    A thing I would note for new players when it comes to kit. Your footwear, sleeping bag, and wet/cold weather gear is more important than how cool your kit looks. Do not bring a 40F sleeping bag to a 25F event. You will quit the event and we’ll laugh at you. There were a lot of people at Salsk with tacticool gear that quit before they even saw an enemy player.

      We left because our poor excuse for a platoon leader lead us the wrong direction for miles then though it was a good idea to set up camp in a thorn bush area. I got wet on on the hike in. The guy in the side by side gave me a ride for a bit. Said I could leave my ruck on side by side till we got to camp. 4 hours latter I am wet and cold. When I ask my cadre to help locate my pack. He thought is was more important to yell at me and insult me that I did not have my pack rather that make shure I was safe by being dry and warm.
      What really topped things off was my gun getting stolen.
      I came as militia and it was a real bummer being comanded to do nato type movements and patrolling.
      Basically this event was an excuse to dress up fancy but everything must be ran nato style.
      Laugh all you want but I did not pay to hike over 6 miles and camp in thorns and be verbally abused by a fuck stick that would never talk to anyone like that out side his bitchass group of buddies.

    pro tip for the future type 56 chicom user: instead of using regular ak mags in it, replace them with 40 rounds RPK mags, they'll be long enough to be picked out easily without risking them falling out, also you go from 3X30 rounds to 3X40 so you basicaly gain one more 30 round mags worth of capacity for virtualy the same weight and space.

    for a beginer gun i think it's safe to recomand the CYMA AKs they won't be as tough looking as an LCT, but they're performances out of the box are very good for how they costs especialy if you're playing militia and want a super minimalistic set up on it. for my last milsim event i took a very basic cyma AKMS for 200$ and despite a bit lacking in the range departement (i downgraded the power since i knew i would do a lot of CQB) it was very constent and reliable.

    I would like to throw in a hat in a ring for beginners that are doing Rusfor/Militia. Alot of people (even me when I started) would over think alot when making a kit. If you are doing militia, I usually go more outdated yet effective set rather than had a fancy gear like you see in COD. For example, I use a WW2 SSCH40 helmet. It is not a fanciest headgear compare to other modern headgears, but it adds the creativity of the gear because the purpose of militia is use outdated/surplus items yet make sure you last over the weekend. Even simple as a wool blanket or Chicom vest (like the video) will work for Militia.

    My two cents on russian 'recce' kit...
    The newer ratnik LBE's (6sh112 and 116/117) are also a good option for a more modern look, kind of an evolved 90's LBE .
    You can still put your pouches at waist level like on the Smersh but also get molle coverage on the chest and back (only on the 116/117's).
    It might not be as comfortable when rucking compared to the Smersh, but haven't tried it with anything else than an assault pack.

    • @severerisk1581
      @severerisk1581 Рік тому +3

      There's a little bit of nuance to the whole rusfor Recce loadouts. Since a big chunk of the Rusfor players tend to do impressions based on actual units, the gear tends to follow what those organizations sourced personally or agency wide. For the Ministry of Defense units like Army, Naval Infantry etc, the issue 6sh11x family is a good choice since it's in their pipeline. But also bear in mind that Smershes and other gear were also used by them as well. If doing a GRU recce loadout, you see stuff like TT mk2, as well as modern plate carriers and micro rigs domestically made in Russia, this also goes for any Gru subordinate units. Now if we talk about the Alphabet agencies, then the MK2 from its various makers and incarnations really come into its own, but depending on model it can be anachronistic as they went thru stages of evolution (similar to how the US SF changed over the course of the 90s into GWOT). These units also extensively use Smershes and other harness gear. But the 6shxxx gear wasn't part of their supply chain with some major exceptions in the border troops and other random units here and there with one offs that guys either brought with themselves or inherited thru stuff being surplused out and moved to other agencies. For folks getting into Rusfor kit and joining up with teams or chapters of teams this info matters more. For militia guys, I do agree with the chicom but I'd give bonus points to guys rolling Vydras, V95s, lifchiks, and handmade rigs made from cut up backpacks and canvas 4 cell ak pouches grafted to each other a'la afghan/chechnya era. Even older 6sh92 series gear are great militia rigs due to their commonality and being readily found in actual militia use

    • @javiermolla1811
      @javiermolla1811 Рік тому +5

      @@severerisk1581 Yeah, I always found all the RUSFOR gear world interesting, and usually guys take much more well-thought approaches when making a loadout (NATO/west loadouts here in Spain are usually just a mix of the cheapest repros the nearest airsoft store had in stock).
      At the same time it kind of puts a bigger entry barrier into the RUSFOR world, as there can be a lack of information on how to build a legit kit that looks the part but won't break the bank or require a lot of digging around for doing a correct impression of a particular unit.
      Might need to do a video about it :D
      P.S. Totally agree that homemade or whatever-pouches-you-had-around-sewn-together style rigs have some really cool factor.

