Larry Fitzgerald's postseason in 2008 was the greatest ever by a wide receiver. He is a phenomenal player and most certainly a first-ballot hall of famer. He's a top 5 all time wide receiver easily
From an Eagles fan, i remember watching this game being disappointed we lost, but still having massive respect for Fitz. The dude is a beast. Should've had a ring that year.
@@Soundofsilver2007 Colts fan here. They have Kyler Murray, Larry Fitzgerald, Deandre Hopkins now. They still have a top 15 defense. They will be in contention for the next few years. But 49ers are set to win a Super Bowl next year. I'm going to predict 49ers vs. Chiefs again this year but 49ers will get their revenge. 49ers vs. Buccaneers and Chiefs vs. Colts conference championship games. We're stacked but our offense is too young and inexperienced besides Rivers but if we have to face any division oppenent we can win and Ravens are not built to match up for the Colts, Reich has a better offensive mind than Harbough and we have a better defense. Save the date
Yep Eagles were a 6 seed and went through the 3 Vikings the 1 Giants (who beat the 15-0 patriots last year) then the 6 Eagles. But Steelers (who was a 2 seed) beat them in the super bowl they went through the 4 Chargers then the 6 ravens who upset the 1 Titans. Coincidence the 6 from both conferences make the conference championship.
C. Who Dat that 9-7 record was accurate. They were the best team in a truly shit division that year but they did not look good at all. But they caught fire in the postseason which is what matters because everyone is 0-0 when the playoffs start. It’s like a whole new season.
i’m very very late but same. Got a football Topps sticker pack for walls when i was little. Got fitz in one and asked my dad who he was. He replied by saying it was one of the greatest WRs of all time 😂
I was ten years old when this game was played. I wasn't really old enough to be heartbroken over the losses to Tampa, Carolina, or New England, but I still felt retrospective pain over them. In my opinion, you don't become a full-fledged fan of a team until you're about 8 or 9 because at that point, you're old enough to fully digest what's happening in a game and develop an emotional reaction to it. Before this game, we had a miraculous run through the end of the regular season into the playoffs and we seem destined to go to the Super Bowl. I was hyped up for the game for the whole week and could barely sleep every night. When the game act happened, all I saw was Larry Fitzgerald make big catch after big catch until the Cardinals ended up winning. I was heartbroken and vividly remember crying on my bedsheets after the game. It was my first official moment of heartbreak as an Eagles fan. Fitz has destroyed us so much over the years to the point where I grew to greatly respect him, both as a player and as a human being. He's one of my favorite players in NFL history now. Hopefully he can end his Hall of Fame career playing on a contender. I'd certainly take him on the Birds.
On that first TD, 3 Eagles hit him, but he doesn't go down until a teammate makes contact with him. As a 49ers fan, I have mad respect for Leaping Larry. An all-time legend.
I was at this game. It was so surreal. It was just weird because for years the Cards were the doormat of the NFL then all of a sudden they were going to the Super Bowl. The entire crowd had this feeling of "did that just happen?"
Being a Giants fan it was so satisfying seeing Fitzgerald playing Jedi mind tricks on Sheldon Brown at the line of scrimmage with that tap dance before catching it in the endzone. 04:18 😂😂😂
I still remember, because the Steelers played that night, if we got to the Super Bowl it was going to be hard to contain that man, We may have won that Game but man did Larry ball in the Super Bowl
Yes he did he almost won that thing single-handedly in the 2nd half. He went into Video Game Mode. Great Super Bowl. When he zipped up the up the middle of the field on that slant under 2 min I thought the Cards had hit. Perfect Pass won that game. Right over the finger tips.
DAMN Asante Samuel, Sheldon Brown, Brian Dawkins... Eagles secondary was stacked that year and Fitz made them look like a bunch of JV high school players.
Fitz is my favorite player.. I've never told someone that and they be like "I hate him" I tell that I'm a Cardinals fan. People are like "Eww why" I say "My favorite player is Larry Fitzgerald" and they are always "Oh yeah Fitzgerald is cool"
Honestly, you could make a whole video about every Cardinals game vs. the Eagles from the last 10-15 years or so, and it could easily pass for a Larry Fitzgerald highlight reel. That's how much he terrorized our defense for the longest time every time we played him.
A select few QBs might’ve been just as good, but no QB has ever been better when facing a blitz than Kurt Warner. Pair that with a Top 5 all time WR (#2 IMO), and you get magic. It’s just a shame it was only for two years.
I can’t believe this game was 10 years ago and it doesn’t even look like it. I actually wanted the Cardinals to win the super bowl that year cause I loved Kurt Warner and Larry Fitzgerald.
That offense was really balanced in the passing game, with 3 1000 yard receivers. I mean it really was a pick your poison attack, with sure hands on Fitz and Boldin being most notable in tough situations. Breaston was overlooked because of those two, who you could argue were one of the best 1-2 tandems of all time.
This entire postseason should have been included for Fitz. 30 Rec/ 546 Yards/ 7 TDs All NFL records for a single postseason, previously held by Jerry Rice.
Warner-Fitzgerald was one of the most brief, but one of the most underrated QB-WR duos ever
Adam E Yes
Adam E big facts
Adam E they were great
A lot better than want Fitzgerald has had the last few years
KRISTOPHER CURTIS very true
Larry Fitzgerald is a great player. He should be in the hall of fame
TuftedTundra595 he will be, and if he plays long enough, there’s a chance he’ll surpass jerry rice for greatest receiver of all time

