Margot, the screw finder. 😂 A little bit of mass chaos painting with a toddler is hilarious. I remember those days well. Thank you Amy, Marc and Margo.
You are an incredibly patient mother. I don’t have children and watching you makes me realize for the millionth time how good that decision was. I am amazed how focused you are able to stay under those circumstances.
It’s honestly a joy to see life from a different perspective. Things aren’t always as fast or efficient but the two of them make me laugh so much and help me to enjoy things I’d forgotten to enjoy.
@@Chroniclesofrosiereslove that Aimee 😊💜
I just love seeing Juliette “helping” you sample the paint colors. I agree with your response above that they make you laugh and enjoy their sweetness. Love all that you and Marc are doing. ❤
And the two little elves waiting to go get the Christmas tree, just made my day complete! Wonderful lifestyle you have there! Good for you all, making this into magical paradise! ❤😊
I'm so happy that your UA-cam channel popped up for me today, because I've loved your family ever since I first saw you on the DIY show. What a joy to see the children growing and your restorations coming to life. Thank you so much for sharing
I'm glad you found us!
Idea for Mark for Xmas gift. A tool belt with a place for screws, tools etc and a headband torch when he needs a light. Saves him carrying things in his mouth then dropping them.
Ha ha - I've thought about a tool belt but he'd never wear it. He never uses useful accessories. I might get one for myself though!
I have all my own tools, things my husband doesnt 'want or need.' Then, he 'borrows' my things, and doesnt put them back, and never remembers where he put them.
@@Chroniclesofrosieresso funny😂, wishing you wonderful Christmas 🎉
This was delightful! First snow of the season, Christmas elves and more progress!
Juliette is so cute - even on a bad hair day - plus she is such a great helper!
Marc did a great job installing the spotlights!
I think the dark greys are too dark. I much prefer the light neutrals. Looking forward to seeing what you choose. Juliette was having so much fun helping you sort them! ❤
Juliette is such a great helper! 🥰 Marc needs one of those magnetic wrist bands to hold the screws. 😂🤣
This was fun. I liked the disco lights myself, lol. 😂 how about using a pale cream or natural stone color on the paneling to tie the stone walls and the beams in more? Just an idea. The kids were precious, as always. Loved how Juliette was helping with the paints.
Just my 2 cents worth, pale yellowy cream would also make the wood paneling look more like a fence too. Dark colours will visually recede relative to the mural, and this might make more sense. Perhaps you could paint the doors & trim the same colour to keep the focus on the mural? I love the way Marc pays attention to your every word, Amy. He delights in your animated behaviour. You are a good man, Marc! True respect.
It's amazing how much you guys are able to do with two small kids full of curiosity!
Painting the paneling the same color as it is naturally would cover the imperfections of the wood but still keep it the natural wood tone. The natural wood tone looks good with the stone walls.
I love the disco lights. LOL. The children are so adorable and growing so fast. This will be a special Christmas for you all as the children are older.❤
I would recommend a creamy white to match the creamy white in the mural. You don't want to fight that beautiful mural and you do want the paneling to be a "quiet" element in the room. I can't wait to see it done with the paneling painted. It will be beautiful!!!
This is definitely the way we're leaning at the moment!
Amy, Marc & you are a great team/couple💞 & your children are adorable💞. Juliette is such a darling little girl, very quiet🥰. I look forward to seeing more of her & Claremont😊. The coach house is coming along swimmingly now, you have worked very hard on the walls & tiles😍 can’t wait to see it completed! 💞 Marc & your sense of humour .😊
I love the paneling as it is…I think you should keep it as wood tone
Like as it is too
Sorry the wood is really not nice. It might seem so from a distance on camera but it was made to be painted!
I believe you would make your decorating life easier with the use of a Color Wheel. They are inexpensive tools that can be mastered in a short time. The Wheel defines colors that compliment each other.
I'll have a look! Thanks for the tip!
Why not paint the pine a color to match the grout lines in the floor? It would go well and be a unifying element.
I wouldn’t go with a strong color. I would do a light cream color or the palest of your sample gray, beige and whites.. Anything else will take away from the beautiful mural colors. Marc, thank goodness Margot has good eyesight to find those tiny screws!!! The color outside is beautiful with the snow mix!!! Have fun with your Christmas elves!!! xx
Bahahahahaha KEEP the Disco lights!!! Very nice warm lighting even if not so party 😜
I suggest the paneling be painted to match the floors and stone walls so some shade of off-white/cream/light yellow, etc.
I would have done a rich, somewhat light, honey-colored brown that complimented and picked up the brown in the tree mural and the floor and the beams.
Amy, no offense to Marc, I love how you are always laughing at him, lovingly of course!! 🤣
Ah, the pure joy of first snow! Amy, don't be embarrassed! You ought to see how people act here when it snows which is rare! 😂 Adults act like kids going for rides on anything that will slide!
I cannot get enough of that beautiful wall mural! And I am SO glad that the color choice is NOT up to me.
Cracked up at the disco lights and Marc’s dance 🕺🏿. How fun for your kids to play in the snow. Have fun getting your Christmas 🎄 😍😘
The mural is beautiful. And your kids are fun to watch!😊
Nice job on the lightening Marc Love the disco lights again🤣😘 Your children are little cherubs . Loved watching🎄
Keep in mind, green goes with any color, like the forest
I did love the green but fear it’s a bit too close but not close enough to the green on the mural. I’ll do a test and see. Maybe another green, you could be right!
I love the light grey it tones with both blue and green on mural
If the color is from the stone wall it will help unify the space.
Good tip!
