I don't often use apoyando. My basic is clearly tirando but for the thumb I love apoyando, it makes basses more present and set them as solid foundation to build music on them 🥰🥰

wow looking forward to this. Got your guitar, black limba !!! wow, love it. The neck is the most comfortable ever. Light weight guitar and the sound projects from the all over the guitar. Un uso para el "apoyando" también puede ser para cortar sonidos en la cuerda superior con respecto de la cuerda pulsada, el concepto de: "medio-apoyando" creado por Jorge Martinez Zárate propone tocar un apoyando con menos fuerza o intensidad y yo creo que esto funciona muy bien como apagador, Alfredo Escande renombrado alumno de Carlevaro también explica la función del apoyando para apagar sonidos.
