    Thank you so much for your videos! It's so hard to find UA-camrs with relaxed hair. Please continue to share your methods with the rest of the Relaxed Hair Community.

      Jasmin Pierce when I started making these videos, I had no idea that there was such a demand and that the relax hair community had become smaller over the years.

    • @jasminpierce8341
      @jasminpierce8341 7 років тому +3

      It truly has gotten smaller but there are still a lot of us who love our relaxed hair. I really appreciate your videos and I love your accent by the way. I'm from the States so it's different from what I hear on a daily basis.

      +Jasmin Pierce lol most of my viewers / subscribers are from the States or the Caribbean. I guess it's strange to me when people say they like my accent , as it just sounds like a regular normal London accent to me 😊 UA-cam can be a wonderful tool for information and it allows people to connect worldwide. I'm just here to share what I have learnt but ultimately I'm so happy that the videos I make seem useful to so many .

    Looks so much better than wrapping the hair all the way around where sooo many people say after a long while they started to lose their edges. Can’t have that. Will try this.

    Love your videos. Very informative. How do you use the 25 milk? Daily for moisturizing?

    • @findlayco4338
      @findlayco4338  7 років тому +1

      +Sacha Alleyne I only use the 25 miracle milk on wash day. It's the first thing I put on my hair after I wash out the conditioner . It's a leave-in and excellent for detangling. In terms of daily moisture , I use a pea size amount of the Mizani spradiance then proceed with a little of the Mizani Supreme oil, concentrating specifically on the ends of my hair . Both products are light weight so it's works well for my hair type .

    Hello! I love watching your videos. I recently moved to the UK and I heard that the water will break your hair. What do you suggest? I am on a relaxed haircare journey as well.

    • @findlayco4338
      @findlayco4338  6 років тому +1

      Yes the water is extremely hard especially in cities and more urban areas. All I can suggest is a strict regiment that promotes moisture moisture moisture.... the water here just makes your hair/scalp very dry so hydration is key, also make sure you have regular trims .

    Excellent way of prepping the hair for night without the stress to the edges. Question though, I can totally see your hair growing longer because it's healthy. How will your night time routine be when you reach APL?

    • @findlayco4338
      @findlayco4338  7 років тому +1

      +June Nadir Yes I apply this method to be gentle on the edges in particular , in terms of growth and how that will alter my night routine , if I'm completely honest , I haven't even thought that far yet . This method can definitely work on hair 3/4 inches longer then mine ( just requires a larger head scarf) Any longer & I will definitely be wearing it in more protective styles. So with that in mind I feel it will involve some sort of braiding at night, which is what I used to do when my hair was longer , many many years ago ( before I became a cut addict lol )

    • @tancam1231
      @tancam1231 7 років тому +1

      They do make scarves that are made for those who wear braids/dreads or simply to keep the hair enveloped in fabric. I have one in hopes of someday wearing it. I'll be keeping tabs on your journey. Great vids you've been posting!

    I would love to get some advice from you about how to get my relaxed hair back on track because my relaxed hair is like all over I must say I am a product junkie so I buy a lot of products and I wash my hair once a week but I would love to know what products do you use that you would recommend for me to use I must say I do have dry hair dry and thick coarse hair

    • @findlayco4338
      @findlayco4338  7 років тому +2

      +Eprell Star I would recommend that you do a moisture deep conditioning treatment every 1-2 weeks . In terms of products it's important that you focus on products that promote moisture and a leave-in treatment
      Products I currently use to prevent dryness are :
      Pureology Colour conditioner
      Mizani 25 miracle milk
      Mizani Supreme oil
      Mizani thermastrength
      Mizani spradiance

      I will give them a go ta...I purchased all stuff bat the 25 milk...London may have this before us in the West Midlands as no one had it..ended up getting the shea version. Liked your air dry method as did today but don't think be I could deal with my hair on a evening so really have to make sure I'm not going anywhere on days I do this...my purse is a bit light and I was coming to YOU for a refund if I didn't like the products 😂 Amazon had the 25 milk but can't be dealing with ordering some will use this one and wait till our shops have caught up with yours. Thanks for the vids.

    • @findlayco4338
      @findlayco4338  7 років тому

      Melissa H oh I didn't realise you were from the UK as a majority of my subscribers/ viewers are American and Caribbean based. Because of that I assumed the products I recommend are accessible to everyone . I got my Miracle milk from my stylist who is a mizani stockist so maybe the regular hair shops don't have it as of yet . In regards to air drying, if I'm going out that day I air dry for 2hours then blow of the remainder of water, at a low heat so from start to finish my hair is usually complete in 3-4 hours . The miracle milk is really good ! I even tried it on my daughters natural hair this weekend and loved the outcome . The spradiance is great as well but be sure to only use a few drops as it's extremely concentrated .

    • @findlayco4338
      @findlayco4338  7 років тому

      Melissa H it's a pity mizani don't do trial sizes but if you purchased the Aveda products I used? They actually have a decent returns and refund policy plus free samples . They are usually based in shops like " house of Fraser" or larger John Lewis store 😊

    • @melissaa4168
      @melissaa4168 7 років тому

      I got the oil instead of the spray dance as you said it wasn't a heat proof...however the oil in got doesn't say 8 oil so wondered if the same or change of label however it's nice....confession though you posted 5 mins after our wrapped my hair and I put the mizani wrap set 3 puffs all over my hair then a lil both of oil all over...and wrapped only after I not you don't use the wrap set at night and you only put oil on the ends...which makes sense as mines thin I've just weighed it down in kinda come to that conclusion as soon as I did it 😭😭 oh well you live n learn..luckily I'm on holiday tomorrow so if it leaves any bits as I put it on dry hair I can re-wash.

    I don't have a problem wrapping my hair at night because it's easy for me. My problem is that is hurts my edges and scalp so much that I can't run a comb through or brush my hair without it hurting me.😣😣😣😣. Any tips or ideas on what to do ? Someone suggested the mushroom hair wrapping method. That helps the pain but my ends are sooooooo dry.... idk what to do..help.

      +Rheem Mois I tend to get sensitive edges if I wrap in the opposite direction to how my hair naturally falls . Also make sure your not wrapping your hair too tight .

      Findlay & Co thank you... I’ve tried to alternate my parting on different sides when wrapping my hair, wrapping with and without pins, lastly, without a bonnet or scarf on to try to alleviate pain it still hurts lol. I also notice the longer my hair gets the more it hurts. I think I’m just super tender headed...
      But thanks for getting back to me. I love your hair and make up!

      +nobility66 I tend to wear a headscarf when I'm in the gym and that definitely helps to retain moisture and also can work as abit of a steam/deep condition.

    will this work for longer hair?

      +Jaded you would need a longer head scarf and as someone else commented you can pin curl the very ends so they stay in place .

    I just relaxed my hair after going natural for 3 years and my hair looks nothing like yours...it has no body nor bounce....It's just dull...

      +Fonda Nesbitt oh ok, do you feel there's a particular reason why your hair has no body nor bounce and lacks shine ?

      +Fonda Nesbitt I recommend you find a good salon that can visually inspect your hair and provide advice on how to best improve the condition of your hair . My videos can give tips and tricks on how to maintain your hair at home in between salon visits .

      Should've tried the Dominicans. Wash & set with blow dry. No perm needed but that brush is hot.
