Looks like you’ve mastered stretching, your washday looks a breeze at 6 months post. I love that you use two oils one for each texture and just tension dry the roots to protect your ends. Great videos, great tips thank you 👌🏾
The tension method, love it. Will be doing it on my next wash day along with using the castor oil and jojoba oil. It’s been 7 months since I had a relaxer. Not sure if I’m going to transition.
I should definitely try this method! My new growth gets out of hand - which means it grows quickly and it's very coarse. I just hope it does wonders. Thank you! 💙
I thought the same thing about heat protectors when i read the ingredients a lot of those have alcohol and alcohol drys out the hair. A good moisturizer and oil will do fine against the heat
Great regimen. And you can do this forever even when 100% natural. Most people with long 4c natural hair use heat. I don't use heat and I've hit a length plateau.
Yeah I love the blow out look. How long is your hair? I feel like my relaxed hair always hit a plateau at APL so I hope it grows longer without the chemicals
I have been stuck at about 15 inches since May of last year. I think it's because I have been wearing my hair exclusively in 2 strand twists. This protective style grew my hair beautifully for 4 years. I think it will only help me to maintain this length but that's it at this point. My theory is that my ends now that they are approaching 5 years old are in such a vulnerable state that I am breaking off my hair as I take out and put in the twists. It is time for me to do away with the twists and use heat, but I am resisting it like the plague.
Yeah, that's how my relaxed hair was but my new growth at the demarcation line gets super tangled for some reason. I only use it once a month to clarify.
Heyyy new subbie!! I am 9 months post going on ten and I was like that too at 6 months post.. ok so far so good lol! And then I hit 8 and 1/2 months thru 9 months and Lord Jesus detangling is a nightmare lol but I am still pushing through my journey. Good luck on your journey ☺️
Ik this vid is 2 years old but I'm going to try this in my BSL hair. Scared of heat though since my hair is alway dry. I only ever use it at the hairdresser. Hopefully the jbco will help
That's why i loooove watching relaxer videos in english, I learn new methods for my hair for the horrible stretching, thanks ! (I'm french and there is not a lot of relaxer videos
I have a softer texture than yours ..and I cannot go past 3 months ..i just dnt have the patience with it + im pass bra strap length..i admire your patience..
for the few times i use direct heat on my hair i never use a heat protectant and i still retain length. Direct heat is still being applied to the hair so i dont know how the heat protectant functions. It is not like the heat protectant is blocking or reducing the heat setting on the flat iron.
For tangles, it's all in the shampoo you use and how you handle the hair while washing it. Experiment with rich creamy moisturizing shampoos. When shampooing the hair, work in sections, use gentle circular motion on the scalp while holding the ends straight. The goal is to keep the hair in the direction it naturally falls while shampooing.
BabyWolfie, Take a deep breath girl you got this one. Every woman regardless of race has said the same thing 😭😭😭😭. Find a good, local black hair dresser and watch them work on your hair. Ask their advice on what products work on your hair. Check out utube on porosity. Finally, show your hair that you ain't playing😡😡😡 we got your back💯💯💯💯
Thanks for the video I'm suffering with my new growth i can't even comb it and too dry

Deep conditioning before and after washing your hair, is the key while stretching the relaxer!

yes girl. I can't comb or style my hair for nothing without stretching it first at this point
I thought the same thing about heat protectors when i read the ingredients a lot of those have alcohol and alcohol drys out the hair. A good moisturizer and oil will do fine against the heat
I'm 5months post an just did this your way love it thank you doll
Good job!! I am struggling with detangling. My hair sheds like crazy when I'm combing or braiding it into a protective style.
Yeah I've noticed more shedding the past two weeks too
Where did you get that comb from? It looks like a really good comb?
Definitely going to try your method; will prob need to watch this again a few times first. Great video and thank you for sharing!
Thanks so much. I must try this.
Ive been looking for tips to stretch my hair for a long time now. Thank you.
Hey Tyiece, i just love watching ur videos...You've become such a boss at managing the textures.
Used your routine after washing. It worked great. Will continue this
I agree... finding your magic product is key. Is your hair low or high porosity. I want to try ur products.Where did u buy ur detangling comb.

Same here .I hate having the thought of product on my scalp
I'm super late commenting but thanks for this video. super helpful!
You’re welcome. Transitioning days was so hard. Happy I’m past that stage in my journey. How’s yours going?
@@Tyiece I'm currently 3 months post but I bet things will get interesting around 6 months post

Thanks girl. Surprisingly I don't have detangling issues. Good luck on your journey as well. Can't wait to reach one year post
Tyiece Me too girl.. I will be one year post in August so I am excited bout that!!
Mines will be first week of November 😀
Tyiece Well alright!! 😊 We can do this girl lol..

Love this method, thanks so much for this video!
Thanks, you're welcome hun
Yass girl gotta try this! TFS
What’s the name of that comb?
I'm loving your shower comb. Who is it made by?
Goody
Tyiece Thank you! I'm going to search for it on the Internet now.
My 4c hair loves castor oil too. It makes it extremely soft but coconut oil stiffens my hair so I ditched it
Same here. I stopped using coconut oil for that reason as well
Tyiece I think coconut oil is overrated or maybe it works for some people
That's why i loooove watching relaxer videos in english, I learn new methods for my hair for the horrible stretching, thanks ! (I'm french and there is not a lot of relaxer videos
I was waiting on this video tyiece I love it girl👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾what do you think about the dark and lovely damage slayer system?
I've never used it
Yassss so glad to c u sis😍😍😍 Lukn Beautiful 😍
Thank you hun
I need that comb!!!
Question? Are you trying to grow out the relaxed hair? Or are you spacing your relaxers?
I grew out the relaxer 2 years ago. I’m already natural now 😊
Very informative
Thanks for video
We’re you tender headed? Or ever get tender headed?
No I’ve never been tender headed
Where did you purchase the comb?
Target. It's conair brand
I'm going try it en see
Not bad!!
I have a softer texture than yours ..and I cannot go past 3 months ..i just dnt have the patience with it + im pass bra strap length..i admire your patience..
Thanks
well-done Dear.
This is my length now
Is this a daily routine or does this process last a while?
It last a week until my next wash day
for the few times i use direct heat on my hair i never use a heat protectant and i still retain length. Direct heat is still being applied to the hair so i dont know how the heat protectant functions. It is not like the heat protectant is blocking or reducing the heat setting on the flat iron.
Right! Ive always wondered what it was actually doing lol. Jbco feels like it does a better job at retaining the softness
Tyiece i love castor oil too. Its my holy grail oil for my new growth.
I'm 4 months post and suffering sooo bad
What is the main problem? Moisture? Tangles?
Tyiece tangles hun
Its the same for me...am suffering from both. I think i'll be trying ORS' sulfate free shampoo to see if my results differ
I still use the ORS aloe shampoo once a month to clarify. It is so good. I always look forward to how my products perform after

Your hair is damaged lots of strings need to cut strings or it will break off
Are you transitioning? Seems as though you are losing your relaxed hair now. So thin
why don't you just cut off all of the relaxed hair?
Because I still like to put my hair in a ponytail and braids
Tyiece oh okay.
So so so so so uy noo 🤮🤮🤮😡😡
I hate being half black (not a hate comment) I CANT DO SHIT WITH MY HAIR AT ALL !!!! IM CRYING
