL 👀. I just tried to relay and follow what dbs was saying/doing. He was giving arm signals that I could obviously see, but my entire squad, it was their first event too, and none of us had nvgs. I was tryna just whisper shout to em lol. We were ALL over the place. Which was a bruh moment, cuz I asked the two army dudes if they know the ranger handbook, or even patrols. I only got a yes for patrols, but its understandable for them to be confused in the moment, as our squad was just trying to assume what to do cuz its foreign to them. I only had time to write a squad wedge on paper and try to explain really quick to my squad. My two civi buddies that dont know a lick of any mil tactics, understood perfectly. When we got out there, dbs just said to put em in a wedge. So I told em to do so. I felt bad, but time was of the essence, and I had to run to each person and put them in place 😭.
We get to our spot and dbs said to put em in an ambush over there, lol. So here I am tryna do it as realistic as possible, bounding 😂smh. I want to reiterate, my TL’s knew absolutely nothing and everyone looked to me for every q&a/command. Which is fine and doable, cuz they just dk and will continue to look to me cuz TL’s arent fulfilling their roles. Again thats fine and understandable, we’re literally all brand spankin new, and a few was their first time playing airsoft. Shit in runnin around w a tshirt-ballistic helmet with comms-atacs fg pants, chest rig-backpack- and a p* #mistake. I havnt played airsoft for probably 4 yrs, and then I was a speedsofter. Anyway, we’re at our orp and I thought we didnt have time to go over a hasty linear ambush… So I pick dudes up and place em one by one and givem sectors of fire. Im sweatin bullets, damn m-frames r foggin (how do u stop the fog? 😵). Our mission was to be bait. I didnt think of that at the time… I thought we were literally just early warning cuz theres not shit we can do against nato with thermals,nvgs, and their tanks or whatever. Like dafuq 👀. I told my guys, “i really dk what we’re doin”. At this point we’ve been waiting like 45mins. Ig nato was late… Every dude in my squad is callin me over to say they see legs. They werent wrong… Dudes were just randomly walking the ao… I told PL when he came walking to me thru an open field. At this point I was like bruh..what is this. Idfc anymore, what is this lame pretend shit… Then he says to move a kid up to a shack for some reason. So I tell that army dude that ig hes our early warning and if u see a tank, run back to us. A vehicle comes down the road w brights on. Im naturally blind ash. Ig this kid is too maybe. He comes back frantically saying a tank is coming fast and im like well shit what r we gonna do? kill a tank 😐? So we all sprint asf back to our orp. Then we see its just a normal admin car… Now im really like dude wtf is this dog shit ass game… R we live? R we supposed to play realistically? idfk and my care level shoots down. PL is just walkin everywhere, so I tell my dudes “idk wtf is going on. sorry i got u guys playing like its real life. apparently its not that serious. we’re up against dudes with thermals, nvgs, and tanks… and we’re all new with just our eyes. At this point just do what u want, just let ur TL know if u wanna talk to me”. And of course, no one used a TL, ever. Again is understandable, but is still a bruh. They were still seeing heavy movement and telling me every second. PL comes over again and tells us to go back out to the road and form an ambush again. Ik PL and dbs feel like theyre baby sitting, cuz they were lol. Props to them tho for sticking w us. 3 armored vehicles and a shit load of dudes start flyin down the road shooting… What do we do? Break friggin contact. We all dead if we dont.. So we’re all frantically sprinting to the railway opening, and we’re told “what r u doing?! get back out there!”. Um hold up, pause, rewind, play. U said what? Uh roger that. Instantly overrun. None of us have nods, again, we cant see each other. PL says run this way and points to where rusfor started the event, and then says to hop in the woods. Again NO ONE could see anyone, so we all just start runnin. Bb’s r flyyyyyyyying like crazy. I freakin swan dive into all the thorn bushes in a t shirt. Shit literally caught me. I was stuck head to toe… But uk, gotta keep goin. So im ruuuunning and ramming my way thru, gettin all cut up everywhere. We’re all scattered in the woods, I think. Then dudes start getting hit by the waves of bbs. So we get out of there and try to run back more, I instantly get naded like the dude cooked it or somethin. Landed at my feet and exploded. I get tq’d and continue running. Some of us run back into the woods where rusfor started, the rest like dbs and PL run inside. Now we’re hiding. They know we’re in there and they start lighting people up. Doc and I r looking at nato butts that r looking at the railway. We almost shoot, but we were pulling that ghost recon breakpoint shit where the dude lays sideways and puts stuff on em with his gun aimed a little. A nato runs up to us. Bing bang blow. He sat down and we chatted a bit. One of his buddies come to revive. kaplow. ded. he said “aww i thought u were on my team” (he dk i was there, he saw his buddy and thought doc was dead too on his team) a little too loudly. Then a saw of bbs rain down on me from a distance. I think only one hit me tho. Docs still alive.. Nato come to revive their dudes. The 5min bleedout is up. I stand up and so does doc. Hes having a full blown convo w this dead-now alive nato guy, about anabolic steroids and to look em up on yt lol. I said “ur still alive”. He goes “yup haha”. And thats it. He just played it off like he was dead and came w me to the respawn. The medical building was somethin else man. Pitch black without nods. I was walkin around w my hands in fronna me. That was a little fun, but theres only 3 of us here.. no clue where the others went. Now we’re with ur plt i think. I started playing very very casually at that point. Ended up walking the entire ao 2.5 times with our rucks just trying to find our guys. coms wasnt working, or out of range or somethin. Ended up finding 3 dudes from a different plt chillin in a building and they radioed dbs to grab us. Someone had a traumatic event, thats y we got split up.
