About to go back to nursing school this upcoming Fall while still keeping my part-time job! I'll be halfway done with my program by the end of this year. Every quarter comes with new types of challenges so this theme came at the perfect timing. Taking care of myself physically and mentally, along with constantly reassessing my circle and having positive mentors in my career is key. Your guys' wisdom always helps keep me grounded. Love both of you

Whenever I hear you ladies talk about promoting the wellness of other sisters around the globe, I smile! Now let me listen! The dilemma today is such a hard one, and I am glad you both handled it well.

This message came at the right time! What Courtney said about disrespecting the boundaries we set for ourselves really rang true! I find myself often procrastinating and not doing things I said I would do and I know when my friends do that with me it upsets me deeply. But I never realized it was something I was also doing to myself every time. Consistently procrastinating and seeking instant gratification is something I was doing to myself and would feel terrible about myself after realizing how much time i have thrown away to flimsy things. Sometimes we are upset and have negative feelings about ourselves not because someone told us anything but because we consistently treat ourselves and disrespect ourselves the way we would never treat others and the way we wouldn't like to be treated by others. This message is such a phenomenal but often forgotten reminder to me to really think of myself as my friend, and show up for myself the way I would like my friends to show up for me as Courtney said. You ladies look lovely btw. Thank you for a wonderful video. Wishing you Blessings and Prosperity!

I love how both Renee and Courtney are transparent about HOW they do the work to 'glow up'. It can honestly feel people just wake up and they are 'great'. A lot of behind the scenes work really does go on, even though it may be 'cringy' you have to do what works for you

whheeewwww, another episode i'm going to have to rewatch throughout the week in order to fully digest. this was a fantastic and necessary conversation to add to the topic of leveling up. i'm so glad y'all added the points about resting and how some days we just won't FEEL like going hard in doing the work. after months of therapy and journaling like a madwoman between 2019-2020, this year i found myself emotionally fatigued to the point where the mere thought of writing (which is my first love) would exhaust me. i've been hiding from my journal for some weeks now even though my therapy assignments ALWAYS include some form of writing/reflecting (i've been using the notes app on my phone instead of my physical journal these days - it feels less intense for me). lol but i recently had the courage to write again on a topic i'm passionate about last week and now i have to extend a bit of grace towards myself for not finishing and publishing the piece i'd begun. on top of that, a book club i recently joined stirred up some suppressed emotions within me that i HAD to confront... so no more running for me lol God be knowin 🙃
i'm also grateful for the practical tips that were shared on how to map out becoming the best version of ourselves and showing up as such each day. i will most definitely begin implementing that throughout the rest of the year. after watching this, i feel a bit more ready to begin laying out my values, mission statement, and personal self-assessment. and i just might do that in my physical journal again 🥲

I am so grateful for this episode because I have been struggling with boundaries because I wouldn't know where to start and even if I did it was fear-based boundaries that caused me to isolate myself which is so unhealthy.
And with this journey of growing up, I am learning to pat myself on the back because currently I'm moving to a vision of myself and honestly that is not easy, it requires sacrifice, patience, grace, and hard work. Looking at it all yes the future version of myself is matured and strong but the current me is such a hard worker and she doesn't have it all together but she sure has a vision and God by her side and that's more than enough.

6:48 I’d also check to see if she’s been isolating herself from her family or other friends- because sometimes in toxic relationships the significant other pits people against each other.

I love this!!! I was someone that would push myself to be productive all the time and beat myself up when I wasn't until I just couldn't anymore. Now I'm learning to slow down though I must say it scares me to see how quickly I get mentally exhausted after doing certain tasks. Would appreciate some advice on that. Also you guys are sooo gorgeous. Courtney is giving me life with those nails and that watch chiiiile😍

Hey! Love the podcast...Just from a survivor pov here...maybe check in with the sister who blocked the first Q&A to make sure that she's the one who actually blocked her. If this dude is talking about drugs in front of family (on top of violating her own boundaries), it's a clear sign he's not right in the head. Problematic males are super petty. Hoping she's safe.

Unfortunately, life at some point does mean ending friendships. It's actually something that happens unfortunately sometimes as we evolve and grow. She will definitely meet new friends.
As she evolves , she won't need them for the same reasons she may have needed friends before.
She will find friends in alignment with who she is and who she desires to become.
I'm sorry it had to end the way it did, but I'm confident that she will meet new people better aligned with her space and place in life💜
It may have been a door she needed to close but struggled tot do or see.

As I listened to the letter, I thought about what her fears may be with new friends.
One, she may feel she needs to tell her story to a new set of people. And that feels too hard.
She definitely will need to make her old story not be how she introduces herself to others. Especially not in the beginning of new friendships.

This is a time I disagree with Courtney on an advice point on the dilemma. Do not reach out to her for any clarification. I wouldn’t risk your sobriety and sanity for her. I understand years of friendship but in this season she created the space she needed. I know it is difficult to breakup with friends. Give her time to process and you can leave channels open for her to reach out in the future. I would also say to be careful on trusting her as a safe space moving forward.
Also a good place to make friends is during common interests. Example: the gym, art galleries, church groups, networking events etc….
The rest of the advice was solid.
