  • I redesigned the front to be a little more aggressive and improved the textures. I accidentally exported the previous concept at a lower quality render and didn't notice it so that was fixed this time around. I added some ambient light because the starlight just wasn't enough on its own.
I'm still not happy with the nacelles and may rework them. I also like the idea of creating a secondary "star-drive section" that attaches to the rear of the ship if it needs more power or longer range.
The dark parts with little lights is supposed to be sensors and programmable matter. This is where things like particle beam weapons, tractor beams, and so on, would be emitted.

Reminds me of the Voth Scientist's vessel from "Distant Origin" with the nacelle placement. Also looks a bit like a precursor to 27th century timeships.

Love this ship. I really like Star Trek based ships that are on the small size. Maybe two or three decks.

I love the KNIGHT RIDER light on the front!
This would make a great 32nd century vessel!

The red light on the front screams "evil drone starship"! It makes me think of a combination of the red light on the killer robot Maximilian in the Disney movie "The Black Hole" combined with the pulsing white light on Gort's helmet in the original The Day the Earth Stood Still.

Pretty interesting, kinda reminds me of the Orville. Why are there windows in the nacelles?

The rear looks like the 70's cylon fighter now just make the front light move and make that "sound" and I'd pee myself :)

Looks neat. What is the explanation for so many huge windows and so many super tiny windows? The scale is not clear.

I don't think the little ones are windows.

Thank you! The little lights in the dark areas are sensors and programmable matter. There are patches of these all over the ship. I noticed it is confusing as well and will be changing that texture out to make it more clear.

the fact that star trek makes its show interesting from how its technology work is more insane then how its story line is protraide. (its way its story is confusing, and why we have cell phones/ mobile phones we all give it to star trek.)

According to Gene Roddenberry warp engines must have line of sightt of eachother with nothing blocking it. This ship could not go to warp

Then I wonder how the Defiant goes to warp. Besides, technically his isn't star trek so that particular requirement doesn't apply to this universe.

Gene Roddenberry was not a physicist and a lot of the rules he came up with were stupid as hell and only existed to try and explain inconsistencies in his world building.

"You just quoted the most ignored rule in the book" only just behind the Captain shouldn't lead away teams.

Take a look at Zef’s Phoenix. Those warp nacelles aren’t within line of sight of each other either. Yet it was the first human ship ever to go to warp.