    • @severerisk1581
      @severerisk1581 Рік тому +4

      Yeha the rusfor crowd actually has more in common with the reenactment community than with general nato/airsoft. There are strong efforts to portray units and individual kits accurately down to the smallest detail. Some teams have authenticity standards to adhere to. I do get that in some places ots hard to get gear like this. Some parts of the EU like Spain don't have very many people who attempt to build detailed kits. But I do know a couple collectors and kit nerds in Spain who did go through alot of effort to build their kits. It took them a while to complete their projects but the results were worth it. Main thing is to just be patient and constantly hunt for folks selling off stuff here and there. As for accuracy, it's generally a common practice to troll military history forums, reddit, and older online communities to get reference pics and get a starting point. If you first know what you are looking for and at then it's easy to hone in and proceed.

    i am quite agreed with "computeur" things. i run an AK12 second gen, without the PE system: i wanted to make a warfet plug and play on it for a better reactivity (on an airsoft already very fine) at the end of the day, the replica does not shoot anymore... i put down the warfet, shot like a dream. I had made mounted a gate titan on an ak74, it does not wanted to pass semi to auto: that make it all semi one time to another, no matter how i set up it. OTHER things with optical triger; when it comes to humidity or the grease on the gearbox, liquid can blind the stuff make it impossible to "see" your trigger pull... so now i am very suspicious with mosfet; In general, a good motor and t dean do the things, and i am not a semi spamer as well

    Unfortunately I do not follow your suggestions for AEGs or Airsoft Guns. But I want to leave a little comment for your suggestion for airsoft guns.
    Firstly always go with those "computers", that you did not recommend, so called EFCS /MosFET. There are several good systems out there for example Aster Titan/Gate, Perun Hybrid, Airsoft Systems ASCU. The reason why you want them is that you have first a Mosfet. This thing controls that every shot is indeed applied with the trigger pull. If you go with the old switch assemblies, you will get your gun very fast to a gear jam, especially in semi. The reason for it, is that you either pulled the trigger to fast, or your battery pack has too low voltage. If you are outside, temperatures will influence the power your battery pack can output, which impacts highly the chances for gear jams. The other reason you want an EFCS is that you want it to check your battery voltage or loading capacity. They automatically shut down if your battery is on low voltage. Thereby stopping gear jams at all and you will not damage your battery pack. Everybody who has seen a LiPo Battery explode or take fire, knows that this is important too.
    The next thing everybody wants to think about is a non standard nozzle. Take the same length as you have in the gun. Just use one with double o ring. Manufacturars like EPES and Begadi provide these one, I can not speak for good US suppliers. A stable FPS output will automatically result in a stable accuracy as the fps fluctuation impacts the hop directly.
    In standard E&L has a 6.04 mm barrel and this one is perfect. If you get a tight bore barrel with 6.01mm you will risk a chance of raising the rub of bbs in your barrels. This can impact the accuracy and might one day get to a barrel jam, full with bbs. You also do not want to use the old 6.08mmm barrels, they are indeed too wide.
    In general I have heard talks about that E&L is also manufacturing real firearms near to their airsoft manufacturing, especially AKs, these are chinese ones. So in general if anybodys looks for fitting real parts on their gun, they might want to take E&L as they have the least fitting to make. This might also apply to LCTs.
    In general if anyone gets a feel of what brand stands for what manufacturing type (cheap gun, price performance gun, gucci gun), it might get easier to get around in airsoft. For example LCT, E&L might be no brainers, but in general I do not know any brand that will not take a fixing hand one day, the price of the guns is just too low and they are made for playing not high daily use or ultimate reliability like military weapons.
    Cyma might also be a look. Check if the current "blue" gearbox is inserted in it. These internals are pretty good for the price.
    Do not take a look at manufacturars like A&K they might have some nice unique guns, but the also have not updated their internals since the mid 2000s.
    If somebody wants markings here in europe the company is named Vega Force Company or VFC, I think for US it is cybergun or EMG. The problem with these guys is, they build really nice body parts. But the internals are near shit.
    For plastic body kits always take a look if fibre is part of the body. You do not want ABS. Unfortunately many P90 have ABS, and some body are made well and think, but these are exceptions.
    Very important note, everything I said applies to AEGs. GBB might for some companies be very different, like VFC with their Glock and Sig Air Series, they are pretty good. Always remember to use the correct gas type for each temperature.
    If you allow I can recommend one airsoft youtubers, he is german but has subtitles and has indeed a very good knowledge on what might be reliable and what not.

      I’ve been face shot by a UTM while in Ranger Batt, not fun . Still have the scar on my face lol.
      It would be sick to run an event the size of MSW with UTMs. But they are just not prevalent enough to organize an event on the scale of what we can do with Airsoft. Plus in reality, a good Airsoft gun will shoot further than UTMs, and are generally more accurate. The only thing UTMs have going for them is that the firearm mechanics are more realistic (for obvious reasons). They are best used in MOUT facilities.

    Cybergun M4A1 Carbine is really good, I have it, it’s shaky and that’s a little annoying but that’s what literally any Airsoft M4 is like but besides that it’s full metal and only like $250 or $150 I kinda forgot but it shoots straight and it’s very reliable and really powerful and works every time, I had some work done to it and I still need to zero it in perfectly but it’s been winter so it’s a little hard to do and I also live in the city and don’t wanna get arrested for having a 1 on 1 exact replica, and that’s cool but not super good because mine literally looks exactly like an actual M4 and its hard for my uncle that was in the military and had an M4 for years to tell the difference, one of the only ways to find it out is to rack the slide but even then it could be confusing for a minute, but yea I highly recommend it, (if you can find it anywhere💀) yea and one thing I forgot to tell is it’s pretty rare and almost impossible to find the full metal one that I have, so sorry but I’m sure you’ll find a gun that you love too🤙

      Both brands are excellent choices for externals. Internally OOTB, E&L is slightly above and I like their gearbox better. They also have more parts you can keep. Once you modify the internals, both will do great, with LCT requiring more parts changed.

    One of the most quintessential and definitive parts in rusfor kit is portyanki (sry but if you don't use those in your loadout = totally fake and ghei). Also ruskies for recon prefer to take bare-minimum AK's because of the weight (at least that's what some of the rw ruskis told me). About load bearing stuff I can say that korpus vizhivania (srvv) is quiet popular company for such products among their sf community (also one of the oldest).