Amy & Marc, it’s been a while since I’ve checked in…. Wow! Love the progress. Juliette is growing up so fast & is a great assistant:-) xxx
Do you like the lights, Clement?
No! 🤣
Welcome back!
Congratulation on your best creation, those two most beautiful sweet little elves ever made. I love your babies. Bravo on all the works achievement this year, but your children are the very best in my view, and at the end, this was comptes the most in your beautiful life, merry christmas my dear friends❤❤❤❤
Lovely video. Your babies are simply adorable. ❤❤
Amy, you have so much patience. Juliette is such a cutie. A soft pale grey or green l think will compliment the beautiful grapevine mural that you now have on the wall. Marc, the disco lights look fantastic.Magnetic screwdrivers work really well. Amy there's an idea for Marc for Christmas lol😊
Agree on magnetic power tool. Best invention
Lovely connection Mother and Daughter
I love the alcove with the lamp, it looks very atmospheric.😊
I thought for sure that Mark would kneel on the screw he was looking for.
Juliet is so cute
What about “ pickling” the paneling! Pickling involved whipping in a very light color , even white, and then whipping off,, so it is mostly wood color but with a slight subtle color with slightly darker highlights in places where the paint was less whipped off due to wood flaws. I would recommend using the same white that is already there. Test it out on a spare piece of wood.
We can certainly test it!
I hope you've chosen a darkish grey colour for the panelling - that's what I would have chosen, even before you showed all the sample pots. I can't wait to see the finished result!
You’re similar to Marc! We still haven’t chosen as we just filmed that yesterday. We’ll have a proper look on Monday!
Great ideas! Just rember if you have yellow pine the yellow will bleed through and change your paint color. Your blue will have a greener tint. If you have red pine it will have a purple tint. It might not show up right away. So be careful,or put a blocker on first 😮
Good to know!
Juliet's bed hair reminded me of my daughter's many years ago. Need some no more tangles. Waiting to see the colour decision 😊
Family! ❤❤
Lighter colors look better, or whitewash
Great music behind the screw dropping segment! 😂
I vote disco! 😉
I quite like the pink one as far as going with the floor, would the darker ones reduce the effect of the blue and the mural?
Whichever you choose I am sure it will look amazing 😀
Love your channel!
That’s very kind of you to say. Thank you!
I just missed the chat, wanted to tell you that I loved your Norwegian kofte (we call this kind of cardigan kofte in Norway) 😍😍😍
Thank you! I just got it on vinted. I love all Norwegian jumpers!
I love watching all you’re doing & best of all the children❤️💙. Juliette is like a little doll🥰, Clement is adorable & is speaking like Papa😍💞. Great job on the restoration!
I think the green/blue you liked is beautiful and would be an “intermediary” color to tie the to the stone wall. Or the pinky one Mark liked but some of the grey might darken the room.🤔
Either a cream color to tie in the stone walls and tile grout or a dark blue/grey that works with the blue wall and is opposite to the stone and tile areas.
😊😅 most likely of no help whatsoever🎉
Great progress in that bedroom, can’t wait to see it finished 😊
WOW! First day of December? I was thinking this had probably already been done so the colors had probably already been selected! I’m still watching - I’ll see if I have a vote after the video ends. 😊
This may be a bit radical but what about a green to compliment the leaves in the mural. At the moment I'm thinking a sagey green on the light side.
I’m really drawn to that too!
Mark did you ever consider a manafied screwdriver for the tiny screws lol it helps hugs and love to all of uou most of all health ❤😊❤😊
I think a Navy Blue would be good for the panels. No matter which material you are looking at (floor, mural, stone), it will look good.
It’s quite tempting. The dark blue sample looks good. But such a large surface might seem a bit dark.
@@Chroniclesofrosieres True. Consider how much surface area of all the colors will be visible. The floor is a lot of orange and the stone and mural will mute the dark as well. It's difficult from video to perceive the relative amounts in total.
Looks so good with the lighting! What about the trim around the doors and the top trim on the paneling using the lightess colour and the paneling the darker colour?
That’s Marc’s thought!
🍃🐦⬛. Enjoying your vlog! What part of France is Mark from, with such a unique accent?🍃
He moved around a lot growing up so people often straddle to hear his accent. But spent formative time in Besançon so you might hear that! Some people do.
☺️
BEST
🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
How many bedrooms are in the coach house and who will sleep in this one?
There are two bedrooms and we’ve not fully decided yet!
Or white like in the mural
I looked at white but it might be too bright and stark. I’ll do some larger samples.
👋👍❤️
What about just staining them ?
It’s really the texture of them that needs covering up - I’m not sure staining goes far enough!
Marc needs a magnetic screw driver
I actually like the color of your wood and wonder if it would be a good paint color option to ground the space and tie in to the beam?
Another thought is the “pink-ish” one to stay light and kind of pull in the stone and tile.
AND, I also liked the dark green that Amy liked as it looked great with the mural.
Just not sure if it would get to be too much all over.
Kind of depends on who/how the room will be used and what furniture will be in there.
Have fun getting trees!🎄🌲
🙋♀️🥰
☃️🌟👍🍀💐🧑🏻🎄
Does Mark know that his sweater is on backwards?
It’s a completely reversible guernsey jumper. No front or back!
Look like the teletubbies.
That’s what my neighbour said!
Why are you planning to move out of the chateau (into the coach house)?
Very soon hopefully!
So the young ones have clean air while they are working on the Chateau.
Marc's screws are loose!
😂😂😂😂
I could swear she’s pregnant.
Nope. Just fat and struggling with it. Thanks for pointing it out!
how rude!
I don’t think she looks pregnant at all! Ridiculous. Is that a guy writing that?
@@Chroniclesofrosieresyou look great 😊
