    Good points! I'm loving your channel especially for the relaxed girl market. UA-cam has so many natural girls but not as much for relaxed so thanks for coming on!

      +Ti. Sonders awwww thank you 😊 I agree as it seems there is a massive natural hair community on UA-cam but just a handful in comparison that are relaxed .... I plan to add more diverse content to my channel but Haircare is my main focus.

      I do agree totally. So straightforward! I wish I’d known all this years ago but very happy indeed to find out such vital knowledge from a very kind beautiful lady who’s willing to share. You have beautiful hair, skin and attitude too! I’ve subscribed and will check out your other videos too. Stay very blessed💁🏽‍♀️❣️❣️

    You're "GORGEOUS" & so's your hair!!! Not trying to top ya but I also would like to let my fellow relaxed ladies know you can have healthy relaxed hair as I've been relaxing since 1988 & you're never too old to care about the health of your hair!!!

      +Barbara Larkins thank you 😊I've been relaxed for 20 years and basically this is what I have based my channel upon . The notion the your hair cannot be healthy
      & relaxed long-term. .... it isn't true in my case and seems it's the same for you 💁🏽I'm glad you left this comment as it shows there are other women out there just like me ( you've actually been relaxed longer! ) I appreciate your feedback and yes, right your never to old, it's a lifetime commitment to maintain healthy hair regardless of the hair route you choose.

      Jazzie Jae I'm subscribed to you and love your channel .... especially the video about why you love your relaxed hair. Unfortunately now relaxed ladies face allot of unwarranted criticism for a hair choice we do not try to persuade others to pursue. I'm here just to impart knowledge and hope it helps others along their relaxed and even natural hair journey

    Everything you said was so true, but I feel like since I've been getting a relaxer for so long like since I was little and having so many trials and errors to tell you the truth when people say perms ruin your hair it's not entirely true, it is completely 100% on how you take care of your hair, when I had my trial and errors and had to get hair cuts it was because I wasn't taking care of my hair, me. It is absolutely possible to maintain healthy hair while getting relaxers you just have to like you said invest your time in your hair. When I see girls say they had heat damage ok yeah understandable, but it's not always a perms fault because somebody isn't taking care of their hair you know? Nice video btw, new subscriber ❤️😍

    • @findlayco4338
      @findlayco4338  8 років тому +3

      Bre Janky thank you for taking the time to comment and subscribing 😊 your so correct in everything that you are saying . Relaxed hair is like any other hair choice, it requires care and investment .... I've yet to meet a person with beautiful hair who neglects it . They always spend time and money on maintaining their hair . Relaxer gets a bad reputation and yes it is a harsh chemical but if you care for your hair , it's definitely possible to have healthy hair for years and years while relaxing .

I just relaxed my hair yesterday and I want my hair to look as soft and beautiful as yours. I'm investing in everything I can't go to a professional there are none in my area.

    Thank you so much for sharing your video. I will follow your very straightforward advice on all points. I used to use permanent hair colour with the aim of covering my grey hairs for longer... but I will definitely go for a semi permanent now. Currently I’m using ORS hydrating shampoo and the hydrating creamy conditioner that smells like lemons. I’ll definitely check out Aveda though. You look completely fabulous too. God bless you!💁🏽‍♀️❣️

    Love your channel and it's really helpful for relaxed girl here. Your hair is so beautiful and healthy
    Questions for you:
    1. what do you think of the LOC or LCO method for relaxed hair?
    2. what do you do to moisturize and hydrate your hair?
    3. Can you give me some example of moisturizer that you use?
    Give us more content more often :-)

    • @findlayco4338
      @findlayco4338  8 років тому +2

      +yNadjy Joseph hi and welcome to my channel , In regards to the LOC method I don't use it on my hair , because I wear my hair down all the time so it's just too much product and will give my hair that greasy look, I think it's good on hair that is usually worn up.
      At the moment I use Mizani Supreme oil and Mizani spradiance ( which is a serum) I also deep condition weekly especially as it's going into the winter months 😊

    I wash my hair three time a week you what you right you said we should trimming our hair for three months you before I don't like trimming my hair I be like my hair will take time to grow according to what my hair dresser said that trimming is different from cutting one time she trim it for me then I went to the to another stylist to get my sew in done she wash my hair with my own shampoo and conditioner and deep conditioner then after that she trim it for and blow dry it before moisture it with my wild growth hair oil wish I use as a daily moisturizer

  • @alorah4831
    @alorah4831 8 років тому +2

    Great tips! I read that sometimes your stylist gives you a treatment when you visit the salon, what does that entail? Is it a more intense form of deep conditioning?

    • @findlayco4338
      @findlayco4338  8 років тому +1

      +WENTRA FREEMAN I've been going to the same stylist for years so I can only talk from my experience . My stylist uses a professional treatment deemed as " for salon use only " it is available to buy from supplier/ high street to use yourself but as I said the hairdresser is trained to see and can spot any problems areas or hair changes therefore can trailer the treatment to your specific needs .
      Of course you can do treatments at home yourself but for the most part I would always advice if your not a long term relaxed person that your journey begin with sound professional advice and assistance .

      I have relaxed hair too, and I'm stretching at the moment (13 weeks in, relaxing next week, touches my collarbone). My question is: How do you create body within your hair? I've barely used heat since my last relaxer in July (like 3 times), and my hair just falls flat.

    • @findlayco4338
      @findlayco4338  8 років тому +2

      +Nora Brown is your hair cut in one length or is it layered ?? I have layers in my hair which creates body , I also use very light oils on my hair which doesn't make it heavy, this helps which bounce and body . I air dry my hair which give allot more body also .

    • @moonandstarsatnight
      @moonandstarsatnight 8 років тому +1

      It's all one length. I was stupid and tried trimming my hair myself in May, so the front is like 2 or 3 inches shorter than the rest of my hair. I wanna wear it blown out sometimes, but I feel like its not long enough for my liking.
      I'm just trying to figure out ways to wear it, because I've been keeping it under wigs in order to help grow it out really. Any suggestions for that too? 😭😪

    • @findlayco4338
      @findlayco4338  8 років тому +1

      +Nora Brown well it sounds like my hair is shorter then yours and if you look at my other videos your see some demonstration videos of styles I wear my hair in . But if your trying to grow it ? so your keeping it under wigs/ weaves then keep doing what your doing till it gets to your desired length

      +AMAL I like both the Olive oil relaxer by ORS in regular or the Mizani butterblend. The ORS relaxer is really good at straightening the hair but does leave your hair a little dry. The Mizani relaxer is gentle on the hair but doesn't get your hair as straight.

      +Joanna Lorraine Yes if you look at "my crazy hair journey" video I explain how continued permanent colour, did make my hair dry so I had to cut it in stages to get my hair back to health. In regards to your hair only you know, if your not liking it's current condition because it has become damaged, seek help from a good haircare professional, who can advise on the next steps to take. I didn't cut all my hair off I just had regular cuts until most the colour was gone .
