If I give you N1500, to prepare a filling meal for 4, what are you cooking?
Still in the spirit of being an ideal customer because #WhereYouShopMatters, I've taken on the challenge to make a delicious meal for N1500. I will be taking you to a local market to support the vendors like I've been doing these past weeks!

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Sisi Yemmie, please set your UA-cam captions on in settings,so I can follow all. (Someone will comment not understanding my comment)
I'm clinically deaf and depend on captions to help understand the audio. Ok?
Have a blessed day everyone.
❤️❤️❤️
@sisiyemmietv please take note
@sisiyemmie please take note
You can go to settings, select your caption and select english auto-generated. It automatically subtitle the caption
I think you can do that yourself,by clicking on the three dots that show on the top right corner of your screen when you pause a video, you would see the (caption) option there, just click on English and continue watching(at least that how I do it when I want a video subtitled)
**I love market VLOG so much, its my favourite vlog**
This is my 5th year subscribed to Sisi yemi channel and its has been loaded VLOG back to back..
Thank you Yemi
This so interesting to watch. Really creative and insightful, because this is the everyday reality of A LOT of Nigerians
Wow...Sisi you over tried👏that's less than $4 organic food. I know Nigeria is hard but the cost of living is far better compared to other countries. Nice vlog!!
That is if you are talking about fresh foods.
@@thefoodmodel104 who wants to eat process food.
You did well Yemisi. The food looks delicious and yummy. My daughter and I cooked your best pasta recipe from two days ago and tagged you on Instagram. It was amazing. Hope you have had a chance to see it? I couldn't tag you on Facebook.
Wow that's great👍🏿👍🏿
You are one supportive commenter I see on Nigerian UA-camrs comment sections, I think I've said that before, just wanted to give you the ACCOLADE again😊.
Wehdone Sir
Yemisi, you tried! Well done! 👏👏👏I am just laughing here as I live in the diaspora and N1500 is about £3 so if I were to use £3 to feed a family of 5 it would be a struggle. We would probably end up with omellet with toast or maybe I could make a basic pasta dish (but it would be a vegetarian one as no money for meat or fish). Also, as we can't buy half bottle of oil here, so I would still have to use my staple kitchen cupboard supplies I have at home (oil, salt, pepper, seasonings, herbs etc) to support as I won't be able to afford them within my £3 budget. That said, you have given me some food for thought so thank you.😂
I was thinking the same. £3 ?
I think I can make it work. If I use oil and seasoning I already have. From Sainsburys (as of today) I could get the following from their value range
60p - 500g pack of pasta (1)
28p- 400g tin chopped tomato (1)
18p- onions (2)
43p- pack of carrot
1.05 - eggs (pack of 6)
Total - £2.54
This will get me a pot of tomato pasta and boiled eggs. For a family of 4. My kids are young though.
I love peppered Kpomo 😋😋and this is a meal I'll enjoy because I love plantain.
You managed the money well jare 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
Budget queen!! 😂😂
I should try this 💃🏾
Sisi you make me laugh 🤣pepper kpomo really goes with chill drinks, you did a job with only 1,500k. You are a good manager. You try there's no doubt about that

The way you cooked this food ehn! I was drooling! So yummy !
If i may...pls can u make a food time table of how to spend #20k in a month for a family of 5? Since most Nigerians earn minimum wage
I will love to see this.. Thou it's not gonna be easy.
Most Nigerian earn more than minimum wage.
That's my food budget for 2ppl and it's hardly enough sef after buying provisions n stuff. I can't imagine how 5ppl will manage but I'd like to see it too
I can cook vegetables with it in Nigeria
Ugu 200
Waterleave 100
Cameroon pepper 50
Maggi 50

That’s approx $5 CAD. Use it to buy oil and plantain and make dodo.

True, but maybe 1 or 2 plantains and really cheap tiny bottle of canola oil lol
Wow I'm so impressed at how creative you are. I wouldn't think 1500 would be enough to prepare a meal like this. I love the peppered pkomo. You did well, I'll definitely give it a go.

Hey👋🏼❤
Banter With Nj hi darling! Do this in Nnewi.
Owo I am going to try this look delicious and yummy thanks for sharing this
You really tried, N1,500 bought more food and kpomo than Europe, oh my God,our country is a little bit okay, thanks Sisi Yemmie for this competition👍👍✌✌👀
Wow, here in the U.K, they sell 3 plantains for £1.20 which is almost N600, so over a quarter of the money alone just on plantain. Even though people say Nigeria is a hard place, food is far cheaper than here in the U.K. You'll need at least £20.00 to cook this type of meal which is equivalent to N10k +. So things aren't as rosy in the west as people back home think.
Waoo this is great and going to be trying this and what I can cook with it
Oh my days. This is a great video. Can't wait to try it and come up with a challenge
Infact, you are amazing. Welldone
