    Dear Marco, thanks. Undoubtedly many students and pros alike would love to hear what you want to say/share about Guitar and Music in general but... what's the point of these videos? I've seen some, and got the impression that those are in a series of Technical Lectures "to be released soon"; but since these were made in 2016 and, so far, nothing had came out as a 'complete package', hence my question: what they're for, exactly?
    If your intention were to share it, then why to edit them short, offering only a 'preview'?
    If your intention were to sell it (maybe to paid members/subscribers), then why there's no mention of it at all in the Description above?
    Also, notice that if your intention was to be heard and clearly understood, then why your staff was so incompetent at recording and editing it properly?
    I can't tell you it all here, in public, but you really need to urgently upgrade your Video staff, as they're ruining it for you. If you use Skype and want to have a more direct contact, you can PM me and I'll get back to you asap.
    Those were my concerns about these unfinished videos that most (I guess) would like to see in its entirety.
    Other than that, my homage and due compliments on your exceptional technical skills, you were really gifted in this life. All the best for you and your family, always!
    Muchas Gracias desde Brasil!

      HI! Thanks for your comments. The intention was and still is to create a line of teaching connected to the base of the guitar performance and supporting the musical charge of the compositions. Unfortunately I had not enough time to continue posting regularly as concert tours and teaching got lot of time of mine. However, I still have in mind to create a platform for teaching and to share my musical ideas. Thank you again for your advices and critics. We will take them into consideration. best regards!

    apoyando vs tirando is a ghost discussion in classical guitar. full apoyando (with resting finger on the next string) is important for students to build up a standard for a full and round tone, but not even flamenco players use full ap. for their fast lines.

    • @12goodmusic
      @12goodmusic  5 років тому

      Hi Gerd, believe me, there is only either apoyando or not apoyando. Three basic movements in the right hand. Apoyando is the most natural for the hand, providing balance and relaxation. Indeed, that is why it is possible to play fast line and directional, and forte, and all desired if playing apoyando. We could meet somewhere and I can explain better what I mean. Flamencos does it full in their fast lines. Best regards!

    • @albatrosseable
      @albatrosseable 5 років тому

      Andres Batista, a well known player and teacher from Granada told me so (30 years ago). He exactly said : "there is no time to rest a finger anywhere. Start slowly with getting the finger to the next string. But playing real tempo, you will come in touch with that string casually, but not regulary or for resting a finger."
      Same for classical players in my opinion.

    Muy buen video Marco! Hace tiempo tengo una dificultad con el toque al aire (o tirando) que no me pasa al tocar apoyado. Como que apoyando los dedos tienen de por si una determinada presión que es mas complicada de lograr al aire, si quiero tocar tirando tengo que hacer mas esfuerzo y no tengo la misma velocidad y soltura que apoyando (ni hablar del volumen, pero creo que eso es algo natural). Sabes si es normal esto? Si ya de por si el toque al aire es mas complicado de dominar que el apoyado? Gracias

    Interesting; to play rest stroke in the BWV 1006 prelude, at that speed, is quite a challenge. Is it musically justified and technically feasible for the entire length of the piece? Questionable, even when it is attempted by a great performer like Mr. Tamayo.

    • @12goodmusic
      @12goodmusic  7 років тому +2

      It is of course possible to play including apoyando throughout the whole work, which does not mean to play everything apoyando. There is nothing questionable here as apoyando is a sing of balance, not force or anything else. As a result of using it, we can have a strong sound and volume in some places where it si needed and tirando wouldn't -cannot provide us with that.

    • @12goodmusic
      @12goodmusic  3 роки тому

      well, this once more, depend on the passage and the character of the music. It depend also on the technical demand of the passage. For directional and fast scales, apoyando is much balance there for louder and faster...

    Apoyando always sounds a bit more stakkato-ish to my ears, especially in fast runs. Similar to chicken picking in country-guitar. I'm not sure if I like it with baroque-style music. Maybe it is a matter of what you are used to hear.

    • @12goodmusic
      @12goodmusic  6 років тому

      Hello. Marco Tamayo here. Apoyando always existed also in Baroque music. Apoyando more or less staccato depends on the skills of the musician who porform it. It isn't fair to judge a technical procedure of this kind in that way, as it sounds different from hand to hand, according to the way it is done and the movement used for it. Best wishes!

      Well, you don't have to agree. The history and the documents that we have of the lute players show that there is apoyando in the Baroque. Furthermore, it is clear that you understand both as really different things. I do not. Furthermore, Ying and Yang do not exist without each other. But even more, I can demonstrate that it works, that the combination of both solves many of the problems of yesteryear and current in the interpretation of Baroque music. Therefore, I encourage you to send or post a video of this work, the BWV 1006 Prelude, played by you. Then and more, All famous guitarists use both procedures in baroque music. And I do not have enough space or letters to give more examples. And the celebrities that I refer are not Spanish. And the famous Spaniards, for the most part, do not use apoyando on the baroque ... then? send me a video please. And thanks for your comment. You know my name and who I am. Could you give your face here too? Easy to write behind the curtain... right?