Cards were 9-7 and hosted the NFC Championship
i was wondering how they did that. they won their division while the eagles were a wild card right?
Yep Eagles were a 6 seed and went through the 3 Vikings the 1 Giants (who beat the 15-0 patriots last year) then the 6 Eagles. Highlight Heaven eagles were 9-6-1 so
But tbh that 9-7 wasn’t an accurate record for that team. They proved it by almost beating Pittsburgh in the Super Bowl

Caleb Morris when the cardinals are playing good in the playoffs it’s always an extremely entertaining game

First he is the greatest without a ring, second HE NEEDS ONE!!
@@brentondickson812 did you hear about Randy Moss?
@jacobdecker9952 thats a really good take, moss had more talent but fitz put in more effort
I got to meet Larry Fitzgerald at Superbowl 43 when I was 9.

And one of those Eagles was Brian Dawkins.
As a lions fan, I've seen him terrorize us and many teams over the years. Much respect
Don't mind Fitzgerald, just one of the greatest playoff WRs that no one talks about.
This was when he was my favorite player by far. Ahhh good times. Miss my childhood
12 years later and I still have tears in my eyes from watching these highlights. I can't wait to see it happen again in a couple months
Larry won't be there this time even if they do make a deep playoff run
Fitz is the most underappreciated player of this generation , I dedicate this blunt to his 420 yards record
This was the first and only football game I have been able to go to. I’ll never forget watching Larry straight go off

Should of uploaded his highlights from this entire playoff run
I wish i could forget this. I remember the heartbreak.
This is nothing compared to watching Scott Norwood missing the field goal that would’ve won the Super Bowl for Bills. At least you guys won last year.
You just won the Super Bowl you aren’t allowed to say that especially when the Cards don’t have one.

Prime Fitz was a different beast. Todd Haley + Warner + Fitz is a deadly combo.
Time is ticking for Larry. He should have had a ring that year. Still one of the best combos I think with Larry and Kurt.
Greatest game in Arizona Cardinals history. Sometimes I still can't believe they went to the Super Bowl. Sometimes dreams really do come true.
Now that we have a Super Bowl, this is probably the most painful loss since I've been a fan.

Oh man I forgot, looking at the score it was 21-6 cardinals then the next instant it was 25-24 Eagles
And then your team had to go and take away his shot at a ring in the next game...
Great vid bro!
The route on the fade for the 3rd TD though 👀
That flea flicker vs. Hail Larry vs Packers, which play is more iconic?
Derek Rebello Hail Larry. On the play he jukes put so many defenders
Landon Collins yeah that game was incredible so much fun to watch
The superbowl against the Steelers was a classic. Too bad he and Kurt didn't have a few more years together
INCREDIBLE, GREATEST OF ALL TIME
Larry better get a ring before he retires
The Real Julian Edelman doubt it
The Real Julian Edelman juicer
philly_ sports Despite my username, I am actually not Julian Edelman, and I have never taken PEDs