Sleepy time rolled around. Uk we have 0 authority… I cant tell someone to pull a shift… All it takes is a no or a yes and not actually do it, so im like “ok” ig im stayin up.. The fireguard made 0 sense. When it was time to sleep, only thing I grabbed was my woobie. I thought we could get raided and absolutely bent over… Ig not… In the morning, we only had 4 guys left in our squad… From medical and just leaving. Then the whole medic thing didnt exist anymore, so he came w us (my buddy). It really was just a tdm now. Some dudes in my squad would peer off without saying anything. So it was compleeeetly fuck it at this point. It was just me and my buddy, clearing empty building after empty building… It really did get boring.. Ooo yay, killed like 5, i think gmr, dudes in the villiage in cqb. Yay 😐. Everytime I got enemy coms, I reported it. Just got “ok” back. I just assumed they got em or it didnt matter.. A good portion of the day was just me and my buddy doing whatever and completely poooooopin on sleeping nato in the rail way. All day. Docs gun went down and i gavem my glock. We used a moving porta potty truck to conceal our movement into the railway. Literally just walked in and popped SO many dudes with their backs turned. Guys were running away from me cuz we were flanking. 8ft from me just running the wrong direction loll. Then we just spoke with nato dudes for a good 15 mins just cuz. Until one had a stick up his youwho for no reason. I think it was some mayhem guys and polish. One dude said to another “where tf is ur helmet” “o i uh just left it cuz i was sleeping” “get it next time”. Like ew weirdos wtf is goin on over here, want sloppy while ur at it king? 🤮… Nato did one big push. We were runnin around, first off, where r dudes brains at…? Y tf was I leading the offensive defense… There was 0 aggression or surprise is what im tryna say. I sprint across map to the building across from the one nato was pouring into. Im outside with a black long sleeve on, green chest rig, atacs fg pants, and an atacs colored helmet, facing the enemy… Im about to have the greatest one man flank of all time recorded. plink* ONE bb to the backpack… I turn around and look at the friendly that just shot me-wearing a green backpack and very identifiable rusfor camo.. I just look at em for a sec and then just lay down in the street. Very disappointed.. Just dont w this bs. I just took out a full squad of guys indoors cqb-no grenades-many thrown at me…Then run HELLA far and fast to get the jump. Just to get plinked by a teammate… Idec how much i get shot at this point. Let the tank zipper me for all I care. Im goin back to ruck and eat the lunch that my buddies and idk my plt had hrs ago…. Then we consolidated. We’re just gonna leave. Nato is being held back, and when they come out, some bs happens anyway… I felt SUPER bad telling PL that. My buddy has to get back to Job Corps anyway. We were cutting it extremely close for this event. He woulda got in deep shit for being back late. Then this fat fuck SL said “i just like this for the suck”. My guy what suck? Ur sleeping bag in a concrete building? 💀💀💀 my man… U think im quitting cuz its hard or some shit? This shit was lame asf. Some parts were cool and fun, sure. 80% bs tho… Dont u be lookin at us like quitters. Thats like me turning off my xbox cuz im bored and being called a quitter. 😐👀💀. Being around weird fat fucks that dislike vets and have no brain, actin like theyre hot shit cuz they got cool gear and know people, had me tilted lowkey. PL was still cool abt it tho. Do I regret leaving? Nah. Do I regret going? eh not rlly. Do I regret spending the money? Debatable. I dm’d dbs later cuz i felt bad for abandoning his plt as an SL. He assured not all events r like that and I believe em. Ik there were just complications this time. The straight shot 11hr trip and money just was debatable in saying if it was worth it. I’ll be givin it a go again at Fern Glen. Luckily only an hr.5 from home.

They want accurate infantry training? Make them do battle drill 1a a million times over and over, promise them trans, make them wait hours and hours, then cancel trans and make them ruck all the way back. Sprinkle in some smoke sessions and other miscellaneous BS in between all of that. Oh yeah ,and make them show up and wait 6 hours before drawing weapons. Love that.

The main problem training with airsoft is that the bbs are much slower than even semi-unition. You have to lead more, which transferred over to a real rifle would make you prone to leading your shots too much. Also the recoil.

Idk about you but my mindset changes depending on the weapon in hand. So none of the shooting transfers for me
I'm looking into getting into airsoft but unfortunately in my area/island it's a dying sport and my country requires an airsoft license and painting the firearms florescent yellow or red. It cheapens the experience and where I live the woods are very dark green and brown.
Using bayonets was a step to far.
I saw administrative results videos on this first (sorry)...
But do they integrate things like 3rd party countries that have confederates and non confederates mixed in? Do they do anything with the idea of PMCs and have different rules of engagement?
I ask in a non-topical way, that has *nothing* to do with current world events
Because a half polish guy would never care about such things...
But I am legitimately interested in those ideas in a full milsim airsoft match... As to how it would be handled and if a certain side would have "IDGAF" rules vs the other side...
